finished witch hunt
let Morrigon go through the mirror without incident
when I got to level 35, I received no more experience points.
About 3 months ago. After playing Witcher 3 and Arkham Knight, I was ready to come back and finish one of my saves. Logged in, downloaded a patch.. I thought it would be more new stuff and fixes, right? WRONG. It's a stupid MP patch that did absolutely nothing for me other than break 3 of my mods. Nothing major, but slightly annoying as one of them was the no sideburns one that seems to have disappeared now. And most modders stopped playing so they probably wont update anytime soon.
So it was a
situation for me.

I think 35 is the level cap added in Awakening. It was increased from DAO's 25? 30?. I play on PC and have the level up to 50 mod installed. I think I was able to get up to the low 40s, without playing GoA, on my last run.
I have to wonder if they make these caps with the idea that people aren't going to do everything? Which is silly since so many players are borderline OCD and almost have to do everything. Many others just want to. And then they add more content and don't raise the level limit (looking at you ME2/ME3
).
DAI's level limit is, what? 27? which is easily reached by playing JoH. They really need to raise it in the next DLC.

That's one thing I really don't get about DA, why is there a level cap? I mean, you don't get any EXP anymore when you're three level higher than your enemy (at least in DAI).
Tho it could be, because before DA the only RPGs I played were Final Fantasy (I looove FFX-2) and Pokemon (
) where the level cap is 100.

I think I finished origins at level 22. I would say playing as a rogue at the beginning gives an advantage over the other classes since chests/doors can be unlocked whereas with the other two classes, its not till Lothering a rogue joins your party, Leliana
It doesn't bother me since I was a walking tank at that point.

I can get to level 30 in ME2 without doing any side missions. A default ME3 playthrough, I only got to level 52 when I did everything

When I did everything and the dlc, I ended about 30 000 experience points from level 28
I knew it was 27. Some guys on a stream told me they could go higher a few months ago. Looks like they fibbed.
Miri Trevelyan
Visited a hairdresser. Is it just my feeling, or the Black Emporium employs better hairdressers than Trevelyan family?
Cleared out zealous mages' and templars' camps.
Got a horse.
Recruited Blackwall and Iron Bull.
Hired some agents.
Talked with Fiona and walked away angry, because the mage denied her. Decided to contact templars instead.
Maggie Trevelyan is level 25. It's weird -- between levels 12 to 23ish it's really easy to apply skill points, since you know you have more coming later, in case there is something you missed. Now, so near the level cap, I'm finding it much harder. I don't want to start down a new skill tree to get a passive that's 3 or 4 points away, since I'll never get there, even with a respec. I also don't want to pick up any more active skills, since my 8 slots are already full and I already have a couple of skills "in reserve" to be swapped in for special occasions, like Winter's Chill. So, what to do? It's almost like the last couple of points are a waste. I'd rather trade them for Influence. Hey, there's an idea for a mod!
Anyway, JoH DLC action, I've been putting off taking the boat to the island and instead have been goofing around with minor subquests, like The Loss of a Friend and Beasts at Bay. And abolishing any rifts that get in my way.
I know exactly what you mean about mistakes and missing stuff.
Most people recommend treating the first run as just a test, and for that purpose it may be best to play a character that isn't your canon hero. But... I just couldn't wait.
I treated my first lady Cousland (who was badass s&s warrior) as my canon for a long time. She lost her 'canon' position, but she still is really dear to me. After all I took my baby steps in DA world with her.
Well, now, that makes me not want to help Dagna anymore either.
Seriously, the Chantry really needs to get over itself. Looking forward to beating up on it in my next (currently on hold) DAI game as an elfy elf.
True. I know you can avoid this ending if you grand Circle autonomy... thought you can only do that if you're a mage (or am I missing something...).
The Chantry seems to be paranoid about everything and tries so hard to erase important things from history.
I'm thinking of playing a rebellious anti-Channtry Inquisitor in a future play through.
That seems like interesting playthrough. Cassandra will surely not be happy with your Inquisitor o 3o

Yeah, those despair demons in JoH are level 30. It would be nice to have the level limit raised in the next one.

Cassandra was best friends with my previous Inquisitors (except Julian, she was his girlfriend). Therefore, it'll be interesting to see her become bitter towards a future Inquisitor.
I'm also liking the ideas of conscripting/dissolving the Templar Order; pressuring Cassandra to give up on the Seekers; and allowing Leliana to lose herself and fall to the dark side.
The one playthrough I did as a DW, I had hidden blades on both daggers, hidden blades on Cass' weapon, hidden blades on Sera's bow and hidden blades on Dorian's staff. Each fight was nothing but hidden blades. I couldn't stop laughing of how quickly the fight would end. This was on nightmare
I've never used that.
Even when I'm not playing a DW, I add hidden blades to all weapons be it a staff, bow, sword, shield or two-handed
After I posted this, I realized that I made Shay a new off-hand weapon and it had 5 hits with hidden blades so I was getting 9 hits in a row at times. I had hidden blades on Dorian's staff and then put some on Cass's shield just because. It really is like cheating. LOL! I took out Coryfish way fast.
The last male mage I played with had hidden blades on his staff along with being a KE so he was tanking and getting all those hidden blade hits. The game seems to drop fade touched ring velvet much more often than any other fade touched material. Typically I will have six or seven pieces of it without having to actively search for it. Just because zombies.
Finished Malia's tale in DA2. Now I get to sort through almost 200
screenshots from the end of MoTA to the finale, which was only like 3 quests. She ended at level 28, nearly level 29 (if the experience from the last battle against Meredith counted she would have made it). My previous highest level finish was 27.
On another note, just when I thought my computer issues where taken care of, right in the middle of the cutscene after defeating Prosper, my right side speaker decided to die.
Luckily, I had another set but still....I didn't even go a full day without a problem.

