What do you guys believe is the best choice in the war table mission "The Good Works of Ser Ruth"?

I've checked the wiki but none of them really feels right.

I usually allow her to go to the Deep Roads. It would have been her end game anyway being a Warden. I figured she could still serve her purpose alongside the Legion of the Dead.

I think I've forgiven her once but usually it's the Deep Roads for her.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Why did I just realize your question was about the mission you get if you forgive her?  My bad!

I'm pretty sure I chose Cullen's option for that mission. Seemed like a good option at the time.

Like I said above (when I didn't pay attention close enough), during judgment ever since then I've never forgiven her. It's always the Deep Roads for her.

Agh I still need to edit pictures. Lol. I'm commenting again.

Two things:

1: Liliana looks more creepy in the PC version. She looks okishly detailed for the 360 version but I can still tell she was ****ed with. It did sound like they did cruel **** to her too by injecting stuff in her.

2:I....ehhhh....never been there. I still have Ulliah Mint Tooth in Haven so I can see what's there. It's hard to figure out what will take you where at times in the game. Last time I took a random gander was in the Arbor Wilds with Malaioniss. This was my result:

DAImov_95_zpsozmzlh99.gif?t=1435272326

I mean seriously what the heck? It makes me wonder if this "elven magic" is everywhere in the game. Lol.

I apologize for not being specific. I probably should of said "the people I have teamed up with on MP on Perlious and the second difficulty probably never played single player on NIGHTMARE difficulty and probably played the single player mode on it's easiest difficulty setting when I played single player on NIGHTMARE being the single player modes hardest difficulty". I have noticed that on Perlious and the second difficulty you really need to play smart and effective and not rush through everything. I have survived a couple games of perlious and roughly five to ten games of the second difficulty setting. Frankly i feel like I would survive more on both modes if I get people with better connections and people not rushing through everything. Like one game I had a Isabella player constantly rushing through everything on the games second difficulty and got herself downed repeatedly while I stuck close to my team-mates being a Keeper and a Katari I believe while I was playing my templar. On one game of Perlious I had a Katari constantly rushing through things and saying "COME HERE" or "FOLLOW ME!" He kept running by archers and other guys when I was playing my archer I kept getting downed by people he was running by. It made me mad. I was surprised we won.

I know Xenon had that mirror since DA 2. I myself hate the inquisition officer interupting banter too. It's like I was in the middle of a good conversation between Cassandra and Dorian about Trevnitir life and opinions on tevintir life and how Dorian sees tevintirs being similar to the seekers but it gets cut off by "Nothing to report sir". I am like damn.

Speaking of cool conversations I still wish I could of figured out the outcome of that chess match between Solas and Iron Bull. Iron Bull was starting to make a comeback by taking a-lot of Solas's pieces with his queen but Solas realized Iron Bull is using his queen as his main pice which was getting Iron Bull a bit nervous but Iron Bull retorted by saying "we shall see" because at times as he proved and dictated to Solas "looks can be decieveing".

If you ever played the dalish prologe in DAO you will know that eluvians can be cursed. If I remember DA 2 Xenon himself does mention he got a cursed eluvian as well which made him immortal. However unlike your warden or Merril Xenon is a happy camper about being a cursed demon old guy and jokes about that fact. And yes there are more than one eluvian mirrors. Morrigan doesn't have the only one. I am surprised we haven't met any more eluvian owners yet besides Merril, Morrigan, and Xenon.

Congrats on finishing the playthrough. I admit I have been following your playthrough for quite a while because I always read the spoilers and like the pictures and your inquisitor. I just cannot remember what difficulty the playthrough was on. What difficulty were you playing on with Julian?

Well you can always send a text version. Lol. Just say "Sporkfu likes this post" or something. Lol. j/k. Anyway I am sure anyone would be happy to know you tried to like something Sporkfu. It's the though that counts.

Oh and PS: the answer to my question was

"themikefest"

Sorry again. Lol. I guess it's hard to remember everyone who posts at times.

Doesn't she look creepy?  I guess that's what happens when red lyrium combines with the blight sans eternal youth.

The "target" is the corner of the Haven map.  I was just having a little fun moving the map around.

