Is that an ME thing? I never played that series. I'm not big on sci fi.

A DA2 DLC it had a Mirror of Transformation that allowed players to change their appearance.

And gave them a mabari.

Team Inquisitor went with Bianca to stop the templars in the Hinterlands. I'm feeling even more bitter about no Varric romance now BTW, my mob princess Cadash would have been so much better for Varric despite her world domination inclinations.

About to start my completionist journey with Hinterlands on Hard!

I pulled something in my right shoulder, and I've been in agony all day lol. But popped some pain killers, got a cuppa tea with me, so now I can get my Dragon Age on.

In my 17 playthroughs of DA2, I only used that mirror once. It was to change the hair color of Hawke from brown to red.

Today Inquisadora and friends had fun running riot through a temle in the Arbor Wilds and smashing up red templars for the fun of it. Met a very shiny elf who looked a bit miserable- not surprised really, the place was a wreck. Let Morrigan drink from the well- thousand-year-old water must taste eeeurgh. Jumped over the battlements and landed behind the stables. Lord Trifles Minutiae was there again. Only my Inquisadora gets to make the whoosh noises.

  I can't even imagine that. I used that mirror for everything from weird chin correction to break-up hair.

Finished AT LAST - thought it was awesome!

Loved all of the lore and plot developments that shaped the Inquisitor's story, and continued the story of Dragon Age. I think I played it wrong, because I decided to clear all of the areas before doing the major story missions, which means I was, like, level 20 before I did the Orlesian court party.

Still, helluv an ending!

Think I'm gonna go hunt the last of those dragons.

Spoiler

She's all "anything for you, my dear" to Inquisadora, despite disapproving of pretty much all of her major decisions. Interesting woman, could probably do with a great deal of alcohol though. Bit tightly laced.

Told Cullen staying on Lyrium was the right thing to do after telling him to take it again. His look of despair was simply wonderful.

Congrats :)  I kinda did the same thing... cleared all the areas before doing Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts, then a bazillion war table operations opened up and I had nowhere else left to explore. I suppose I could've gone out and filled those last few requisitions and completed the mosaic tile sets, etc.... but maybe Morrigan ensorcelled me and I just wanted to do whatever she wanted to do

Killed the Sandy Howler today! We used up all the healing potions (though not all the regen ones), and suffered only two (very temporary) KOs. Excellent! Turns out that actually using focus abilities helps immensely. So does switching Cole and Solas' tactics so that their preference is for stealth and barriers respectively. As does crafting element-resistant armours, a tip I took from reading SporkFu's entries in this thread! It honestly hadn't occured to me before. Thank you kindly, now I just have the Emprise du Lion dragons to defeat. Katzenjammer, or whatever your name is, you'll soon be crushed by my mighty party!

They also attended a fancy party, where I learnt that Cassandra has one million names, each more embarassing than the last. Solas wears peculiar hats to parties, but dances like a true gent. And Cole says strange things about water getting your socks wet. Poor old Lavellan listens to him and Solas talking, and understands less than half of it. Still less confusing than Solas and Bull playing chess in their minds though.

Lavellan ticked everyone off, because of her choice at the ball. What can I say? She's very elfy, so she's not going to pass up a chance to put her fellow pointy ears in power, no matter how much Sera rolls her eyes and makes scoffing noises.

She got Vivienne's quest. It seems Blackwall's will go uncompleted, since he's not reappeared in Skyhold since Adamant, and neither has his quest-triggering letter. Ah well, who needs that guy. He's a self-confessed beard thief.

Found books for Vivienne. Her dialogue changes based on what she thinks of you. If she likes you she just says thanks. If she dislikes you she says she's pleasantly surprised and it's greatly appreciated.

They went to a lot of trouble to include little details like that.

Yay, I helped somebody out  :) ... I guess we're learning new things from eachother cuz I actually didn't spec anyone's focus abilities in my game, except for my little elf mage, that is. Cassandra and Bull/Blackwall were being such awesome guarded death-machines already that I didn't want to interfere  ... I also didn't change anybody's behaviors so they probably weren't even using half of their new skills and I didn't even notice... which is kinda cool now that I think about it, gives me something new to explore this game  :D

Who is Josie's father?

