On my current playthrough, I'm using a sword and shield. This is the first time. I will say I dish out more damage a lot quicker than with the other classes. I'm playing on nightmare and rarely take any damage. I will update my playthrough later.
What Did You Do Today (in the DA 'verse) ? .... oops ;)

Is she going to be an elf supremacist type? Traditional, but looks down on others.
I still have to finish Demetria's (Rift Mage) run, but I've been having too much fun with Alessandra II. I'll squeeze in some game time this weekend.
Yeah that's the plan. Sera will hate her, heh. I started out playing my first elf that way, but quickly changed her outlook when I realized i wanted everyone to like me for my first game. This Lavellan will be my 6th game, and all bets are off
I just promoted -- reached the level 20 cap -- my Legionnaire SnS warrior in multi-player, and I have to agree; although it took him a while to get really not-squishy, by the end he was an absolute tank. Nothing could touch him.On my current playthrough, I'm using a sword and shield. This is the first time. I will say I dish out more damage a lot quicker than with the other classes. I'm on Win7, but my PC is like month old
Hah! Once entire Lowtown was full of flying heads! That was marvelous sight.
I had to reload the game, cause I couldn't concentrate on playing.
Oh
My old Pc was a Win7 and I couldn't even play DAO. It always crashed in the CC. ;__; So the first I did when I got my new PC with Win8.1 was playing DAO. (Hulk is a gaming PC and it makes me happy
Hulk is it's name)
OMG xD that sounds wonderful. xD I only ever had Rainbow Hightown.

That's more scary-0looking than the darkspawn we do get
That is something I agree with. ![]()

Bruce was really busy yesterday. First he confronted Kaltenzahn again. It was a hard fight that lasted 30 minutes, but this time Bruce could loot her skull.
Then Bruce went to Skyhold, cause he wanted to go to the Hissing Wasted, but Sera first wanted more fitting clothes before she'd set a single foot into the desert. Okay.
After everyone was ready they went to the Wastes, to be greeted by a misterious woman.

Bruce then went on to track the Venatori in the area.

Sera decided to show how badass she were with her bow.

Bruce found a strange eye.
And closed more Rifts.
Then they met the strange woman again. (three times actually, also I found 5 slaves I think there might be a nest)

And onward to close more Rifts~.
Watching Venatorri fighting a Lurker was funny.

And even more Rifts~.
The Venatori tried to intimidate intruders with their display of ruthlessness, but I rather took a screenshot. ![]()

After the Venatori were dealt with, Bruce took Varric, Blackwall and bull and went on the Tomb of Fairel quest, but first Varric also had to show off his skills.

The night sky is pretty. (why are they no Astrariums in the Wastes? So. Many. Stars. IMO a missed opportunity.

After they were done with the Tombs, Bruce had a new bow schematic for Sera, so he made a new bow. Wanting to give her a Superb Dragonslaying Rune he had to go back to the Wastes again, cause he didn't have enough Wyvern Poison Glands. (He was missing ONE grmbl ¬__¬)

It took some time, but eventually he got what he needed and made Sera an awesome new bow.
With the HIssing Wastes done there Bruce hasn't much left.
To Do List:
- finish the remaining Collections (Mosaics, Bottles, Songs)
- slaying Vinsomer, Sandy Howler and Highland Ravager
- The Last Piece
- Jaws of Hakkon
- Doom Upon All World
but first I'm off to the Multiplayer, it's Friday

Good to know. I played one lady Lavellan Mage once, but I deleted her after finishing some of the Hinterlands quests. I didn't like how she looked, but at least it was interesting to see her flirt and build a relationship with Solas. Most of my Inquisitors are Trevelyans, because of the extra skill point perk.

Origin and I are going to be having words. One more crash.... And I'll whine a lot and keep playing. I'm a wimp. Seriously, someone mentioned playing on Steam.
Was that you, YourFunnyUncle? Sorry, can't remember. I'm going nuts between the auto-updates for nothing I'm using and the volume crashes.
I've been running around in circles, trying to craft armor and weapons to do quests. I ought to just do the quests and collect the mats as I go.
"But I really need that stat boost in..." says the companion.
"Shove stats," says Inq. "Make do and let's do some plot stuff."
And the game crashes again.
For crying out loud. A break would be nice.

