I made a huge mistake using Vivienne in my party. She disapproves on almost everything i do.
*Fed the homeless and cured the sick* -*Vivienne Greatly Disapproves*
Seriously i want to punch her in the...
Spoiler
That's quite peculiar, as Xarovin has just been invited to a Ball hosted by Vivienne.
One of the guests started mocking Xarovin, then called Cassandra a washed up Seeker. Needless to say, his punishment was death.
Then Xarovin told Viv the Inquisition doesn't want her help. So not only has Xarovin killed a guest, turned down the Host's offer of joining the Inquisition, but he also got to try out a bunch of delicious food and drinks before he left.
All in all, a great Ball! Would kill again!

It's totally happening. Either that or I'll just have Valentines Day twice instead. My kitchen looks like a carrot exploded in it- which may, in fact, have actually happened, and I can't remember when I put my bread in the oven. I could write a book of all the disasters I'm having today only people would probably think I was exaggerating.

I haven't done much of anything with DAI today or at least so far. I did however go to Target and got some cookies and chips while its pouring rain today. Its suck not having snow here. You know what that means right? I will have to visit Emprise Du Lion to see snow. That's ok. I was planning on going there anyways. Hahaha

Loaded up with raw materials again, we went back to Skyhold. I checked in the War Room and had Josie arrange for an Antivan tailor to do some work, and sent them out to do some more scouting. Apparently Wade is interested in making some dragon scale armor again. That would be nice. I heard rumors about his work for the Warden.
Then I sat in judgement of the magister.... the one who took over Redcliffe. He seemed to be very surprised that his spell worked when I told him I was looking forward to killing him a second time. I beheaded him. (come on Bioware, that was too clean - more blood like Game of Thrones - and then display his head in the courtyard)
After the beheading I was fitted for a new suit of armor, and while it was not a masterwork, it was quite an improvement over what I was wearing. Dagna does some fine work.
I caught Cassandra reading a book. She tried to hide it and said she was reading some reports. Then ... "Literature. ... smutty Literature." One of Varric's stories. Perhaps I should read it? She protested that I should not because I am the Inquisitor. I laughed. Cassandra can be so funny. Then I went and played a game of chess with Cullen. That was a nice break from things. Cullen is a breath of fresh air. I really like spending time with him, and I hope we can spend more time together.
We returned to the Emerald Forest and gathered some more great bear hides, closed a few more rifts, and set up another camp. After that we went to the Exalted Plains and sealed the deal with the Dalish clan. They trust us now, and they let us have an agent. Why they couldn't have done any of these tasks on their own I have no idea. Still sore about the Exalted March. If they had only seen the light and embraced The Maker they wouldn't be in this mess.
After handling that mess, we cleared the ramparts, and wandered the Plains for a while. We found some bridges in need of repair. I'll put Cullen on those immediately.

It was at least partially due to Solas and his Barrier skill (filled the whole tree), so thanks, my Barrier buddy! I was finally able to clear the rest of the Fallow Mire after that; later went back to Skyhold and spent the rest of the time letting my mage's robes dry out. *shakes fist at bogs, fens, swamps, and rain in general*

Decided to contradict one of my beliefs and thus suffer from dissonance. Magister Erimond accepted his fate. I couldn't have that; his punishment had to be more severe. He had to be corrected. Tranquility is an abomination. It is one of the more monstrous things about dragon age and it's disgusting. Yet, when faced with someone who was only sorry he wasn't able to do more damage I had to make an example of him.
Not sure what to think of it at the moment.
Well played, Bioware.

Two things happened today. First, I encountered a new romance scene in DAI. Forget riding the Bull, hungry hungry hippos are where it's at.
Secondly, I went to fight all three Emprise du Lion dragons. After all, I’d discovered the wonder of setting preferences in the tactics menu, elemental defence, using focus abilities, and giving Cole/Vivienne custom armour that gives them +2 guard on hit. I figured we’re unstoppable. And we were, when fighting the two toughest dragons. The third, however... All I can say is that somehow, somehow, Cassandra managed to be a big incorporal ghost in the sky. And when you switch to her, it gets freakier. Am I in the Black City? Is she the Maker? What is this.

I'm dead on 10 hours in this playthrough aka "Still my 2nd one, lets hope I can actually complete it before starting over".
I've yet to go to the Stormcoast, That place with the Avvar, and that place with the Temple that requires a lot of shards.
Oh man, by the time this playthrough on Hard is done, I wonder what my final game time will look like. I have a feeling I'll look like this;

Tomorrow won't help. Once the family has done opening presents, I'll be splitting my gaming time |: Maker save me.

Survived the Winter Palace intrigue with full court approval.
Exposed Florianne's treachery to all but then things went downhill. Ended up having Gaspard executed and no reconciliation for Celene and Briala. Was going to redo the whole thing but cut scene after cut scene after cut scene happened and I didn't want to go back that far and start over.Considering I hated all the characters in Masked Empire except for the elf mage, I didn't really care too much about who ended up ahead and who ended up dead. Next time, I guess. Did finally get to dance with Solas though.
Back at Skyhold, all sorts of things are going on. The clerics want Leliana and Cassandra to go to Val Royeaux and play their game, and then Morrigan shows up uninvited into the war room and promptly drags me out to whoknowswhere through her magic mirror. I just want to go kill stuff....can't you people leave me alone?!

