Phrona's adventures continue. I would be way further in her story if not for distraction called multiplayer. Either way...

 

After visiting Val Royeaux time had come to find some allies. Phrona thought that it would be nice to meet with Templars, but they disappeared. So while Leliana was working her magic, she decided to meet Redcliff mages. 

On their way Solas started to talk about elven artifacts. Team cosisting of Phrona, Varric, Vivienne and Solas made small detour.

After that small field trip team returned to what they were doing. On their way Vivienne grabbed Circle book, they found smuggler letter and body of dead templar who was supposed to meet with his brother. But Phrona was absorbed by something else.

Time had come to enter Redcliff, but it wasn't easy. Some strange rift appeared in front of gates and Phrona became suspicious. The fact that no one expected them didn't help.

Gereon Alexius tried really hard to make Phrona even angrier, but his son Felix suceeded in distracting her.

He wanted to warn her about something... but she was too pissed off to even consider meeting with him in the Chantry. After recruiting Tranquil, she left Redcliff. With Vivienne's help she persuaded Enchanter Ellandra to join...

While finishing some quests in Hinterlands, Leliana finished her task. Now that enough influence was gathered... time to meet with Templars.

 

Phrona's meeting with Templars and what came next is story for another occasion. I love Champions of the Just and I'll take my sweet time completing this quest... and making screenshots.

Does anyone else have this  problem? Each time I go to the Emporium for whatever reason the audio sounds off and when I get back to whatever area the audio is completely mute causing my console to lock up and having to shut it off and restart. This started after the latest patch/update I downloaded

I play with headphones, so I never know if it's my cheap headphones or a digital issue, but periodically, the sound on one of the channels just cuts out.  Sometimes the game will be completely mute, sometimes just minus one or the other channel.  It's never the same one, right or left, but it's usually the same line of dialogue, which is what makes me wonder about bugs rather than cheap equipment.  Sometimes, it will be very barely audible.  Another weirdness.  I have no problem believing BE causes a game glitch, but I haven't noticed an increase in this phenomenon since the latest patch.

*String of expletives* computer.  I'm really trying to do heartburn early this time, for once, and the. computer's. doing. weird. stuff.  It's probably just getting ready to BSOD again, no biggie, but when the graphics start looking really fast, but sped-up looking, with jumps and stuff, I'm a litle leery.  I'll be just emptying some cache and logging off to let the system cool down or something.  Maybe I should go get some exercise or find that online supplier for really fresh, moist vanilla beans my bartender friend was telling me about, but I think it's time for me to walk away from the computer for a while.

I've been having similar audio glitches in MP lately. Have to exit out of the game and restart Origin to fix it. Can't leave the game before the operation is over though, or xp and gold is forfeit  ... Like Magdalena, I use headphones when I play. They're new and they're a USB plug-in instead of an audio jack, which is a first time thing for me too.. so I dunno if it's the headphones or not.

Today MP was a real pain.  I wanted to level up my Avvar and Keeper, so that I could promote them, (which I eventually did) but oh was everything buggy/glitchy. Once I even ended up in Narnia, which was the point where I decided to go to SP. 

 

Bruce wasn't in the mood for Vinsomer, so he went to the Emprise with Sera, Cassandra and Dorian to fight Hivernal. The fight took them 20 minutes, but eventually they did it and Bruce could loot her remains.

After the fight Bruce and the team went back to the Tower Camp to take a break. When they went back over the bridge to fight the Red Templars, Bruce saw a shadow and heard a roar, so he looked up and saw....

Well, that Dragon has a fight comming, but not just yet, first Bruce closed the last two Rifts.

 

 

And then made his way to the last Red Templar group, sadly they were stronger than he thought.

 

 

The team sadly didn't survive, when I looked at the skill bar I saw why.

No potions left.

So Aidan's been wandering around The Hissing Wastes sorting out Venatori and searching out Dwarven Hisrtory. I've had him take team YOLO to try to get the Bull/Dorian romance to trigger. It hasn't happened yet but they've had a few banters so I'm hopeful. I only really took one screenshot of note, as I don't tend to screengrab "normal" fights...

Tanith and the Inquisition have a new home: Skyhold. Haven is buried under an avalanche. She wants to be a Rift Mage so that means heading first to the Exalted Plains (blech) because she's got a grand total of 0 Venatori tomes at the moment, despite killing two prominent mages for her not-yet-best-friend Dorian. Those two goons didn't have anything of note on them. But of course she's already got 3 wisps and 3 Nevarran skulls for the other two specializations.  
 
Ah, finally! The second batch from Saturday is uploaded! Took about half a dozen attempts....sheesh. But, yay for pictures!

So, backtracking a bit: Tanith's freaky mind-trip at Therinfal Redoubt. Why does the inside of her head look like the Fade???

And, the fallout, which actually wasn't as bad as I was expecting. The reaction was, imo, better than if you bring the Templars in as allies. Plus, a surprise visitor!

Not much to report. Was mainly on TOKYO TWILIGHT GHOST HUNTERS since I finished and returned J STARS VS +. Nice to see you posting again eggplantred. I like your posts like everyone elses.

 

@Forsythia77: I noticed you started "unfinsihed busineses" and killed that guy in the Hinderlands. I was like "oh ok good" because For Malaioniss i killed him on literally my first trip to Hinderlands back at level 4-8 and haven't gotten that mission yet he was never chalked off my list. i was like "WTF" and filed it over to 'technical issues' and BIOWARE heard my message apparently because a day or two after I posted the message i found him respawned (which he never did until after the message post) and I killed him again and a respawned henchman of his which i killed again.

