Finally managed to play today so I started my Derek the dwarf playthrough on nightmare.
Started by unlocking the Forbidden Oasis area and opening a few shard doors. Then I decided to read some codex entries and realised that I imported the wrong Keep world-state
. I was hoping to import a warden Lohgain and a Dark Ritual world because I haven't experienced this yet...
So I deleted this dwarf Derek playthrough (I hadn't progressed the story too far but it was still around 8 hours)
.
Created a new character named Rick, which is basically a carbon copy of Derek and made sure the import worked beforehand. Currently at the first autosave after the character creator.
I bought 'Spoils Of The Avvar' today and loaded up another inquisitor to have a look. I think Varric's look in the Avvar coat is the best (so I probably won't use anything else for him now) and I also noticed that the body paint armour makes the Bull look slimmer (or is it just me
).
I'll probably post again when I get to the point where I was last time so I'll just ninja-like from the side-lines until then

I really wish there was a way to fix a world state in a game after you've already started, but it might cause the Keep to explode so maybe it's better that we can't?
As soon as I read this, my mind went to Anders and the Kirkwall Chantry.
Does this mean that I've played too much dragon age? ![]()

So, Bruce finally continued his Emprise du Lion adventure.
First he had to get something important from a hidden cave.
Next he finished the remaining Templars, freed the villagers, found a letter about Madame Poulin, destroyed the last Red Lyrium deposit and fought some wolves.

Now he could finally go towards Suledin Keep. But first he changed Varric for Dorian, just in case.
After all enemies were defeated, the team went onward to "Choice! Spirit!" Imshael. ![]()
With Imshael dead, it was finally time to claim the keep.
Next stop: Skyhold, talking to Cullen about Samson, judging Madame Poulin and then finally What Pride Had Wrought! ![]()

Much dwarfy goodness! I just wish they had written more special dialogue for a dwarf IQ.
I was satisfied that Aeducan acknowledged that my Inquisitor was a dwarf in his letter. It's nice that Bioware actually changes elements from the note according Keep decisions.

Oh bummer. This probably isn't a good time to mention this, but in the game i just completed, when the group went through the Hissing Waste, i found three slaves pretty quickly, and as you mentioned before this "quest" isn't updated until you find all three, so you don't really even know you're accomplishing anything until it's accomplished... uhh anyway I kinda found a fourth slave after getting the "war table operation available" update. ...er, yeah *runs away shouting 'good luck!' over his shoulder* ... just kindding, I'm really surprised there isn't one cage with a slave nearby that respawns whether the quest is done or not. CVan't be that tough. They figured it out with bears.I'm back from scouring the Wastes over and over again.
Found red templars and red templar camps, a hunter and 2 empty cages. No slaves shakes fist at BioWare

Okay, first: you can never play enough Dragon Age.
Second; I agree, Mel. I was kinda shocked, but overall not disappointed, to realize I'd set up my warden to make the Ultimate Sacrifice this time and that I'd set up a a diplomatic rogue maleHawke-Fenris romance in the keep this time. I wouldn't have changed the second part, but I missed getting that letter of encouragement from the warden.

More great screenies! Thank you for sharing. I never saw that painting in the alst pic, that's a new one on me. And congrats on finding all the songs and seeds. I always seem to be missing two of each by the endgameEmerald Graves. Cleared out from the beginning till the end. In a meantime I collected all "Invasion" mosaic pieces, finished Patron of the Arts, Nursery Seeds and Banners. I'm more and more certain that once again I got my Thrones bugged >.> But what happened during my trip?
During all this walking in this beautiful place I had one question in mind...
What the hell is that thing?Spoiler
Yeah in my archer tempest game, I used thousand cuts alot, but never in combo with another character's powers. In fact I wanted to make sure I always had lots of focus so I never let anyone else use their foocus powers. Ever.Yes. That combo is great for taking out mid-level enemies really quickly. Combined with Thousand Cuts it goes from being a Varghest slayer to a dragonslayer.

But... Each character has their own focus meter. Using one doesn't stop you from using the others!

Wha...??? You-you're joking. How did I not notice this? In my defense, I rarely ever take control of anyone but the Inquisitor during combat. Sometimes the game switches my control of its own volition (seemingly) but I, uh, just never paid attention... I guess? ![]()

I wonder what's that mysterious being elves are fighting.

There's actually a similar painting to this one in Crestwood. I believe it's in the little clearing where you fight the wyvern for the Naturalist, Judith. It kinda looks like that being has the Templar emblem on its chest so maybe it's the exalted March or something?Haha, thank you

Yes, I remember something like that in Crestwood. Although lighting for screenshot is quite terrible there.
That's actually not a bad idea. It really resembles Templar emblem, but I'm not sure why would Templars took part in Exalted March. I would say it's from times before that.
Haha, yeah.

I like to take direct control of my companions and I do use Tac Cam from time to time, but I don't (or didn't should be proper form now) invest skill points in Focus Skills, so I had no idea they had separate bars o.O

Uhhh, of course I meant to say the ... Err, that is, didn't the Exalted March in the Dales involve templars and elves? And please let me preface this by saying I don't really know the lore that well.Yes, I remember something like that in Crestwood. Although lighting for screenshot is quite terrible there.

Remember those two kids learning from Aldous in the Highever castle library, in the human noble Origin story of DA:O? I'm like those kids when it comes to codex entries.
