LOL...I have a feeling Fenris shakes his head at a lot of Hawke's antics.

Yep! My purple mage!Hawke gets the headshake a lot. ![]()
On this episode of Dragon Age Inquisition. When in the Storm Coast, fight like a rogue.
So I believe I have mentioned a few times at how much I have been missing my rogue. So I jumped into Sera and played her for a while. Just for a few minutes. During a rift battle. Obviously she couldn't close the rifts, but...yeah it was tough...Fighting a level 12 rift as a level eight. But I prevailed.
Anyways running around the Stom Coast, picking up Grey Warden journals and momentals for Blackwall.
And then trying to find that Apostate for the with the key so I can get into that room in the abandoned cabin for the tonic.
It did not go so well.
But on the bright side my companions seem a lot more chatty this play through. Finally. OH and I finally did the Blades of Hessarian Mercy Crest option, first time in three play throughs. Find the missing dead soldiers too. All firsts for me. It was kinda interesting...the guys dogs were tougher then he was.
But the most interesting thing was then fighitng side by side with the blades cleaning up the Storm Coast, actions have consequences *yey*
In other news I should be starting my next DA fan fic within the next couple of days. Maker willing.
Am I The Only One ...
A multi-part update on Alessandra II's story progress. I took a lot of pics during my game time yesterday, so I got them all organized ![]()
Part 1: The Battle of Adamant
Alessandra, Blackwall, Dorian and Sera accompanied Loghain and Hawke to stop the Grey Wardens from summoning Corypheus' demon army. Loghain and Blackwall managed to convince the uncorrupted Warden warriors and Commander Clarel to turn against Erimond.
Warden Commander Clarel faced off against Erimond, furious that he deceived her and the other Wardens. But Erimond sneered saying it was so easy to lure them all into a trap.
Alessandra arrived just in time to see Clarel about to lay the finishing blow on the traitorous bastard, but Corypheus' dragon snatched up the Warden Commander. As Clarel lay dying on the ground, she used up the last of her magic on the dragon causing the battlements to collapse. The Inquisitor and her party fell, but she managed to open a rift using the anchor to enter the fade.
While wandering the fade, the Inquisitor and Loghain came face to face with the late Divine Justinia. But is it really her? "It's either a spirit or a demon posing as the Divine," Alessandra stated flatly.
"Call it what you want, Inquisitor. I'm here to help you," Justinia replied.
The Divine went on to explain that a nightmare demon was responsible for tricking the Wardens into a false calling. Further more, it stole the Inquisitor's memories of what happened at the Temple of Sacred Ashes. After multiple battles, Alessandra finally recovered her lost memories.
Wasting no time to dwell, Alessandra and her team forged on, following the Divine's spirit to escape the fade. They squared off against the nightmare demon, who was awaiting them at the rift. Just as the Divine's spirit was about to disappear, she relayed a message to the Inquisitor to tell Leliana she was sorry.
Alessandra together with her comrades slayed the nightmare demon, but while they made their escape, a giant spider demon stood in their way. Hawke stayed behind to distract the monster as the Inquisitor rushed toward the rift. "Say goodbye to Varric for me!" the former Champion of Kirkwall called.
When the Inquisitor reappeared at Adamant's fortress, the surviving Grey Warden warriors looked to her on their fate. While it would be too easy to exile them, Alessandra decided to have them ally with the Inquisition. The Wardens were grateful to be given a chance to make up for Clarel's mistakes. Blackwall along with Sera and Dorian greatly approved of the choice. However, the Inquisitor's expression was unreadable.
Upon returning to Skyhold, Sera took Alessandra aside and asked what was the real deal on the Wardens. Alessandra looked at the archer and nonchalantly said they're just useful tools for the job.
The Grey Wardens were quick to accept my offer. It's no wonder Erimond got control of them so easily. Soon their order will be scattered to the winds. I will finish what's left of them...