I think Imgur hates me. I flooded it with pics, and now it's shutting down and getting all distant. Can we go back to when we first met and you told me what the limits were?
Holy crap, I'm looking back over the thread and there is so much awesomeness -- screenshots, stories, discussions -- and that's in just two days
I think you're all conspiring to make sure I never get caught up on likes .... Does that mean you should stop? Oh. Hell. No.
There is even too much to multiquote. I'm gonna try and highlight a couple things.
Magdalena11 broke imgur ... But not really, it's been haywire for a couple of days not my fault either
Melbella's CPU is chilly once again so her DA2 journey can continue, for which we say, yay!EDIT: well, sh*t.
Qun00 is thoroughly liking Origins, which is awesome and totally understandable.
Solas is making pretty elves.... Agreed.
Gilli-chan is unrepentantly taking way too many screenshots... Don't stop! ... But wait! What is this auto-save voodoo you speak of?
Birefringent is continuing to remake Awakenings in glorious fashion with many mods, for which we are thankful.
ColdwetnOse got a softened Leliana as Divine and I am totally not jealous
Themikefest is zipping through Origins DLC like there is no tomorrow, which is always amazing to me because if I had started Origins on the same day as Mike did, I'd still be in Lothering in my game todayHopefully Mike will be starting DA2 soon.
Al Foley is writing writing writing. Check out the fanfic folks, it's pretty good.
Gottaloveme is being a ninja don't think I didn't notice
Photojenn8 is continuing her journey through Thedas in true zig-zag fashion
Eyes_Only is also continuing her journey and we are in about the same place in our campaigns. My next destination in my SP campaign will be first visit to Redcliffe too.
At the moment however I've been taking part in my first ever MP weekend event -- with Rascoth's help I've unlocked the assassin and katari characters! In describing my contribution to the slaying of 500,000 undead across the entire community I will just say that size doesn't matter ... Uh, so to speak
If I missed anyone I apologizeI'm kinda reminded of Flemeth saying, "someday someone will summarize the events of your life so quickly"
Keep it going all you wonderful people
We're all just so inspirational and all? Seriously, the site just tried to spank me for posting too many emoticons. What the heck are we doing right and how do we intensify it? [OK, evil me talking, how do I exploit it?]
Technical stuff out of the way first. You'te allowed ten emoticons in a post, and it includes the ones you quote in that limit. Being retired helps
Hopefully Mike will be starting DA2 soon.
Ha. Maybe. I do like Meredith. She is my favorite character in DA2.
For now I'm playing ME3.
I'm also thinking of doing another DAI playthrough with a gangster feel to the game. haha

Like SporkFu and Rascoth, I went to MP today~
- I decided to level my Lvl 2 Alchemist and go and search for Routine/Random Lobbies. It's fun and soon I'm on Lvl 12.
Then youaremiles and I decide to play together.
- We end up in Routine/FC (I changed to my Lvl 3 Lego) everything's fun until. FLYING WOLVES!
We are just about to walk through the first gate, when a host migration happens and we end up in the Lobby. I try to join them again, but the team is full.
- So I search for another Routine/Random game and end up in an ongoing game in Orlais. I join them in Zone 4 and we make it without problems to Zone 5. Samson is killed fast and soon also his soldiers, but something's wrong.
Nothing happens.
I think we (my Lego, an Isabela, an Avvar and another Lego) walked around the empty area for at least 3 minutes without anything happening. The host then leaves and we (the other Lego, the Avvar and I) have to do Zone 5 again. So we kill Samson a second time and this time we go to score screen.
That was weird.
- Finally youaremiles and I are able to join a game together again. My Lego walks around a corner and sees a Templar on a balcony. Said Templar couldn't decide if he wanted to come down, or stay on the balcony.
Templar: *jumps down* *flies up again* *jumps down* *flies up again*
my Lego: ...decide...
That were some weird runs, but they were fun. ![]()
I decided it might be better to post about one quest at a time. ![]()
Rather than finding nice empty ruins to loot explore, Malia instead discovered the meeting place between Prosper and Tallis' former mentor, Salit. Their negotiations didn't appear to be going very well.
Hmm... It doesn't appear to exist in the mobile version of the forum, which is where I need it most, heh. But thanks. I"ve restarted many posts after accidentally closing a tab or something, and it's entirely likely that they've been auto-save all alongAuto-save voodoo = that thing the forum does under your post =)