Oh, I assure you ... Nothing says Christmas disaster like your son coming down with a cough that keeps the entire family awake all night until your husband finally gets so fed up he takes off to Walmart at 2 am to buy a steam humidifier as a last ditch effort to ease the coughing enough for everyone to fall asleep. Then when he gets home, he has a slightly stunned/shocked look on his face and announces, "I hit a deer."
At least we got to make a song out of it:
Uncle Jim ran over Santa's reindeer
Driving home from Walmart Christmas Eve
You can say there's no such thing as Santa
But as for all of us, well, we believe!

I'm at 72 hrs.....
Well I turned the game on again.
I checked in on the war room and hooked up all of the long missions. Then I went to finish up Sera's mission, and conscripted the Noble. Sera was like WTF are you doing? But was okay because I put him i his place. Then I went back to the undercroft and tried to make some more armor. Talked with Varric about Corypheus. Then dropped off some stuff for research.
Am I ever going to finish this thing?

Took care of Varric's personal mission (Well, sh**) and learned that Blackwall isn't Blackwall. After speaking to him in the Val Royeaux cells, my quizzie had to do some serious shopping while she thought about what to do. Bought every bed and drape variety available, even though I still am unable to see them in use (::sigh:: stupid bug). Then she decided to give him over to the Wardens once Cory is dead (I was actually hoping making him a Warden for real was an option but I wanted to do it now not later). Found another book for Vivienne and noticed that an upgraded set of dragon gear schematics magically appeared in the Undercroft chest. Made myself a nice new dagger but don't have what I want to make new armor yet.

Getting stuck into Adamant at the moment. Really hate Erimond and Cor. Making me kill wardens (mumble mumble). Got all of my aparatusses, aparatusi, aparatises and am now a tempest archer. Dorian had better be careful that I don't have a tantrum. I may just rain all over him.
Poor Lyell thought he'd had the worst while pfaffing around in the miry part of Fallow Mire picking up diseased tissue (with his hands)
. Now BW have given him ghoul sores to collect. They letting little kids give them these ideas? ![]()

Merry Christmas to you all, I hope you have a wonderful day.
I asked for all the DA Novels today, so lets hope "Santa" doesn't let me down!
Also something Inquisition related, I've unlocked Deft Hands, Fine Tools. I had to spend another point in order to unlock it, so I chose the one that gives you said % of exp for Enemies you've already researched/will research. It got me to level 9 so its not all too bad. And to think I've yet to go to Storm Coast, Fallow Mire, and that shard place.
That Deft Hands perk also got me a Fade-touched Obsidian from a locked building, which gives 3 Guard on hit!
Where's the best place to try and farm Fade-touched Obs? I'll have to wait until Skyhold to craft gear for Cass with it so she's unstoppable, but if I can get that for all my party members....mother of god...
but yes, Merry Christmas, hope you have a splendid day!

Fade touched metals are a random drop from nodes in the wilds. Crestwood and the Exalted plains have a lot of obsidian. There is another version of FT obsidian that gives a 10% chance of chain lightning at 75% weapon strength on hit. Fade touched silverite gives either 5 guard or 10% chance of chain lightning at 100% weapon damage on hit. You can find it in Emprise du Lion (in Alphonse's Passage) along with bloodstone and dawnstone. FT dawnstone is also pretty good: heal 25% damage taken over 10 seconds or 10% chance of 3 seconds of walking fortress (immunity to damage)
Here's a guide that shows the properties of all materials, ordinary and fade touched. http://dragonage3.wi...fe.com/Crafting

Nang Fa went to the Sword Coast and picked up all the clues about the Grey Wardens, got the stuff Blackwall wants from the Grey Wardens and did all the Astrariums and looted the cave. She got a nice bow with an Immolate proc.. and higher DPS than her crafted bow.
Sweet.
And much to her surprise all that gave her enough influence to reach level 5 and pick up the final knowledge perk: Arcane Knowledge.
Inquisition Status:
Forces
Underworld Knowledge (picked at level 4)
Vale's Irregulars
Lord Berand
Ser Barris
The Blades of Hessarian
Clemence of the Tranquil
Secrets
Arcane Knowledge (picked at level 5)
Smuggler Tanner
Speaker Anais
Witty Rits
Connections
Nobility Knowledge (picked at level 3)
Barter by Belle
Enchanter Ellendra
Inquisition
History Knowledge (picked at level 2)
Horsemaster Dennet
Seeing as pretty much all higher level perks have been unlocked now, I'll most likely proceed as follows:
Tempered Glass Flasks
Deft Hands, Fine Tools
Advanced Focus
Master Focus
Optimal Cutting (the proc is really nice. Might not proc often, but when it does you gather 5-9 at once)
Enhanced Studies (by that point it will give a lot of xp, works retroactively. I don't care about overleveling
)
