Didn't do too much in the game, just talked to everyone. Advisers, Harrit, all the companions. And then went to fill out that first Requisition. Then off to the Hinterlands.

Cathair Lavellan popped round his merry band of misfits to find out the latest news. It turns out that Dorian's been brooding on their trip to the Fade. He had an angry rant about how worried he was.
Oh dear, I don't think Dorian will be pleased when we go to a certain elven temple. Perhaps a completely reckless boyfriend wasn't the best choice, Mr Moustache?
Blackwall has a dark secret. His beard identity is fake.
Lavellan went to confront Blackwall in prison, but he was mostly sad than angry. Whatever the man did was in the past. Lavellan doesn't want or need to know what happened. The Blackwall he knows is a good person, perhaps the most honourable he knows. Besides, Lavellan has a weakness for facial hair. ![]()
Naturally, Beardy was set free. He seems to be happier if conscripted to the Wardens, but Lavellan wants him to be truly free. If Blackwall chooses to join them later, it's up to him. I really like the 'Legacy of DAO' throne. It looks really uncomfortable... but it also looks like an owl. What more could I want? ![]()
Since Lavellan doesn't like Vivienne, he rejected her request. In his defence, she refused to explain why she wanted a wyvern heart. That's not a normal birthday present, right?
Definitely suspicious. Instead, he went to help Leliana (while waving a 'Leliana for Divine!' banner when she walks past).
They finished by clearing up the dragons of Southern Thedas. Partly because it's fun and partly because I need to make up for lost xp. Most of them weren't too difficult, and Kaltenzahn was surprisingly easy. I always think she'll be the hardest, but that's probably because she toasted my first Inky twelve times over.
We've learned much since those days! The tricky one was the Highland Ravager, particularly for poor old Dorian. I can't remember how well Solas fares in dragon fights, but Dorian definitely doesn't compare to Viv. She doesn't even need the rest of the party with her.
One useful thing about Necromancy though: Dorian remains alive for about 10 seconds after he's KO'd. Sadly, he can't revive himself and Spirit-Dorian tries to waste potions on himself... but he does get to cast barrier on everyone, or revive someone else. Always useful!
Cole isn't quite as good as Lavellan in the fight (despite them both being DW Assassins). Nevertheless, we weren't doing too badly until the dragon started summoning babies all the time. Between the guard, babies, flamethrower and fire mines, things got a little... heated. By the end, Lavellan and Blackwall were the only ones standing. At full health and full guard too. I love being a DW rogue late in the game. ![]()

Ack. Me too! I started up a game of DA2 just to see if it was working properly after installing all the DLC, etc. and played through the intro. It was ... confusing.
The first time I played DA2, the beginning was very confusing! I thought I was doing it wrong and had somehow got thrown into the middle of the game. ![]()
Geez, this moment. I'm always like 'The hell man?! You couldn't find betterm moment to go nuts?!'
And it's kinda sad that you get his staff at this moment... because I really like it and can't use it... you know, end of the game
Definitely! My reaction the first time was, "What the bleepbleepbleep are you doing??! We're winning, you idiot!" Or at least, not dying.
I used Malcolm's Honor (from one of the item packs) for most of game, so pretty much any other staff wasn't as good. I love those "Improves with level up" Items.

Yes, the game tries to make her into a rogue which gives her default rogue gear in the first cutscene. Once I get control the mod has an ability that removes the old class and respecs her into a mage. Then I gave her her gear.
The staff is called Fadelight, Gewitterwolke ported the model from Awakening - Awakening Weapon Models for Origins
The armor is from Phoenix Armory by xeltech.
After that I used the Universal Dye Kit to recolor the staff and armor to give them a bit of a yellowish/green tint that looks a bit more like they'd been elven made