Imgur is being weird. It's showing all of my pics getting uploaded but only half of them (or fewer) actually do. So, no screenshots today due to technical difficulties. Booo.
I first selected the IHW icon on the map so the advisors could have their discussion and Tanith could say, "Yeah, no thanks on the whole bait thing." However, since Dorian shows up before you confirm doing the mage quest, I then had to head-canon telling him, "Sorry you came all this way for nothing. Go back to Redcliffe and stop them yourself. Or, you know, don't." Dorian: "Gee, thanks. See if I end up your BFF this time. Hmmph!"
So... as you know, me and Spork have been playing multiplayer together. Just recently we unlocked certain character...
Maker, it was strange! And funny! And strange ![]()
Here are some duo pics. Don't look at them if you're drunk. You may start to think you're too drunk ![]()
I should officially thank Spork for waiting while I was doing those ![]()

I'm not going to try Imgur until after the weekend. First round of vacation pictures all across the Northern Hemisphere must be being uploaded.
That's funny. I just started IHW after deciding that while I can handle the Great Hall timer, Calpernia's quest is one I don't want to do twice. At any rate, Elissa has just been dumped in the cells with Dorian, who she trusts only slightly more than Alexius.
Wonderful pics, Rascoth! How on earth did you keep straight who was where while you were fighting? I can only imagine how confusing that would be. Double pleasure for Izzy love, though!
I tried out Sera's Dragonslayer bow on the ultimate test: The Highland Ravager.
She knocked off almost three quarters of its health but didn't quite one-shot it this time...
Fortunately that was more than enough damage for Aidan to finish it off by triggering his Mark of Death. Rogue Teamwork! Who need warriors and mages? ![]()
Aidan is master of all he surveys!

- That, when taking a break for dinner or catching up on the forum or whatever, leaves my PC on the main menu screen of DAI, just so I can hear the opening theme music play in the background? I've got it playing right now.
- That when presented with a clear path forward towards a quest goal, goes in any direction but the obvious one? I've found a lot of cool hidden loot and surprises that way.
No but its one of my most oft istened to themes either on youtube or my own mixes. That and the Elder One theme.
Back with the second part of Alessandra II's story.
Part 2: The Fate of Orlais
After meeting with her advisors in the war room and sending the Grey Wardens on several missions, Alessandra travelled to Halamshiral to attend Empress Celene's masquerade. Dorian and Sera gladly accompanied the Inquisitor, but Cassandra also made an appearance much to Alessandra's disdain. Even though they clashed on many occasions, the former Seeker had to keep the Inquisition's leader in check.
Arriving at the Winter Palace, Grand Duke Gaspard greeted Alessandra and took the initiative to try and sway her to his side. "You and I are alike in so many ways," Gaspard told her, "We are leaders of action."
Alessandra gazed at the Grand Duke in the calm expression she always wore when handling the Inquisition's political matters. "I'm certain the court will be surprised to see us together," she replied with a chuckle.
Empress Celene was honoured to finally meet the heroic Inquisitor during introductions. She was also impressed by Alessandra's gracious thoughts of Halamshiral.
After meeting with the Empress, Alessandra weaved her way through the court, using her charisma to gain their approval. She also met the mysterious Elven Ambassador, Briala, out on the palace balcony. Briala was suspicious of the Inquistor's motives at first and kept her distance. When they encountered each other again in the servant's wing after disposing a few Venatori agents, Briala realized Alessandra wasn't doing Gaspard's dirty work and said she was wrong about her. Alessandra watched Briala's departure then turned her gaze to an Elven locket in her hand.