That drives me wild in the Wilds :P   I kept driving myself nuts trying to reach the loot of a fallen red templar or see where a crevice under some branches went and kept popping back in bounds.  Eventually, it sends you back as if you had fallen off a beam, without health.  Another thing not to push my luck on.

I had fun with resurrecting enemies today.

This spider didn't dissolve, but required taunting a second time.

Spoiler

Playing with the bears is always cool.

Spoiler

That second one is pretty cool, because here's what was lying between the dead branch and the log 30 seconds previously.  I should have left the lurker with the red outline, but I like how he blends in.

Spoiler

Mira cooled off for a while in this gorgeous place

RcMsnhv.png

Old Simeon's Cave is one of the best places to crawl around, and the pose on this terror is like the one from the trailers

Spoiler

Bull had a great time riding the pony, but wow, Master Dennet's reaction to my Qunari Inq was really intense.  Whooooo.  No picture for that one.  Talk about some kind of Medusa effect.

@theMikefest - No idea how you have the willpower to drive yourself like that.  More power to you.   :)

Well have not done much in the DA universe (yet) but I got all my pics and photos off the PS4 and onto the PC so I can hopefully start sharing more of them.  And also updated my profile pic.

Worked on Liam's PT (Winter Palace and all that jazz) then wrote a little fanfic for Liam and Cass.

I'll placehold this and come back with my full breakdown and pics later.

Looking through the thread since all my likes ran out last night, and I can see they'll all be gone again as soon as I get them

After taking on the Greater Mistral and wrapping things up in Emerald Graves, somebody remembered a bit of unfinished business on the Storm Coast. A bit of unfinished business named Vinsomer. Dun Dun Dun. This was a really fun one. I think Vinsomer is one of my favourite dragon fights... err, when I'm properly prepared for the electricity, that is. I could have posted double the screenshots but.. I may have overdid it anyway.

Spoiler

After this, Kubrie took the gang to the Emprise du Lion. Well, took them back to the Emprise, but this time for a proper clearing out of red templars and rifts and a desire demon and giants and darkspawn and a snofleur or two dragons, and not just farming fade-touched goodies.

What do you guys believe is the best choice in the war table mission "The Good Works of Ser Ruth"?

I've checked the wiki but none of them really feels right.

I don't know which option is 'right', but I would never choose Cullen's. I didn't spare her just so she can go on suicidal quest. I either tell her no or just lie to her. But what can I tell? Most of the times I don't even have this War Table mission, since I send her to Deep Roads.

I sort of ended up switching between angsty and fluffy bunny. It helps in the heartbreak dept if you don't get the angsty ones back to back.  In order: Solas, Cullen, Blackwall, Dorian, Bull, Cass, Dorian again. Next up is Solas (probably) again, then I don't know who. Maybe Cullen again (for fluffy bunniness after Solas heartbreak).  :P

Well, I'm slowly finishing pt with Cullen. Then I'm planning Solas... I also have girl prepared for Blackwall. Maybe I'll finish this one before Cas? Or maybe... I'll just try really hard to not get that heart crushing ending.

And I see you're playing DA2. I started new pt and for the first time I'm going for agressive/direct Hawke. We'll see what happens ouo

-snip-

Your commentary made my day xD But Vinsomer is really great fight. She and the last one from Emprise are probably the ones that requires proper preparation. At least in my case. Rest? Go, eventually die, if not - win. If dead, try again xD

But on topic:

I had really long and tiring fight... with DA Keep. That damn side didn't want to recognise my new Warden and Hawke. After three days I finally managed to get them there. Ugh... Sometimes everything updates just like that, without troubles, but there are days... >.>

Connie wandered to Forbidden Oasis. For now she managed to fall into old well. At least she got nice sword for those bruises. Now she's heading toward second camp. I do hope that lady miner will be somewhere nearby. When I think about looking for her around Oasis... *shivers*

Also, as I said before I started new DA2 pt. Mage Hawke. Agressive/direct personality. I'm planning for her to be really pro-templar... and because of all those pics I've seen here, she'll romance Fenris o 3o I'm still thinking - should I let Carver die in Deep Roads or should I leave him home and let him become a templar....