I managed to get Ullia to SKYHIOLD. i like finding new tricks and stuff out. Since I am playing a mage on NIGHTMARE I had to really play smart and not cheat (Even though I did take Sera with me and can have her cloak). When it came to unessesary fights i would click on "DISENGAGE" and run from the venetori guys and they will not give chase and wait by the chantry door entrance. I used up all of my regeneration potions first and was able to keep boxes intact. I top priority archers and Ullia, Blackwall, Sera and Vivianne would flat out pwned them in seconds (or at least bring a archer from full health to 5% in a jiffy then a few strikes would be dead from Ullia's shatter combo, Blackwalls grapple chain and Sera's shoyuken). When it came to the trebushet part when reinforcements were called I ran and jumped up the mountain near the trebushet and had the venetori and Fiona work to try to get kills so I wound up picking guys off one by one instead of worrying about 5-8 guys. New thing I found out which I found funny was during "The long walk" (your inquisitor walking in the blizzard alone) was I found a camp site and Ullia commented about it and I kept trecking north away from the designation point. Ullia actually passed out at one point which made me like
but it teleported me to the next scene where your inquisitor finds a warm camp site and gets found by Cassandra and friends which is like
. Only in video games. Lol.
I took roughly 100ish pictures so it's going to take some time to edit. Sadly i didn't make a collapse video because I never did it before so I was in awe when it happened. Lol. I did take a picture of Kattie Aubreck and some other stuff in Skyhold. I am going to hit Exalted Plains first then do WICKED MINDS WICKED HEARTS before the warden story mission. BTW Stroud's my warden since I am doing a third run of my cannon story (Kaetlissa Aubreck DAO/DAA->Kattie Aubreck DA 2).
Looking forward to it in my Tanith Solas(maybe)-mance play-through that is on hold until I finish DA2.
More important, I got my cpu fan replaced!! Yay!!!![]()
![]()
It's glowing cool blue while the one I took out was red. It is cooling better and running MUCH quieter than the old one, so double and triple YAY!!
Now maybe I can get back to sneaking around Chateau Haine. No fair that Tallis can stealth but Hawke, even if a rogue, can't.
Still, as a mage Malia should be able to put the whammy on the guards so they don't notice her, right?
@Mebella - Ugh. Sneaking at Chateau Haine. Kudos to you for going that route. After my one and only try at "sneaking", all subsequent play throughs have been, "Swords for everyone!".
I have always been terrible at that type of game mechanic. And I have been known to "rage quit", when failing repeatably and forced to start again...and again...and again...
I always have issues with that part but I have noticed if you get caught your teleported back to your 'Tallis spawn point' (area where Tallis is standing) and she critisizes you for your lack of stealth. This part is ok to me but the biggest issue I have is that bloody face puzzle. I am usually good at solving puzzles like that but it takes me time and brain power to solve it. At times I feel like I don't so I look for the solution elsewhere and claim the stuff that way. Speaking of DA 2 I think I got almost every achievement in that game? i know I got something from that DLC last time I played DA 2. I think I just need gain all ingrediants or something. I usually don't because I feel potions and added bomb or whatever stuff is useless because comboing is boss and some classes have beast abilities as well. I'll give DAI that where it's less easier to trash bad guys and takes more effort.

And now that she was Herald of Andraste, the chief's son was challenging her and her gods to a fight. But as Scout Harding pointed out there was a lot more here going on. Undead were coming out from the waters and trying to find the kidnapped Inquisition soldiers was proving difficult. But Brin was not afraid of undead. And neither was her band of merry companions consisting of Blackwall, Solas and Vivienne. And Brin throught it was funny when Blackwall began to make jokes at Vivienne's expence about the mud.