Returning to the ballroom, the Inquisitor was greeted by Grand Duchess Florianne. Odd that the Grand Duchess was hardly present when the masquerade started, she agreed to a dance. As they glided around the dance floor, Florianne informed Alessandra about Gaspard planning an attack on the palace and hiring mercenaries.
The gathering crowd in the ballroom were amazed by the dance and erupted in loud applause and cheers. Making their way off of the dance floor, the Grand Duchess told the Inquisitor about the mercenary captain hiding in the royal wing. Alessandra was skeptical of Florianne's intentions, but decided to investigate.
Before heading to the royal wing, Alessandra had some business matters to attend to. She first went to Briala and told her about the Grand Duke's plans to gain her complete trust. When she showed the locket she found in the Empress' vault, the Ambassador was shocked that Celene kept it the whole time.
Moving to the Empress' ladies in waiting next, the Inquisitor relayed information about Gaspard and Briala. She also met with Celene after telling the ladies about Briala's locket. Celene revealed she still had feelings for the Ambassador after they drifted apart.
Lastly, Alessandra paid Grand Duke Gaspard a visit and shared a drink. Then left him with interesting information about Celene and Briala.
The Inquisitor finally met up with a grouchy Cassandra along with Sera and Dorian in the royal wing. Cassandra ranted this mission was taking long and that they hurry up, but Alessandra brushed her off. "You obviously don't have any patience for the nobility," she remarked. They caught up with one of the Elven servants, who mentioned about Briala's past with Celene. It seemed that Briala was oblivious to Celene's purging of her alienage while they were still in love.
After Alessandra released the servant, she and her team went on to find the mercenary captain with the Grand Duchess, a group of assassins and a fade rift. Florianne boasted that the Inquisitor walked into her trap so that she can go ahead and assassinate the Empress. Alessandra easily took care of the obstacles and left the mercenary captain behind without a second glance.
Making her way to the ballroom just in time for the Empress' speech, Cullen approached the Inquisitor awaiting her instructions. Alessandra ordered him to have the soldiers stand by.
While Celene spoke to the court, the Inquisitor noticed Florianne from the corner of her eye and followed her. As the Empress allowed Florianne to speak next, she made her move which shocked the entire court. Gaspard couldn't believe his eyes. In the shadows, Briala cried out to Celene.
The pieces are falling into place... Time to be the hero...
Alessandra and her team caught up with Florianne in the courtyard shortly after Celene was killed. The Grand Duchess put up a remarkable fight, but it was the Inquisitor, who dealt the final blow.
With the Empress dead, it was time to choose her successor. Alessandra later found Gaspard and Briala arguing on the balcony. Noticing the Inquisitor's presence, they each made their claims on who should lead. Briala was aghast when Alessandra chose Gaspard to rule. She further revealed the Elven servant's evidence about Celene that the Ambassador never knew of. The new Emperor's eyes glinted behind his mask as he decided on Briala's execution then made his way to address the court.
As Alessandra followed Gaspard, Briala managed to find her voice and curse her. "You knew! You played us all along!" she hissed.
Alessandra glanced at the broken Ambassador. "It's all part of the game," she simply replied and disappeared into the ballroom.
To be continued...
Sorry that this was long. I took my time playing this quest to choose the outcome best fit for Alessandra's story. I felt siding with Gaspard was more of a backstab to both Briala and Celene. Aless played with Briala's feelings for the Empress just to let her guard down then went in for the kill at the right time. Celene was just easy. ![]()

