I like to put FT-Plush Fustian Velvet FT-Silverite in my armor, for the generate guard on hit bonus. It's fun to play a knight-enchanter and wade into combat with a lightsaber Spirit Blade and have full guard plus barriers. Look out bad guys, death's a-comin' B)

EDIT: Sorry, got my FT's mixed up.

Talking of Fade Touched Silverite, I like the other one that gives Chain Lightning. People never seem to talk about Chain Lightning but it's great for crowd control, especially if you just cast Pull of the Abyss.

Yep I agree. In the MP session I did the other day, you might notice from the screenies I posted that Neria the Keeper/saviour/batman was using chain lightning a lot. It's brutal for sure. In my last game I ended up putting hidden blades on both my daggers -- overkill i know :P -- but I seriously considered chain lightning on one. When it comes time to take that inquisitor through JoH I may have to craft her a new dagger.

Everyone knows that you can put hidden-blades-giving (and other offensive) masterwork materials on armour too, right? I just made a Superior Prowler Coat with hidden blades for Aidan called Deckard's Coat. (Blade Runner... Geddit?)

That's what my Knight Enchanter was wearing. Armor with Hidden Blades... Well, that actually makes sense, she had to hide those blades somewhere

Chain Lightning is surely good, but I avoid it in Emerald Graves. I really don't feel like fighting 3 Giants + 5 Brontos... again *flashbacks*

May I ask why you decided to craft new dagger? Not that I saw your other post in another thread... Nooo...

Ohhh yeah, that one. I never upgrade that skill for Varric or Sera just because of that. Like we need angry brontos and druffaloes and giants at the party.

Hahaha! Yeah that is a risk... As is having an injured Halla/(August) Ram wandering around your map as an annoying red dot after getting caught by a stray bolt...

But it can one-shot three Venatori at once, if they're stupid enough to stand in a row! Now that I think about it... upgrading it for a computer/random controlled characters isn't a good idea... But then, I play on casual and all my rogues have that hiding skill*, so YOLO and invite the brontos to the party!  B)

* uhm, yeah, don't ask me for the skill names, I still call "full Draw" as "Heart Shot"

I always put fade touched item that gives me guard on armor.

I've done that a few times having it for all companions. It was a constant lightning storm.

Flip a coin

I've chosen the templars in most of my playthroughs. I like fighting the envy demon. I also like hearing it talk smack to me.

Thanks! I do love to give jokey names to my weapons and armour. Sometimes the jokes are better than others. My favourite is still "I Aim to Misbehave" for Sera's bows. It references her character, the act of archery and Firefly. What more could one ask for? :D

I feel like archers get the short end of the stick in Origins.

Most rogue specializations are melee focused. The only one you can effectively use just gives you Snow White powers. Bleh.

Check out the eyelashes <3

Brenna's been in the thick of it as usual deciding it was time to storm Adamant Fortress before dropping into the Fade & taking on the Aspect of the Nightmare:

There's also been the obligatory dragon action, this time a successful trip to the Fens. That's 4 down 6 to go:

This is turning into a long playthrough for some reason. Already past the 140 hours of the previous one & still to visit the Emerald Graves, Emprise & 90% of the Hissing Wastes!

Interesting Epilogue slides. First though, great pics! Love the dog one the best  ... but interesting. Would that be Divine Justinia? Were Leliana and Cassandra working for her then? How would a Cadash Inquisitor feel knowing this?

Thank you  ;)

According to wiki Beatrix III is Divine until 9:34 when Justinia V takes over. The 5th Blight happens 9:30-9:31.

Leliana became Left Hand for Justinia after the Fifth Blight.

Cassandra has been the Right Hand since 9:22.

Swap out Spinning Blades for mark of Death and that's how I played my assassin too.

I keep both spinning blades and mark of death.

Currently debating what to choose between mages and Templars for my rogue Trevelyan.