Started doing my random playthrough of DAO, and of course the Goddess of RNG decided that I should play a Dalish dwarven mage. Right. Well, I went exploring mods and actually found one that let me play as a dalish dwarven mage.
This is her story:
Chapter 1 - Jade wood flower
During a late night when the crescent moon was unusually bright, a dwarf appeared out of nowhere in the Planasene forest. With no memory of who, or whence she came from, she wandered the forest for days. Tired and starving she was suddenly beset by a sylvan. Too tired to flee the dwarf panicked and fire burst forth from her fingers, igniting the sylvan. Some nearby elven scouts noticed the sudden fiery light in the dark forest and immediately went to investigate. What they witnessed was unheard of, a dwarf that seemingly possessed the ability to perform magic. The scouts knew their Keeper would want to hear of this, and apprehended the dwarf. Way too tired to fight off the elves, she had little choice but to let the elves bring her to their clan.
Upon arrival the dwarf fell unconscious of exhaustion, and the following six days kept the clan's healers busy trying to restore the dwarf to health. Although the healers said that they felt like something was hindering their attempts, the Keeper insisted the dwarf be mended. Another three days later and the dwarf began to stir. Yet it took two more days of careful nourishing before she was able to gather her wits.
The dwarven woman struggled with the Keeper's questions, having lost her memory and barely able to manage the common tongue. Many in the clan felt that the dwarf should be brought, or at least sent to Orzammar. Keeper Marethari was no stranger to magic and the fears of her clansmen. Perhaps it was her curiosity that kept her from sending the dwarf away, or was it something else? Nevertheless, Marethari didn't perceive the dwarven woman as a threat. She had done no harm and showed nothing but gratitude towards the clan that viewed her with suspicion and fear.
Several days passed as the mystery dwarf's health improved, but not her memory. She never experienced dreams, or felt the presence of spirits. Neither did she hear any voices. In turn this revelation became one more thing that fueled the Keeper's interest in the dwarf, so much that she allowed her to remain with the clan until she felt ready to leave.
The clan gathered around the campfire and together they dubbed the dwarf Rysae'or, the Jade Wood Flower. The name hailing partially of the dwarf's jade eye color, and from an ancient tale of a jade flower which only blooms in the night, in the very deep heart of some forests. On this evening, in the year 9:22 Dragon, for the first time in known history a dwarf became part of a Dalish clan.
Paivel, the clan's hahren, took Rysae'or under his wing as her caretaker and teacher. Through the years he would teach her their language and customs. Times would be hard and trying for Rysae'or and her new clan. Most of which came from her struggles with controlling her magic. Marethari remained ever kind and patient. Once Rysae'or managed to control her abilities, the elven clan slowly eased itself like a cool breeze flowing through the trees. Tensions fell away and Rysae'or found a loving home with the clan. Still her lost memories kept eluding her.
Years later the clan set camp within the Brecilian forest. On a scouting trip through the forest, Rysae'or and her friend Tamlen came across a couple of human strangers...
A dalish dwarven mage ... That conversation with Dagna down in Orzammar will be epic.
"Dwarves can't learn magic"
"Uhh...standing right here."
Thank you

Da amazing adventure of Inquisitor Connie in Frostback Basin continues. I'm planning to finish it today, but because of number of screenshots I made... and number of planned ones, I decided to divide it. Part one - how ladies party keep searching for previous Inquisitor and how ice turns out to be greatest obstacle.
Of course I started with taking some scenery screenshots.
Then our dear Inquisitor had mighty need to jump down the waterfall. Eh...
Cassandra and Vivienne turned out to be more interested in fighting "Nox Morta" than I thought.
I dare you to get better selfie!
I'm glad this guy got some part in JoH and didn't end up being Cullen's office decoration.
Then came time for some more scenery screenshots.
I hate this particular rift. Like really, really hate. Brrr. Tho Pride Demon looks cool.
Ladies party got attacked by some Hakkonites. After finishing them I wondered why I stayed in combat. It turned out that guy was stalking us from bushes.
Scenery again. Because why not!
The time has come, time to find out Ameridan's whereabouts.
But before that, a fight.

Another problem for which jumping is the solution, believe it or not. It's been happening since they patched auto attack, sometimes you'll run a couple steps, then fire again. Just switch to isometric mode and jump in place to disengage so you can move.