Welcome back! Nice to see you back here among usI've been gone for awhile, but I'm thinking about going back to DA and trying out the DLCs that have been released!

Not much to report. Was mainly on TOKYO TWILIGHT GHOST HUNTERS since I finished and returned J STARS VS +. Nice to see you posting again eggplantred. I like your posts like everyone elses.
@Forsythia77: I noticed you started "unfinsihed busineses" and killed that guy in the Hinderlands. I was like "oh ok good" because For Malaioniss i killed him on literally my first trip to Hinderlands back at level 4-8 and haven't gotten that mission yet he was never chalked off my list. i was like "WTF" and filed it over to 'technical issues' and BIOWARE heard my message apparently because a day or two after I posted the message i found him respawned (which he never did until after the message post) and I killed him again and a respawned henchman of his which i killed again.
PS: i did say "Unfinished businesses"....Just trying to reference BIG HIT. Lol. I like coming up with gag mission titles for this game.
I love that pic, heh. Like Alessandra is saying to herself, "How easy it would be to go for the jugular right now"
... Nice read too. I kinda like how the game doesn't make it seem like a failure if Celene dies. In my one game where I played it that way, I can't remember which dialogue I picked but, when they were talking about it afterwards, the inquisitor said something like "everything went according to plan." Which I thought was kinda cool.
Thanks. Normally when I play Wicked Eyes Wicked Hearts, I motor through that quest to get it done. And yes, I saved Celene's royal bee-hind each time and get her back together with Briala (while ignoring the Masked Empire novel for the sake of the Inquisitor's story).
For Alessandra II, I let her play the Orlesian politics game thoroughly. Just sat back and let her take her sweet time setting the pieces in place. I also chose the dialogue, "Everything went according to plan" when Alessandra talked to Josephine on the balcony at the end. The priceless look on Josie's face...
Ehhh I'll try to post La Laifah from Dragon Age origins. Again if i have gotten carried away i'll limit my picture posting next post and so on.
The Grey Warden La Laifah: The Turmoiled Wedding Part One.
The Grey Warden La Laifah: The Turmoiled Wedding Part Two
I got some more pictures but I got to gagize them still. I still got to get back to DAO at some point and finish Ostagar part two (The dark spawn invasion/tower signal).
Elissa finished Hushed Whispers and decided to check out the Forbidden Oasis while the critters were still high enough level to get credit for. What the heck?! Before In Your Heart Shall Burn, there's no Venatori? Just hyenas? I can get all the canine leather I need in the Hinterlands. I was hoping for some cloth. The tier 2 rocks aren't bad.
What's with that miner? Does she only show up mid-combat now or something? Last time, it was the giant (who isn't there yet.) This time, hyenas had to do. Love Blackwall & Bull's banter. First time I had both of them together when we met her.
Not letting her get away, got to kill this thing quick.
There. Now, about that ring....
Edit: Well, that didn't go well. Perhaps I should be higher than level 9 (party level 8) before taking on that particular cavern. I was down to 4 spiders....
It started well enough. Everyone had had an easy time so far, nice carpet of fire, start softening them up with the bees...
At this point, things had started to go south. Elissa had just revived Blackwall, and he was going down again.
Got him back, then it was Dorian's turn to fall down.
And, it went downhill from there.
Is this going to help?
That would be a no.
Elissa's a joiner.
That's it, just 4 spiders left. When I come back (perhaps with some grenades belts,) I'm counting how many there are.
This is too much. Look at how Dorian fell, on the right side of the arch.

Not DA related, entirely, but I wanted to share it. It involves Mass Effect, but it makes absolutely zero sense. It just sounded too funny in my head:
The time of this event is right after Thessia in ME3:
*Liara Prays*
Liara(L): Is that what You want from us? Blood? To die so that Your will be done? Is death Your only blessing? You speak for the Alliance, no? What does Athame's prophet have to say about all of this? What's Her game?
Shepard(S): I speak for no one but myself, and I have no answers for you.
L: You probably don't even worship Athame. Lucky. She asks a lot. The believers of Athame teaches that Athame abandoned us. She demands repentance for our sins. She demands it all. Our lives. Our deaths. Those Asaris gave Her everything they had, and She let them die!
S: I'm sorry. Their deaths have clearly hit you hard.
L: Not just me. All of us. They were the followers. They led the faithful... They were their heart. If Athame doesn't intervene to save the best of Her servants, what good is She? I used to believe I was chosen, just as some say you are. I thought I was fulfilling Her purpose for me, digging for prothean ruins, helping people. But now they're dead. It was all for nothing. Serving Athame meant nothing.
S: Maybe you have another purpose. I could help you find it.
L: No, this is my burden. I regret that I even let you see me like this. It was a moment of weakness. It won't happen again. Come. To work then. We will speak later.

As Spork said, I pointed out that we have lightning rune on different daggers and there were names above our heads, so it wasn't that hard.
Besides, hearing Isabela talk with Isabela would be worth any confusion.
"Looking good, sweet thing." "I know, sweet thing." ![]()
They turned out really well. I was happy to oblige, but I think you may want to replace "waiting" with "staying alive long enough" because quite often I didn't stay alive much longer than that
I'm glad you like them.
Hey, you were perfectly fine through zone 1-4. It's zone 5 that I had to solo most of the time, but I'm not complaining. I could troll commanders as much as I wanted
Thank you

Today I returned from scouting the Emerald Graves. It's a lovely place.

Lovely. Tell me, how did you tweak them graphics
*String of expletives* computer. I'm really trying to do heartburn early this time, for once, and the. computer's. doing. weird. stuff. It's probably just getting ready to BSOD again, no biggie, but when the graphics start looking really fast, but sped-up looking, with jumps and stuff, I'm a litle leery. I'll be just emptying some cache and logging off to let the system cool down or something. Maybe I should go get some exercise or find that online supplier for really fresh, moist vanilla beans my bartender friend was telling me about, but I think it's time for me to walk away from the computer for a while.
