That's one thing I haven't been able to do yet is have a bad relationship with any of the companions. Worst I've gotten is indifference.... well, maybe some dislike from Solas, but it's not as if that's difficult to attain, heh.
Lol, seriously? To me, he's the easiest to get approval with I always end up in friendship with him without even trying. On the other hand, Cassandra is killing me this PT
My first PT, I was on a pretty bad terms with Sera. Second PT, and this time around, I'm deliberately trying to p*ss off Vivienne It's hard

Well, he likes to talk about himself true enough, so it's easy to get lots of little "Solas slightly approves" ... but I find that he usually ends up disapproving of other decisions I make; sitting in judgment or with the templars/mages/wardens, or various companions.

My Lav and Sera didn't get along (Cenise is pretty elfy though as far as Sera is concerned).
Dhreya Trev and Solas don't get along. She's hardly gotten any major approval from him. He told her he didn't like her when they first got to Skyhold and they've left it at that.
Most everyone else though have gotten along with my quizzies.

My Lavellan had to pretty much forget everything she ever believed in, and the way she thought things should be, in order to pursue a relationship with Sera. In the end, i don't think she's complaining. Solas wasn't too happy about it, though. My next two inquisitors didn't have much to do with Solas, but were on fairtly friendly, or at least non-hostile terms. Kubrie is actually quite friendly with him, or was until she enlisted the grey wardens, and encouraged Cole to be more human, heh.

Yesterday I played the final fight at the trebuchet in Your Heart Shall Burn, and I decided to play it the way I always assumed it was supposed to be - i.e. turning the wheel during the fight and let the enemies keep coming; rather than comfortably killing every little reinforcement group & the boss until there's noone left, and spend a whole minute in absolute silence, just turning the thing with zero tension.
My party obviously got overwhelmed, so I decided to retreat back to Haven town. Blackwall, Sera & Cole all ran, but Kelevra bugged out and ignored the order (badassery by the book sounds better though). Blackwall had aggroed everybody naturally, so the whole train chased after them, leaving only Kel - and Fiona. Apparently her AI will never leave the Trebuchet area.
It was just an awesome moment, how my party by kiting the enemies around town literally escaped to church, and Kel stayed behind and dueled to the death with Fiona. It was an awesome "find your nemesis on the battlefield" moment, and the huge empty arena surrounded by wooden walls & destruction was an amazing setting.
Naturally, I eventually defeated her, and it made her death so much less suckerish. And my victory so much more dramatic. It should have been supposed to be that way all along IMO.
That is all - a very cool experience indeed.

Lady Florianne's fate. I still find it surprising that she gives up without a fight after being disgraced in public. She's good with a bow and she's a rogue, but yet, she doesn't do anything but sobs and gets carried away helplessly. Weird.

I don't think it's the case. In my nightmare pt, when I really had to be careful, I ran all the way to the chantry and Fiona was the first one to follow me.
I'm slowly finishing Hissing Wastes with Connie. This zone feels much smaller that the first time I went there. Still, it's sand... and sand... and there! More sand! Eh, I don't know why I love this place.

Vivienne didn't like my very first Inquisitor, Kiera, mainly because she supported the free mages and they never talked much either.
Personally, I like Dorian and my previous Inquisitors were friends with him and everyone else. For this play through, I was surprised to see him openly upset. It's a little refreshing to play an Inquisitor, who may look and act nice, but she's actually a mean girl.

