Wandering aimlessly around Hinterlands isn't that bad. Well, I did... a thing... or two... Mainly turning in quests I completed previously, but didn't turn in, waiting for Sera and Cole approval 

Either way...

Phrona and the party dealth with problematic groups - rebel mages and rogue templars. It wasn't easy task, but after some fights...

...and after finding some blankets, hunting rams and getting a healer, Vale's Irregulars were established.

While in Hinterlands, it was time to get used to two-handed combo, Phrona and Bull. As her future LI I'm planning to drag him around almost all the time.

Rift near farm had to be dealth with. As lvl 9 with lvl 8 party members there was only one way to approach it. Time for reinforcements!

Since I really wanted to reach Valammar before IYHSB, but I really didn't want to fight 5+ bears, Sera took initiative. Stealth, leave idiots behind, leave stealth, repeat. I had to fight only one bear (because it had to appear while I was fighting bandits near their fort). 

Except for that... you know Hinterlands. Quest here, quest there. Master Dennet  So, just like every trip to Hinterlands.

This is awesome. The Scarface armor. That explains how tough the gangmembers appear. I can move easily. But most of all the weapon. The damage I can do. The shield is just as good too. Now I take on anything without worrying about myself. I also realize I can't get too overconfident. If I'm not paying attention, I could be seriously injured or worst. I see Diplomat and think now would be a cood time to ask her about her kissing me.

me: Yes. What's with you kissing me?
Diplomat: When I first met you, I felt a tingle in my body that gave me shivers. I find you a very attractive person.
me: Well. I'm flattered. I will say I find you attractive as well. I just recall when we met that you would have my family kidnapped if I didn't cooperate
Diplomat: Yes. Well. It never came to that, so you don't need to worry especially now that you're part of the gang. I have to see about some nobles. We will speak later.

Mmmm. I see nothing wrong with pursuing a relationship with her. I just have see what time will do. I wonder what the reaction would be from Sniper. She's been wanting to have her way with me since we met.

I take Fashioner, Blocker and Sniper to Crestwood to meet this Grey Walnut. In town we see demons and undead fighting the townsfolk. The Mayor says I need to drain the lake to get to the rift.

After draining the lake, a dragon is seen flying by. We all agree to fight the dragon after dealing with the Grey Walnut. There's Champion.

Champion: This is my friend, Studebaker. This is the Handler who can help.
Studebaker: Good to meet you Handler. When Champion told that she killed Lavaface, my gang thought the matter was put to rest. Apparently he merged with a darkspawn possessed by a demon. What he's doing is calling all the Walnuts to their doom. They believe that if they don't help Lavaface, they will all perish.
me: Calling? What calling?
Studebaker: When someone joins the gang, we drink liquid dope. What it does is let us tell who is a Walnut and who isn't. Some how Lavaface knows this and is using it to his advantage.
me: Crap. Where are they now?
Studebaker: They're here in the Western Approach at some old ruins. I will meet you there.

Ok. Before we head to the Western Approach, we have to deal with the dragon.

The dragon spits shockballs. Fashioner uses her dispel on the dragon. Time to slice and dice. Haha. Oooo. That had to hurt. It starts flapping its wings. That sucks. I just had my hair done earlier. Time for some payback. Sniper does her back flip arrow shot that puts the dragon down. Dead. Lets head back to Crimeboss Fortress to update Scarface.

I chose similar dialogue during the crowning scene, and  laughed when Vivienne and Cassandra disapproved.

 

 

I was watching some videos (MP and SP) that showed dragon rage and rampage. The animations look cool with the fiery claws that I've seen. Can't wait to unlock those for Alessandra II, but she looks awesome when she uses devour 

Won't be my current game, but the one after, where I'll be playing my Lavellan Reaver. Can't wait to say things like, "Are you insane?" during a crowning ceremony.

It's late and I need to get  to bed, so I won't share many screenshots now, but I will say that it was hilarious to hear a Qunari mage in Arishok gear getting called "Herald of Andraste". The neck join is visible but not as bad as on some screenshots I've seen. I'll put up with it...

Sometimes it's the little things that burn you inside the most.

I still can't get over the fact that I didn't pick the dialogue option "If one retains one's humanity, one is not an abomination" while talking to Wynne.

Every hero needs to have some memorable quotes, you know. And this is a really cool one.

Aaaand I missed it.

My other roleplay regret is being too friendly towards humans with my Dalish elf. I mean, in the beginning of the game.

This person who never had contact with humans before is suddenly thrown into their midst and everything goes smooth as silk?

So, yesterday Tanith closed the rift under Crestwood lake and that was it. The mage-quisition spent the night in the caverns trying to figure out a way through the "bash only" door. Seriously, if a warrior can kick something in with one leg, 4 mages should be able to blow it to bits, right? But nooooo.....we must have "gamey" requirements for a balanced party.

The wheel to open the dam totally glitched on me. One set of spokes moved, the other set stayed put.

Not a good game glitch.  I finally got around to starting Crestwood, and stopped by the site in East Side Hills where you get an assassin token.  Elissa explored the pier, and Bull walked right off, took heavy damage, and literally started drowning, as in glug, glug, glug.  The game also froze and required ending through the task manager.  Here's a screen I took before I took control of Bull.

 

 

When I took control of Bull to try to walk him out of the swamp, bad things happened and the game locked up in a sound loop.  What a strange experience.

Ahh, one more regret to add to the pile.

I didn't speak to Lanaya before doing Nature of the Beast, and now I'll never be able to interact with her. She just says short sentences without actually engaging into dialogue.

Oh, and I skipped Cammen's quest too. Yay.

Such are the pains of the first run. You mess up a lot.

That's kinda my plan yep. SnS Reaver, Solasmance, very traditional elvish, no belief nor caring for shems and their problems, except as those problems affect The People. Gonna try to do that, anyway. Gotta finish Meghan's magequisition first, and Harold's trip through the Frostback Basin. Haven't been playing much the last few days, myself.

Oooh, he's pretty.

He's a bit more conventionally good-looking than Aidan, but he feels like my own character. With Aidan I started off trying to make him look like Nathan Fillian, failed but ended up with an interesting face that I liked.

 

With Imtiyaz, I decided to deliberately go through the same process. I thought: Who is a massive guy who could play a Qunari? The Rock! So I started off looking at pictures of Dwayne Johnson and trying to make Imtiyaz look a bit like him. After I predictably failed, I'd tweaked all the sliders enough to have a face that didn't look Rock-ish at all but didn't look like the presets, either. From that place I messed with the sliders a little more and ended up with something that I considered my own creation . It seems like a good strategy!

You can see that neck colour change quite clearly in this one. It's annoying but I can live with it, unlike the gaping hole in Bull's back...

To tell the truth this dragon is one of the meaniest ones in entire game. Seriously, she's the lowest level, yet she has every possible attack and more 

 

I decided to check if I'm in favor of RNG gods. Nope. They hate me. Whole Forbidden Oasis and I was getting low level staves. Seriously...

At least I collected enough gold to buy Axe of the Dragon Hunter Schematic from BE. Now I can happily move to IYHSB. This quest has so much screenshot potential that I'm afraid it'll take me whole day

Needed some dorfs in my life so I decided to create the siblings of my favorite Inquisitor,  Alcina Cadash.

Renrik, Doudrin, and Ferinda Cadash walked out of the Fade last night. Doudrin is the only one that will be played to completion though for a PS4 trophy.