He's a bit more conventionally good-looking than Aidan, but he feels like my own character. With Aidan I started off trying to make him look like Nathan Fillian, failed but ended up with an interesting face that I liked.
With Imtiyaz, I decided to deliberately go through the same process. I thought: Who is a massive guy who could play a Qunari? The Rock! So I started off looking at pictures of Dwayne Johnson and trying to make Imtiyaz look a bit like him. After I predictably failed, I'd tweaked all the sliders enough to have a face that didn't look Rock-ish at all but didn't look like the presets, either. From that place I messed with the sliders a little more and ended up with something that I considered my own creation . It seems like a good strategy!
Those pics I snipped are making me want to roll a male qunari now. Although, considering how much I crushed on Marcus, another erm, nice-looking male pc
probably isn't the best idea I've ever had. But....so pretty! ![]()

Oh no! Sorry to hear about your troubles. I can sympathize for sure. Are you able to turn off the auto-updates for Origin? I don't like any of my software updating itself without me telling it to (I wish I could get AVG to agree with that stance
) so I have both Origin and game auto-updates unchecked.

Led coalition forces on a raid on the Hakkonite Fortress of Solitude. Experienced chills, thrills and spills in the Old Temple. Challenged Gurd Gurdleson to single combat, only to be tricked into fighting with the entire Disney Ice Capades troupe.
Several Antivan Fire and Bee grenades later, Gurd was put down for good. Had a wee chat with old Ameridan, who didn't look anything like what we were expecting. We gave him the bad news about Telana, he gave us the bad news about the dragon Hakkon.
We ran for the lake shore to do battle with the god-drake. And a talking god-drake at that! We didn't let his palaver deter us from our ... er, determination. Good thing we loaded up on more Antivan Fire and Bee grenades! So long, Hakkon! Hope your next incarnation isn't as much trouble for the Inquisition.
-------------
The Gurd Harolsen battle and the Hakkon battle were grand! Loved every minute of them. The Gurd battle was kind of like the ice troll battle, only with adds and way more hit points. Way, way more hit points. The dragon battle was fun, made for some nice variety, even if it was kind of like an ice capades version of the Fereldan Frostback.

Tanith finally got Crestwood all straightened out. No more undead, no more pretty lights in the lake, no more dragon or wyverns attacking folks willy-nilly and, best of all, no more rainstorm. Apparently the rift under the lake was creating its very own microclimate. With the rift closed, the lake water could go back to being lake water instead of rain. Also, no more mayor since he ran away after confessing to causing a massive flood 10 years before that killed many of the townspeople. Well, there will be time to hunt him down later. For now, she's got a bit more exploring to do in north Crestwood before heading back to Skyhold. Some hightlights:
Dwarfy Buddha
They came out of the caves to find the sun shining and....a rift right in their path.
So much for telling the mayor the good news.
I really like this picture....is it supposed to be Weisshaupt or some other Warden fortress?
Scenery shots
I brought Dorian just so I could hear this line.
Dragon hunt # 2....it got a bit dicey at the end but they prevailed (and I didn't have to reload
The wyvern pond, which appears to have once been an elven temple or sacred spring....

Someone did suggest once turning off the Origin in-game shortcut in the settings. Worked for me then. DAI has always been crash test dummy with me. Don't play so much now because of it. ![]()

Okay, with my Rift Mage run completed, I'm ready for my next PT! Let's check my "Ain't never done" list.
- Never played as a warrior
- Never played 2H
- Never played as a Qunari
- Never did a speedrun without glitching - goal would be to finish under 15 hours
- Never did a Nightmare run without crafting any gear (only potions and grenades)
- Never romanced Dorian
- Never did a world state where Loghain becomes a warden
So whaddya think? Does a male Qunari 2H Champion Nightmare clean speedrun with Dorian for dessert sound like a good idea? Technically, for the sake of the speedrun, I'll skip the Dorian quests and complete the main quest first, then go back to a mid-game save and do the Dorian romance. Two birds with one stone kind of deal.

Done. I completed the game in 10 hours 29 minutes on my ps3
Never did a Nightmare run without crafting any gear (only potions and grenades)
Most of my playthroughs have been on nightmare, but did craft armor and weapons
Never romanced Dorian
Neither have I. I most likely never will
Never did a world state where Loghain becomes a warden
I've done that. Left him in the fade

Sounds good, but why you guys do speed runs.... Oh well, have fun storming the castle. I guess if I was doing a speed run, I'd leave off romances. I mean, depending on who you pick, those romance cutscenes and subplots add up. If I had to give a reason, it's because I really enjoyed the Dorian romance, and I'd hate to see it rushed. Considering the variety of kissy-face scenes, though, I guess you're not missing much. Make sure to keep us posted.

It adds replay value. If every playthrough I did was taking my time enjoying the scenery I would get bored and stop playing. Its nice to change it up every now and then. At least half of all my ME playthroughs are less than 10 hours and half of those are less than 6 hours.