Ummm... that would be Mr. Montilyet. Uhh...yeah, sorry. I have no idea,  but...

Hmm, maybe Dorian, then? At least we

Started over as a human female, for two reasons:

-Qunari face paint :crying:

-The way female characters walk is much more fitting to this:

I liked the Mirror in the Black Emporium. I would buy the DLC. Faces look different in game than they do in the creation screen. You could tweak them a bit. Sometimes the flesh tone would be too pale in game. Anyway....

***

I received word back from Starkhaven that Sebastian Vale will be sending aid. I hired an arcanist, and it turned out to be Dagna. And I hired a specialist trainer. I took my seat on the Iron Throne and rendered my first judgement. Bow before me! You do not desecrate the castle of the Herald of Andraste, Grand Inquisitor, regardless of your customs. An example must be set. The penalty is death. And conscript that Templar. I'd sentence him to death, too, if I could. Treasonous bastard! I am the Herald of Andraste!

Then we went to the war room and I sent my team on their wild goose chases, and had them open up the Exalted Plains. Cassandra, Solas, Dorian and I traveled there to begin exploring the region. It is a fascinating area full of white deer, which I immediately began hunting. There was one area in the forest that was full of them and soon I had enough to make three suits of armor.

Then I saw three more standing near what looked like three red ships and a bunch more knife ears. No offense, Solas. You're pretty cool. This is a whining lot still sore for losing their land 1000 years ago. They're the Dalish. They complained how "shems," a racist term for humans, kill halla and sell their hides in cities. Well, sorry dude. It's fine leather, and I plan to make some armor out of it. Besides the venison is pretty tasty, too. Ever try that? Or are you stuck on nuts and berries? Anyway their stores were low on a sh*tload of herbs that I had, and now they need me to go kill some big bears that apparently they can't handle. They must need the bear fat or furs or claws or something. The Keeper sent me to find this "Golden Halla" that they apparently lost. What a bunch of losers that they can't keep track of their own. They'd send their own hunters but they don't have enough. Looking around the camp, it looks like they're barely surviving, but hey, what else do I have to do but curry favor with the Dalish? We need allies. We're the Inquisition. Why isn't this guy on his knees?

Do you know how hard it is to tell which Halla is golden? Especially when you've been hunting? Well, I finally figured it out. It's the one with the light colored antlers. We drove it back to camp and all we got was a thank you. Then we were tasked with clearing out demons from their burial grounds. No problem. Demons are easy. Cassandra advised leaving the dead rest. Okay, Cassandra you're right. We'll leave it rest for now. Besides, I've been through this stuff enough times to know that people like the Keeper have magical seeing ability to see through the eyes of mosquitoes and will know if you desecrate the place. Once we have their allegiance we'll come back and loot it.

Then one woman in the camp couldn't find Valindril or whateverhisnameis. So we went to look for him and found he'd been toying around with blood magic. So we returned and I told her he was a hero trying to do some lost Elven stuff. I lied. I mean the guy is dead. Who the f*ck cares? Apparently Solas cares, and Dorian cares since they gave me hell for it afterward. Cassandra seems to be more interested in the alliance, and that's good. But the woman sends us to look for the talisman. Ugh, now I need Vivienne. Goodbye Dorian. So we get the talisman and give it to her. I'm about done with the Dalish.

All we need to do is the great bears. I need to kill three of them which means back to the war room and it's off to new regions and new messes.

I did everything in the Western Approach (except the main story bit) and did Iron Bull's personal quest. That new card is frightening.

I try to divide it out, but I'm still working to find the best balance. I did Adamant, and now I have to finish out Western Approach, do Hissing Wastes, Emerald Graves and Emprise. And I want to more or less finish those before I tackle the end because I don't want to have to run around with more or less dead companions after end game and it feels wrong to do Arbor Wilds and then spend a lot of time doing stuff between it and the final fight.

I try to do most of the stuff before Wicked Eyes. Except the Exalted Plains. It seems fitting to save that one for later.
