I was going through my DAI pics and decided to post a few more here. Now that Julian's adventures are finished, the only new Inquisitor I have is Demetria Trevelyan.

 

I introduced her a while back that she's a forthcoming Rift Mage. She was about to go to Therinfall Redoubt, but she's thinking of going to Redcliffe to confront Alexius and help her fellow Mages even though she was royally p***ed they did something really stupid. Cassandra and everyone else are a little concerned, but the lady has to cool her jets before making a final choice and sticking with it!

 

Not sure when I'll continue her story, but she's shaping to be a bit of a firecracker. For example, she loudly tells Varric in front of a few villagers and chantry peeps that everything is B.S! Then she zaps Xenon with lightning for giving poor opinions of her hairstyle choices while visiting the Black Emporium.

Yeah, what's more they were not added with patch 1.07, but with Black Emporium. I think it's huge difference. What if someone doesn't download BE, but has patch 1.07?

Haha, teah. Sarcastic Hawke rules. Even with pro-mage Hawke you can get to something around 60 friendship points at the end of act 1 (if you take him to Deep Roads). With pro-templar or mix, you can get even more. Add Legacy and MoA  and you can max it out. I'm good source. I made a lot of counting, because I'm always trying to be on friendship path with Carver o 3o

I prefer him as a templar   

 

 

That was me in my first PT~! I had Patch 1.07 installed and both Legacy thrones. (Haya preffered the Fereldan throne over the Qunari bench) BE came out when I was nearly done with my first PT.

My next Hawke is supposed to be a mage, but I'm not sure if I want Carver to be a Templar. My brain says /YES/, but my gut says /I don't want to support the Templars.../ =/

This is so true. No matter what class I play, she seems the toughest. I'm gearing up to tackle the Highland Ravager now. Wish me luck. It's the first time I tried it before In Your Heart Shall Burn....

Is it even possible to open up Emprise du Lion that early? If so then wow good luck! I don't like trying to fight any dragons that early, heh.

You don't need to be pro-templar for Carver to be a templar himself. As I wrote before, you can even be pro-mage and be on a friendship patch with templar Carver ouo

Well thank you, glad you enjoy. It's fun sort through them for sure and find those hidden gems. Maybe I'll do a "Director's Cut" post sometime

Yeah, she got me.  Next time I try her so early, I'll get tempered glass flasks first.  At least that way I'd be able to load everyone up on both regen and fire resistance, since I really only use barriers as last resort.  I did manage to get her down to about 1/3 health before going down.  

 

We just finished rescuing everyone at Haven, now it's off to Denham....

 

That Mistral in the Graves is a trip.  For some reason, I thought she was an electrical dragon, yes, even while dodging chunks of ice.  What can I say?  It worked, until I figured out which staff to use...time before last

I always watch her carefully when she takes off. If I see she shoots fireball - tac cam, team relocated - then continue.

I disengage as soon as she takes off (so that the team is all gathered together), then Barrier when I see a fireball. Works nice, especially with the fire resistance potions.

My favourite is when he starts laughing like a mad man. I always thinks it's a good sign xD

 

I never romanced Merill and I don't think I'll ever do. She always feels like younger sister to my characters, especially the ones that lost Bethany.

Now On Topic: I had a little fight with the graphic settings and.... well, the result can be found in the bad screenshot thread. x"D

 

Bruce went to the Emerald Graves to fight commander Duhaime and afterwards to Villa Maurel.

Being in a Villa, Sera just couldn't help herself.

Sera: Woohoo!

 

Sadly they couldn't keep playing around, because they still had to fight general Maliphant. His men died fast, but he was more trouble, killing Sera, Varric and Vivienne with his stealth attacks. So Bruce had to fight him alone, but eventually he won.  Don't try to fight an angry, overprotective mage. You'll just end up frozen and roasted.

After Maliphant was defeated and Sera, Varric and Vivienne back up on their feet, they went on to further explore Villa Maurel. Just when they were about to enter the last room, the last of Maliphant's men appeared, but he didn't last long against two mages and two archers.

 

I wish there were more waves of reinforcements in that battle. It's one of the best set pieces, tactically. But often what happens to me is I take control of one of the party and every single enemy aggros on that character, including the boss. One giant mob on one and three other characters with nothing to do.

 

It would be so much more fun if you could chase the enemies through the villa, fighting room to room guerrilla style. I guess I'm too spoiled by ME-style combat.

The first of three dragon fights in Emprise du Lion has Kubrie and the gang facing off against Hivernal. In my last game I tried to run the gauntlet and take on all three without going back to camp to restock on healing potions, or swap out my fire mage for my ice mage. Actually, i'm starting to wonder if I shouldn't have the different Inquisition mages each focus on one element... Hmmm. Uhh, anyway, this time we did break from the final fight and took care of everything else -- rifts, shards, restocking -- before facing the Highland Ravager and I gotta say it went much more smoothly. But I'm getting ahead of myself. I present... Hivernal.

Ah yes, nothing like a dragon-butt close-up Actually wanted to show off Kubrie's new daggers, and... well...

...and got stomped. Sidenote: Stupid red outline, but no other shot showed Bull getting stomped *shrug*

 

Then Hivernal hopped away. Not as gracefully as Vinsomer, though.

Hivernal still isn't happy about the burning. This time she lets Sera have it.

And the Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

In my last game when I fought Hivernal with my 2H Templar, Dofni, the fight wasn't anywhere near as much fun as it was this time around. I guess it's because typically by the time I get to fighting dragons in the Emprise, the group is kinda OP'ed. But this time, Hivernal kept things interesting for awhile, and even got a few good hits in. Next up... her big sister, Kaltenzahn. Sidenote: *spoiler* She scouted us but it didn't help her

The shield Cassandra has... It's the one from BE, right? When I saw it I had so many DA2 feels... I need to try it out on Dalish warrior. 

 

Forbidden Oasis cleared. Now I just need shards form Emprise and Wastes. I was thinking of going Emerald Graves... but since I've already cleared out part of it, I went Hissing Wastes. First - small team change. Varric for The Tomb of Fairel quest. I just love his commentary.

Malia is just about ready for the Deep Roads. One more visit to the qunari encampment and that should be it. She's done every little side quest and favor anyone asked of her. She's made friends of shy Templars and enemies of not-so-shy Chantry sisters. Sadly, she had to do most of her recent jobs sans her broody elf...er, acquaintance ....since she's been trying to increase Carver friendship points. She also learned how to open locked chests so Varric has been rather scarce as well (yay for DA2 lock bash mod ). Unfortunately, she still can't disable (or sometimes even see) traps.

She's not 100% certain that Anders is sane but he is still technically a Grey Warden so she's bringing him on the expedition. With her luck, there's no way they won't run in to darkspawn. Carver's coming too, despite Mother's request otherwise. They'll either strike it rich or wind up dead. Either way, their problems will be solved.

I'm taking a break from my speedrun to let the controller charge up. The playthrough is going better than I thought. I should be finsihed in about an hour.

I like the Abyssal High Dragon too, mostly for all the stuff you have to do before you can even fight her, and Frederic, and Bull and Sera both get so excited too, when she starts circling the battlefield.