I went with the Templars for most of my play throughs. I find that quest more personal for a Trevelyan Inquisitor, because he/she has family members among the Templars and chantry. It helps the Inquisition's growing reputation as well. That's how I played my Trevelyan Inquisitors, but in the end, it's your choice.

I always put fade touched item that gives me guard on armor.

Same here.

*an excerpt from Inquisition Council meeting 1-7-7-4 on what to do with the 'Avarr Abomination'*

Kara Trevelyan: It seems simple enough this will be an event for increased knowledge across all of Thedas on a very sensitive subject, and as Inquisitor I have come to learn that the search for knowledge is very important.

Josephine:  Excellent I shall make the calls, my ambassadors in the Emprise and Val Royeux...as well as Nevarra...and ooh maybe as far as Cumberland! will be more then eager to accept this charge.

Cullen: And at what cost?

Kara: Sounds good.  Set up the meeting I will...

*

*her voice trails off as she locks eyes with Cullen, who is glaring across the room*

On second thought a few Templars, some small room?

*Cullen nods*

Excellent, at least...lets take this slow we do not know what we are dealing with here...you know baby steps? *clears throat* haha.

On this episode of Dragon Age Inquisition.  Trolly Spiders on the Trail.

So, I am trying to wrap up the Jaws of Hakkon, and going on the trail of Inquisitor Ameridan....heh...but I kept on getting interrupted.  Even before I started.  I could not really get it going.  I was in a camp, trying to get to the Rezikael keep.  First time ran into some Spiders and stuff.  Then I got to the keep and cut my way through the Hakkon guards, but at the cost of several of my potions.  So the second time ran into some Spiders and more Hakkonites...and then half way there I realized I forgot something so I fast traveled back to the camp and equipped my potions.  So I went down the lift...and right down the lift....three gurgut's have been waiting for me.

Anyways those puzzles were annoying, following the trail was annoying, and the Hakkonites were annoying, I was starting to get the feeling i did during the first playthrough of...I want to wrap this up already!  But then realized that was bad so I took a deep breath and reset.  And pretty much here I am after setting my people off to do two war table missions.

Aww, come one. The more the merrier!

But I want to be the one who does the inviting, heh. I'm having Shepard flashbacks. I can deal with extra brontos, druffys, and giants (mostly) if I know they're coming. Neither Varric nor Sera ever give a word of warning :P

Ahh, thanks for the link. I don't want to get into too much of a Mass Effect discussion here, but that seems like a bit of tricky work-around to the confrontation with Wrex on the Citadel. Not tricky as in sneaky, but tricky as in a lot of steps, and impossible without the Leviathan DLC. I dunno, Mike, While this might be fun to try out, I kinda feel like... if I'm going to playthrough the whole game planning on sabotaging the cure on Wrex, then I want that confrontation on the Citadel. It's a pretty significant part of the whole thing. Tough to get through --I felt like I'd been punched in the gut after that scene was over, and I kinda hated Shep a little bit, heh.

Thank you  ;)

Welcome :) .... and thanks for the info. Jeez, who knew you could learn stuff on the wiki  So depending on when the "Burkel Incident" occurred (please don't quote me a date because I'll feel bad :P ) then Justinia might have been the Divine. Would have been kinda funny if, when the Cadash "Herald" gets to the Fade, she recovers a memory of the events of the Temple like...

Justinia: Help me!!

Cadash: What's going here?? Ohh, it's you. Help yourself, I'm outta here. Oh hey what's this bowling ball looking thing?

Then everyone in the Fade looking incredulously at Cadash afterwards, except Cassandra, who refuses to make contact because she knows.

I keep both spinning blades and mark of death.

I may have to respec my DW rogue's skills when I take her through JoH, just to try out spinning blades.

Speaking of little things you just discovered.... I just discovered that if you're going to multiquote a bunch of quotes and you go to check out a different topic before you hit the "reply" button, then if you're still in the other topic when you do hit reply, your reply will go into that topic, instead of the one you intend it to, and of course none of it will make any sense to anyone reading that topic.