Maybe I should tell you guys about Tressa Lavellan, as I finished her playthrough way before I started posting here but I keep mentioning her.
WARNING: LOTS OF PICS INCOMING.
She's the first DA character whose backstory I put a lot of thought into before the game even came out. Reading the setup for an Elven Inquisitor, I decided that she was someone who'd grown up forever interested in the world around her. This made her a great learner and an able Keeper's First, but also left her with an urge to learn more about the other cultures of Thedas, and to wonder if the Dalish really had the right idea about their history and religion. She jumped at the chance to be the one to spy on the conclave, as she really wanted to learn more about human religion and politics at first hand, and to be exposed to other viewpoints.
What I really hoped was for me to be able to RP her learning more about the world, and gradually losing her faith as she was exposed to all these other people and belief systems, ending up not believing fully in any of them. I wan't sure if I'd be able to do it, but as it turned out they wrote a game with characters which fit my ideas almost perfectly.
Here's Tressa on waking up after the explosion. The idea of her eyes going from blue to green was that they'd been blue before and changed as part of the event that put the glowing green thing in her hand. I suppose now that we know the lore behind the anchor it doesn't quite fit but I like her anyway.
Spoiler
She met so many diverse people with different ideas that the story I had in mind seemed to fit very well. she started saying that she wasn't sure about her religion, and as the game went on she became atheist, so she got to shout at Corypheus that she didn't believe in gods. That was quite satisfying.
Sera of course was absolutely fascinating to her. While other Dalish would obviously have taken an instant dislike to this foul-mouthed decrier of all things "elfy", Tressa immediately wanted to understand more about this elf who was so different from any she'd known before. It didn't do any harm that her skills with a bow were so formidable or that she was so cute...
Spoiler
As she got to know Sera, she understood that despite her occasional fiery temper and defensiveness, and the contempt in which she held Dalish culture, she really did care for the oppressed peoples of Thedas and had a kind heart. Added to that, her penchant for silliness could be so refreshing among the serious business that the inquisition necessarily had to undertake. She found herself falling for Red Jenny...
Spoiler
Sera's Cabinet of Wonder Whose It Was is a joy... Along with the nicknames she can give to an inquisitor, it really helped the romance to feel real and personal, at least for me.
Spoiler
While all this was going on Tressa conscripted the mages (Because she didn't trust Fiona's leadership, not because she wanted a return to the circles), barely survived Corypheus's attack on Haven, left Stroud in the fade and set up a triple-alliance of Celene, Gaspard and Briala under her control in Orlais.
Spoiler
Sisters? Whatever do you mean? I don't have a thing for short dark red hair at all... *cough*
By the time she got to the temple of Mythal, her faith was all but gone, and what she learned there made her certain - the Dalish gods seemed to be powerful magical creatures, yes, but to her mind a powerful magical creature was precisely what she was currently trying to rid the world of. She had no wish to worship them or take on their memories, so she let Morrigan drink from the well.
Spoiler
Of course this meant that the post-Mythal scene with Sera wasn't so problematic as it was for other lavellans. Although she didn't agree with Sera's assessment of the Elven religion as "Demon worship" she didn't think that it was as far from the mark as all that, so she let it slide. After all, who could break up with this face?
Spoiler
Tressa was very interested to learn about Ameridan, and to find that another Dalish elf had been Inquisitor before her. Still more to learn of his fusion of Andrastianism with her prior faith.
Spoiler
(I actually ran through the ending for a second time after completing Jaws of Hakkon, so I could get screenshots without horrid orange dragon webbing armour...)
So as I said, Tressa shouted at Coryphy-t!ts that she didn't believe in gods, and proceeded to kick him in every ball he had, before retiring to Skyhold for a party and to spend time with her lover...
Spoiler
(Can't get enough of this screenshot.)
I couldn't believe how perfectly the playthrough worked. I just loved it. The only sour note for me was getting Vivienne as divine.
Best leave the final word to Sera...

Well, this is to be expected with a "sweet, little Lavellan", yes? Try it with a male Dwarf that thinks the Fade is a fairytale made up by crazy surface dwelling humans and see how far you get.

Just keep saying the mages are awesome and deserve to be free and she'll hate you before you even get to WEWH.
The Cabinet of Wonders is awesome, both when Sera is in and out of a romance with IQ. I haven't tried it with Sera in high disapproval with the IQ, wonder if anything changes?

It certainly changes based on what you say about religion as well as what happens in the romance and the Inquisitor's race, so I son't see why it wouldn't change based on approval, too. I haven't seen what it looks like if she doesn't like you, though...
So, Bruce went to Din'an Hanin, only to find Taven, his men and the Inquisition soldiers murdered.* So naturally he had to investigate and found some Venatori and Red Templars inside. Bruce, Cole, Solas and Bull made short work of them and then proceeded into the ruins to get to the treasure. Turns out it was a scroll about what had really happened at Red Crossing. He brought it to Keeper Hawen, because in his opinion it was important for the Dalish to know that they themselves were responsible for the tragedy that had happened.

This looks like an after fight briefing xD
Favorite screenshot from yesterday. I got so lucky.
* Something weird happened at the entrance where you find the bodies of Taven and his friends. Bull was talking about how they looked like they got ambushed and then I heard a voice that, from the sound, didn't belong to anyone, but it came from Bruce. I think that was the older male voice. At first I thought it was Blackwall, but Blackwall wasn't there and the speech bubble came from Bruce.
Another weird thing happened with Cole. I know he always says weird things, but this one was really weird.

I was wondering about that too! The general consensus seems to be it's Mythal/spirit of Mythal/avatar of Mythal/part of Mythal. Also, I've read she is classified as flemeth_nude_water or something like that in the game files. Should've been an elf, too, but they got the body mesh wrong (I think some dev admitted it on twitter?)