Thanks :) Glad you enjoyed... and I agree, Vinsomer is one you have to prepare for for sure. Her electric attacks can be tough, and she hops around a lot. Tough for melee inquisitors, even stealthy ones.

Interestign DA2 PT, with a pro-templar mageHawke. I'd let Carver live and become a templar. I was actually attempting that in my last DA2 PT, but inquisition intertrupted that -- permanently it seems -- while I was still in act 2. My Hawke wasn't aggressive, but I had planned on being templar-friendly and. more importantly, Carver-friendly (for a change). Would like to know how that works out for you.

Yeah, her hopping around is especially troublesome if she hops straight at your mage... only mage *flashbacks*

I already have one friendly Carver templar pt, but that time Hawke was pro-mage. Pro-templar mage Hawke seems really interesting, that's why I picked this. There's also that I prefer Carver over Bethany. I can't wait to start pissing Anders off xD

Up until now all my Hawkes were sarcastic, so for once I want to try something different. It seems Carver enjoys having direct sister.

Apart from my last game, that i didn't get to finish, I'd only ever chosen Carver over Bethany once, and that time he didn't survive the Deep Roads. I couldn't stand him, and I figured the quicker I was rid of him the better I would feel. This last time though, I was ready to give him another shot, and to really try hard to see things from his perspective. Alas...the Inquisition arrived sooner than expected

At the beginning I also choose Bethany over Carver, because I liked her more (and because my first Hawke was a warrior, so I got to know her better). But when I gave Carver a chance... Doing Legacy and MoA with him after he became templar/warden... He grew on me and that's something that rarely happens with characters.

As I returned to Skyhold with Connie, it turned out she had one more judgment to sit in. Crestwood mayor. She was enjoying herself as she sent him to Grey Wardens.

Guess which throne I like the most o 3o

Haha! I finally got that Highland ravager! That's all three Emprise du Lion dragons dead! Now I just need the ones from Emerald Graves, Exalted Plains and Hissing Wastes.

How can you celebrate the deaths of these majestic beautiful rare creatures? :crying:

Speaking of cool conversations I still wish I could of figured out the outcome of that chess match between Solas and Iron Bull. Iron Bull was starting to make a comeback by taking a-lot of Solas's pieces with his queen but Solas realized Iron Bull is using his queen as his main pice which was getting Iron Bull a bit nervous but Iron Bull retorted by saying "we shall see" because at times as he proved and dictated to Solas "looks can be decieveing".

There's this amazing (but spoilerish, obviously) video of their actual chessgame - their banter accompanied by the pieces moving on the chessboard. I love it! As a chess player myself, I'm very happy to see they are having a real game, not just an exchange of random moves. Their match turns out to be quite illustrious, too ;)
Though Solas sacrificing his queen in the end... god damn it Bioware!

Then Clara told Bruce, that Fairbanks may be of noble birth, so went to investigate that. He did found stuff supporting her claims, but he gave the evidence to Fairbanks, because he doesn't want Fairbanks to have to deal with all that Orlaisan mask stuff.

Sweet little Lavellan's sentiment exactly. She would not wish that fate on anyone, lol.

Marcus, being a Templar, will start with Aqua Magus (Fine spirits infused with a bit of refined lyrium. Potentially fatal if ingested in quantity) but will soon switch over to the Antivan Sip-Sip (Careful, this one's mean. Attic-raised mean. Popular among highborn who wish to seem dangerous, but more at home grasped by the neck by those who actually are).

I feel a bit awkward asking this but, um, would you mind explaining to me the meaning of that last part? English is not my first language, and though I am pretty fluent in it, sometimes I'm still baffled  Also, I can't help but think I'm missing some kind of a dirty joke there :D And we can't have that :D

Yikes, I can never send anyone to the Deep Roads. I hate that place, it became a real life nightmare stuff for me. Like, death is better than that sentence :pinched:

The legacy Kirkwall and Fereldan Thrones have nothing to do with DAII being linked to Origin, they got added with Patch 1.07 :)

I agree, I want a Dalish throne and Dalish decor and a Dalish bed! (I have to use the legacy Fereldan Throne and Avvar decor + Avvar bed as substitute. <_<)

Bruce continued his adventure in Chateau D'Onterre. He didn't expect so many walking corpses there, but they weren't really a problem for him and his team. (tho Sera kept freaking out, dunno why  )

Spoiler

He's now thinking about clearing the Emerald Graves, tho he still has to defeat Stormy, maybe he'll do that first.

