I really enjoyed using it once I got used to how it works. You have to prime it then trigger it. One you prime it, you have 8 seconds to do as much damage as you want, then it triggers. Once it does, a portion of the damage you did to the target during those 8 seconds is re-applied as additional damage -- I dunno what the percentage is, though. I just know it seems like a lot.
Also, you can manually trigger MoD early for bonus damage. The upgrade -- Mark of Doom -- gives a 20% Armor reduction bonus, which means you do even more damage during those 8 seconds. It's a good skill.

Alright, you're playing Awakening. Cool.
Thousand cuts are hidden blades on crack.
I love using upgraded spinning blades on my DWs along with skirmisher, twin fangs and death blow.
Swap out Spinning Blades for mark of Death and that's how I played my assassin too.
Mere words cannot express how annoyed I am, once again, today, to be thwarted at every turn. The garage overbooked and didn't have time to fix my muffler, even though I made the appointment last week! They printed out a note to give to the cops in case I get pulled over. Again. At this point, the thing I'm afraid of is running out of routes to take that I haven't been pulled over yet on. No matter how many estimates I have, if the same cop pulls me over twice, I'm out of luck. Argh.
And now, after taking Suledin keep, I find that once again, the internet's too unreliable to even upload a single picture. Again.
Oh no, that sounds terrible. Hope you can get to the garage soon.
DAO's dialogue system still is too confusing to me. I can't tell which options carry the conversation forward to the next main part and which allow me to linger and ask more questions.
Sometimes I ask a character something expecting to be able to explore the other options afterwards, but then it immediately leads to the end of the cutscene.
The lack of dialogue wheel. Yeah. I'm gonna start a game of DA:O soon, and it's been long enough since I played that the dialogues are gonna be a little bit unfamiliar, heh. I'll probably do this myself a few times.
Brin had an interesting day you could say.
First she explored the rest of the Hinterlands and took care of a bandit fortress where she killed the leader and hopefully stopped the looting going on. But she also found a key to a passage of the Deep Roads. It has her interest peeked but she has decided to visit it later for the issues the Chantry in Val Royeaux could no longer be ignored. And since the Chantry was denying her being the Herald of Andraste, Brin decided not to dress for the occasion... and apparently frightened the poor sheltered city folk with her appearance.
But Brin did not care. After all she believes in her heart to be chosen regardless of what others think. However news that the templars had returned to the chantry did cause her to pause for a moment. After all her little band of merry friends would be no match for templars. However it was a fear that was left without any ground for the templars wasted no time in revealing they're true intentions. Like a punch to the back of the head, the templars openly abandoned the chantry, stunning those that watched. The Lord Seeker who lead the templars even denounced Brin as the Herald and told her she was not impressing him. Something she was not trying to do. And were it not for being so outnumbered by his troops, she would have challenged him to the death right there for insulting the clerics and assaulting the Sisters.
After the templars had left, Brin made her assurances to the chantry that she would do what she could to bring peace. And the actions of the templars actually played in her favor as without them, the chantry seemed more accepting of her.
But her trip to Val Royeaux did not come to an end there. Some new friends were made with the introductions of a quirky rogue named Sera, and a powerful mage named Vivienne.
Back in Haven, Brin has decided to continue her goals of bringing peace to the lands as promised. Inquisition soldiers have been kidnapped in the marshlands by an Avvar group. So Brin is going to rescue them but since they are not from the same tribe she calls family, the task might not be so simple. And then there are raids going on along the coastland. Also there are the strange findings of stones that might unlock some temple in the oasis. So exploration and getting to know her new friends while solving problems is next on her list. But Brin plans to show those upstart templars just who she really is. And how powerful she is but some preperations need to be made first.
I like that Avvar armor... mud... warpaint... on a human Inquisitor way more than on a dwarf, elf or qun'ari. It loos properly proportioned, heh. Brin looks great, and it's got me considering using that Avvar armor for my magequisition group. I wonder how Vivienne will feel about that