 

PS: i did say "Unfinished businesses"....Just trying to reference BIG HIT. Lol. I like coming up with gag mission titles for this game.

 

I didn't kill him - at least not in that screenie.  They totally didn't spawn!  So I left.. I fast traveled to another camp and came back and they were still not there, so then I went and killed the templars in the exalted plains and the mages in the emprise and came back and they were there.  I really think they were just out hunting for lunch!! 

 

Zoey went to the the Arbor Wilds today.  After much debate, she drank from the well.  Since she is Dalish, she really wanted to drink from the well to gain the knowledge of her ancestors to pass that along to her clan (I managed to not get them killed in those war table missions).  After that it was revealed that Captain Janeway Flemeth is actually Mythal. 

 

Then she had to fight a level 24 dragon.  Silly Zoey forgot to swap out her fire staff for her ice staff and that made the fighting of the dragon that much more difficult.   It was hairy for a bit, and the health grenades were flying to keep Dorian, Varric and Iron Bull conscious, but the dragon was made to  come to heel  (to be fair, I only ever drank from the well once before and didn't remember said dragon was a fire dragon). 

 

Didn't take any screenies today.  Ah well!

I'm playing on hard (I'm also overleveled, as you can tell, I'm level 24).  Last time I tamed the dragon was on normal as a DW Rogue.  My NM run was a human mage and I figured she had no business drinking from that thing

 

I also think I could have saved myself from grief if I had swapped out Dorian for Cass (Dorian and Zoey are both necromancers, but Dorian is Fire and Zoey is Lightning).  I bring Bull around since he is Zoey's LI - yeah I am that girl.  Dragging my love interest around Thedas.

Another update on Alessandra II's story. 

 

Part III: A Fallen Left Hand

 

Upon returning to Skyhold after the events of the winter palace, Alessandra noticed Josephine speaking to one of the Chantry Reverend Mothers about the election of a new Divine. Although she detested the Chantry, Alessandra's interest peaked when the Reverend Mother mentioned Cassandra and Leliana were among the candidates. Obviously, the Inquisitor refused to support Cassandra, but Leliana was a different matter.

 

Heading up to the rookery, Alessandra found her spymaster gazing at Andraste's shrine in deep thought. At first, Leliana wasn't sure about becoming Justinia's successor, but hearing the Inquisitor's encouragement made her consider it carefully.

 

Moving on, Leliana received a letter from the late Divine about travelling to Valence. She knew of Justinia's last words to her, "I'm sorry. I failed you too." from Alessandra's report from Adamant, but still didn't understand its meaning. Therefore, she went with the Inquisitor to find out.

 

Arriving in Valence's Chantry, Alessandra didn't waste time getting down to business which amused the spymaster greatly.

While walking through the grand hall, Leliana was a little surprised to see her old friend, Sister Natalie present. They hugged and Natalie was introduced to the Inquisitor, but Alessandra brushed her off. There was obviously something amiss with the Sister.

Leliana told Natalie that they were trying to find something that Justinia left for her. So, after uncovering a few clues, they found a small treasure box hidden in a secret vault. Then Leliana made her move on Natalie. She and Alessandra knew the Sister was lying the whole time the moment she appeared. It was clear she was a spy for Grand Cleric Victoire.

The inquisitor noted that if they let Natalie go, she'd run back to the Grand Cleric. Natalie defiantly defended herself daring Leliana to kill her. Alessandra's lips curled into a feral grin as she gave her spymaster the order.

Natalie stared at Leliana. "I see what you've become. You're just like her," she calmly said noting the Inquisitor. But her words were cut short when the Left Hand slashed the Sister's throat.

When the deed was done, Leliana and Alessandra recovered the small box. At first, there wasn't anything of value, except for an engraved message from Justinia. Leliana was more confused, but after the Inquisitor clarified it, she understood.

Back in Skyhold, Alessandra was pleased to see her ruthless spymaster taking matters into her own hands. Although it took time and little effort, her transformation was complete. 

 

She never needed to be saved. Only directed to a path of no return. However, I have more in store for you, my dear Leliana...

As the Inquisitor left the rookery, an agent hurriedly caught up with her to deliver a report sent from Josephine. It was about the allied Grey Warden's fate during a darkspawn battle in the mines after defeating Marquise Buffon. They perished when the mines collapsed, but did their duty. Alessandra smiled in satisfaction. Foolish until the end... The Grey Wardens are no more...

Today I discovered just how much ass the mabari dog can kick.

I was on my way to save a little girl in exchange for the right magical words to awaken Shale, but dealing with a ton of darkspawn in a small room is no easy task.

My team got killed quickly. So what did I do? I just stuck with controlling the dog the entire time.

They never stood a chance.

Oh, and I just love Shale's sarcasm.

Yeah, occasionally I let the LI sit one out, so I can do Inner Circle quests, but that's it. Feels weird to leave them at home

I admit it wasn't always easy to take Alistair with me when I was playing my 2h warrior Cousland in Origins - like when someone 'locked' a place and I needed Leliana to open locks and Wynne to heal (because Zevran and Morrigan refused to learn their respective roles), there wasn't room for Ali. But I did take him everywhere I could.

Mage-Hawke romancing Anders was the same, but fortunately Merrill didn't require too much attention...

 

And after Anders had his fireworks in chantry, I didn't have any LI in any playthrough since then. (one origins and two DA2) Until I met certain commander of Inquisition forces... but he can't go with me...

 

But I plan to romance Iron Bull with my Qunari mage and I probably will take him with me everywhere (do you know the two Qunari go to Orlesian party joke?) so I guess I can join the club too...
