I am at the ball, and playing it smooth! I just listened to Yvette embarrass Josephine. I totally believe Josie still plays with her dolls. She'd get on fabulously with King Alistair. He is fond of his 'action figures' as I recall. I once suggested to an artist to draw them playing with dolls together, but alas, it never materialized.

This time, I'm aiming for Cassandra as Divine, so Celene is going to die! Muahaha! *ahem* I also plan to get all the blackmail for Leliana. I never did that before. It's ok though. I have a couple of hours to kill. :D

Edit: A graphical glitch gave both my Inquisitor and Leliana brown eyes. *rage*

I'm impressed Mike, that's pretty cool. i guess in 13 previous PTs you've heard all the dialogue and seen all the scenes, so running through everything is no big deal anyway. I've found myself, even in my fourth game, skipping through some of the dialogue and running past/around some of the random spawning bad guys because I just don't want to take the time to detour and kill them, heh.

I don't believe I've heard all the dialogue that can occur in the game. I've never taken Blackwall and Sera together on any quest or Blackwall and Vivienne. Hmm. Maybe I should do a playthrough using those 3 for the whole game. I'm sure there is some interesting dialogue to be heard

Good luck :) I managed to get 26 or 27 pieces of blackmail in my current game. That's the most I've ever gotten, by far.

Well, I was referring mainly to story dialogues and cutscenes, that sorta thing. But yeah, you should :D Blackwall and Viv have some amazing banter.

Ooh, the challenge of blackmailing everyone! :D

The best banter between Blackwall and Vivienne is if the former is romanced. He gets to burn her hard. I don't like Blackwall personally, but that line he delivers is made of awesome. For all his flaws, he does truly love the Inquisitor.

One of these days I need to keep Vivienne in my party the entire game. So far, she's the only one I've not used more than a few times, and also the only one I've once chosen to not recruit. I was thinking of doing a magequisition with my current elf Tanith. But then I wouldn't get any of Viv's banter with Blackwall. <_< Argh, and I need a rogue for those stupid locked doors. :pinched:  Is there a lock bash mod for DAI yet????

I'm afraid the only thing we can bash are walls. You'd think a door would be less sturdy.

Oh well, it forces party diversity. My go to party is Cassandra, Cole and Dorian. They have wonderful chemistry.

I've heard that line in my Nightmare pt. It was worth wandering around and risking sudden ambush o 3o

Well... You need rogue for locks, warrior for door bashing and mage for repairing bridges... I think this mod would need to be way bigger than simple lock bash mod like the one for DA2.

But to answer your question - I haven't seen one like that.

While talking about mages repairing brigdes... I wonder what I was thinking while doing this screenshot.

In my previous games, the most I've gotten is around a dozen or so. I was always more concerned about losing approval, rushing around to get just what I needed. This last time, though, I wanted to try and get everything. have to try again next time.

Yeah, I'm planning ona magequisition game for my next run, and I've been trying to keep track of which locks and walls are necessary to pick and bash, and which aren't. I lost track though. Mostly, I figure if I'm not too concerned about mosaic tiles and other loot, there's really only a few spots.

Not sure the quality would be great, but I can try taking a picture of the (truly terrible) map the official guide has for the Halamshiral secrets. It has all the coin and halla locations marked, too, though you can't actually get all of both sets in one run <_< I always just end up getting all the halla and the secrets and leaving Varric to fend for himself

Only about half of the secrets are actual search things to pick up. The other half you have to eavesdrop. Once you have the secret from an eavesdropping location, it'll disappear so you know you don't have to go back to that one. If you don't get a secret from it, it'll vanish and you'll have to walk into another section of the Palace and return to try again. I've found that this is usually best done towards the end, when all of the secrets are in play.

The end of Kubrie's adventures in Emprise du Lion saw her merry band take on one last dragon, the Highland Ravager.

Spoiler

That was an epic fight. Really enjoyable, with lots going on for most of it. The Highland Ravager really has all the tricks in her repertoire... well, except for the flying. She can put up guard, summon dragonlings, screech to stun, she hops around a lot which makes it fun for melee characters *ahem*, and oh yeah, the burning. Holy crap, I'm glad I remembered to leave Kubrie's Superb Belt of Fire Resistance equipped. She's always been one of the tougher dragon fights, and in my current game, she is the only one -- so far, still have Sandy Howler to tangle with yet -- to take one of the group out of the fight too. Although that wouldn't have happened if I'd paid more attention to what the dragonlings were doing. Poor Sera.

Speaking of the Sandy Howler, it'll be awhile before I post pics of that fight, as Kubrie hasn't even reached the Hissing Waste yet. I've done everything else that I can before hitting the Arbor Wilds,  except for Here Lies The Abyss (which I am currently doing) and the Hissing Waste. So... once Kubrie finds a way out of the Fade, and I choose between Alistair and Hawke  , I'll be off to loot Fairel's Tomb. There was something about some venatori out there in the desert, too *cough*

Yes please. I thought I was as thorough as I could be, but towards the end, when you have to get to the second floor and chase down that clown assassin, things always get a bit disorganized on me. I think I managed six halla statues, which is also a new record for me, heh. Had to laugh because Kubrie could pretty much just reach up and grab that one off the beam in the kitchen, where poor Dofni lost more court approval than I liked, jumping around trying to find her way up there.

Actually, in my three previous PTs I hardly took Varric anywhere, except where necessary. In my first game, I romanced Sera, so had my ranged attack rogue already. In my second game, I was playing an archer, so didn't need another ranged attack rogue, and in my last game, I wanted to bring Cole everywhere because I hadn't done that either. This time i figured it was Varric's turn, and started out taking him everywhere, and then he kept getting in my way in the Exalted plains, and it was annoying, so I've let him sit out the last few journeys heh. But yes, this time I will be taking him to the Hissing Wastes.

Blackwall and Sera's banter is hysterical.  They really play off each other's earthy humor.