OT: My phone is broken  :crying: I need to do something that will distract me from that. Maybe a dragon fight wouldn't be bad....

Well...

"It will also include two new thrones to decorate Skyhold with, if you are a longtime Dragon Age player. Those who played Dragon Age: Origins with their EA Origin account linked will be granted the Legacy Ferelden throne. Same applies for Dragon Age II, which will grant players Legacy Kirkwall throne."

Chateau D'Onterre... I can't wait to get there

I wanted to craft new gear, but well... I had to be one Dragon Webbing short! So off to kill dragon! Since Sandy Howler was the only one I had access at the moment... Strangely enough on my way I met that Chantry Sister. She always appears when you're not looking for her >.> I used old good 'save&reload' method to get the bow. It has Master Frost Rune, so it was perfect for my upcoming dragon fight.

Spoiler

Suprisingly, I had right staff for this fight. Also, she bugged at the end and became invisible. I wasn't sure if she was dying or not. Fortunately I got my loot o 3o Off to make new gear!

And I see you're playing DA2. I started new pt and for the first time I'm going for agressive/direct Hawke. We'll see what happens ouo

Malia is vying for the title of sarcasto queen. I'm hoping to get Carver to full friendship but early on I got some rivalry points so I don't know if it will work out that way. I definitely will bring him (and Anders) on the Deep Roads mission so he becomes a Warden. I played aggressive pro-Templar Hawke once and I hated her; hopefully you have better luck. :)

Well, if it is a dirty joke, I'm not getting it either. :P I take "but more at home grasped by the neck by those who actually are" to be a reference to grasping the bottle by the neck. If it means something else, hopefully someone can chime in and let us know.

As for Josie.....some of my quizzys have flirted with her (and she was oblivious) but that's been it. The others are just more appealing. And if I play a guy, well, Dorian wins that easily.

I guess I really just need to seal that breach at Haven.

I always watch her carefully when she takes off. If I see she shoots fireball - tac cam, team relocated - then continue. Maybe I'm used to her before Skyhold, because I oftenly take her down while still in Haven. It's something I did in first pt and it sticks with me xD

I hope you'll share some pics with us later ouo

Malia is vying for the title of sarcasto queen. I'm hoping to get Carver to full friendship but early on I got some rivalry points so I don't know if it will work out that way. I definitely will bring him (and Anders) on the Deep Roads mission so he becomes a Warden. I played aggressive pro-Templar Hawke once and I hated her; hopefully you have better luck. :)

Haha, teah. Sarcastic Hawke rules. Even with pro-mage Hawke you can get to something around 60 friendship points at the end of act 1 (if you take him to Deep Roads). With pro-templar or mix, you can get even more. Add Legacy and MoA  and you can max it out. I'm good source. I made a lot of counting, because I'm always trying to be on friendship path with Carver o 3o

 I prefer him as a templar

Lets see.  On the continuing the 'wrapping of Dragon Age Inquisition' today I cleared out all the quests of interests in the Exalted Plains, the Emerald Graves, and the Fallow Mire.  So which just basically leaves the Hissing Wastes, Emprise, and Shardsville left.  Did Cole's quest (still powerful scene, made him human) only two companion quests left, oddly enough both Leliana's...and then the only thing of any real note I have is I still have the four dragons.

Of course 'wrapping up' Inquisition could still take me about two weeks with all that in mind.  I mean there is still a lot to do, but it is also winding down by a serious degree.

Other then that nothing of note really.  I was kind of half catatonic playing the game and kind of forcing myself to play a bit...though actually in the EP I did actually play as Cassandra for a significant period of time.  All the bad guys were down in a pit and I kind of wanted to make sure my Warrior was leading the way for once.  Figure it might be good practice if I ever do start up my sword and board.  Then after I killed a few baddies with her switched back over to Kara.  Ironically enough similar as to what I did last playthrough.
