Needed some dorfs in my life so I decided to create the siblings of my favorite Inquisitor,  Alcina Cadash.

Renrik, Doudrin, and Ferinda Cadash walked out of the Fade last night. Doudrin is the only one that will be played to completion though for a PS4 trophy.

I've been just playing around in the CC myself lately, to see what i could come up with. Made a new lavellan for Solas romance PT, a new Cadash for Dorian romance PT, and a new Trevelyan for Cullen romance PT... so now it's like, i don't have to spend any more time in the CC  :D   :crying:

Good to know. I played one lady Lavellan Mage once, but I deleted her after finishing some of the Hinterlands quests. I didn't like how she looked, but at least it was interesting to see her flirt and build a relationship with Solas. Most of my Inquisitors are Trevelyans, because of the extra skill point perk.

If reaver wasn't such an absolute beast in MP -- admittedly a good sword helps :P -- I probably never would have played a reaver in SP, but I've been inspired to try it. SnS instead of 2H will be a bit different though.

Okay, with my Rift Mage run completed, I'm ready for my next PT! Let's check my "Ain't never done" list.

  • Never played as a warrior

  • Never played 2H

  • Never played as a Qunari

  • Never did a speedrun without glitching - goal would be to finish under 15 hours

  • Never did a Nightmare run without crafting any gear (only potions and grenades)

  • Never romanced Dorian

  • Never did a world state where Loghain becomes a warden

So whaddya think? Does a male Qunari 2H Champion Nightmare clean speedrun with Dorian for dessert sound like a good idea? Technically, for the sake of the speedrun, I'll skip the Dorian quests and complete the main quest first, then go back to a mid-game save and do the Dorian romance. Two birds with one stone kind of deal.

2H warrior is a blast. I thoroughly enjoyed just wading in and slashing away at bad guys. When I played a mage or an archer and a fight began, Cassie/Blackwall/Bull would run toward the bad guys, challenging and warcrying and taunting and all that, and by the time they reached melee range, I'd have killed the bad guys already. I headcanoned getting lots of dirty looks from them all the time :P ... anyway, playing as a warrior the shoe is on the other foot, and mage + Varric/Sera often killed all the bad guys before I could get to them. I LOL'ed when that happened... and took Cole everywhere instead

Playing as a qun'ari gives a fun perspective on things. I really got a kick out of everyone having to look up at her when they talked. The Winter Palace sure made me want to crack some orlesian skulls though  Just sayin'

I really really liked the Inquisition version of Loghain. Best warden choice out of the three in my opinion (sorry gottaloveme :P

So, does anyone know if Blackwall's Greatsword is actually obtainable through normal means and not HAX engine?

Looking at it on the wiki...

http://dragonage.wik...s_(Inquisition)

it doesn't seem to be all that great a sword  and there is no listing for where to acquire it. Add to that the fact that Blackwall is a SnS warrior by default, and I'd say you need to cheat it in.

:'( That sucks. Even if it's a crap sword, it is the sword he has during his recruit mission. I wants it!!! Too bad that the sword design is not a schematic so that I can just rename it

Weird that he's holding it like a 1H sword if it's classed as a greatsword? ... Have you looked at all the sword schematics? Maybe one of them looks like that sword?

Hmm... next time i fire up the game, I'll see what I have. I usually buy every schematic I don't find -- if I can afford them -- whether or not I actually use them, heh. If I do find it, don't ask me where I got it :D ... or, you know, maybe someone else will know it.

So - Sorcha was off doing her own thing and we went on adventures with Meg. She turned into liquorice and refused to come out her tent and so now we have Ellis.

I'm playing 2h qunari Champion right now  :P

S&S warrior is unstoppable. With right timing you can easily stop every enemy attack. And it's hella fun.

During my nightmare run I crafted gear only once - new carta outfit for my Cadash. But well, when you're an assassin archer... It's not like enemy can hit you

I'm on this with Spork, Loghain is the best Warden choice.

In my opinion Champion is definitely good spec for nightmare. As for the rest... I've never done real speedrun and I'll probably never will, so I can't really tell if it's good combination.

Same happened when I was playing my Cadash. I really felt like stabbing a noble or two  <_<

*high five* I see we agree on that! I did playthrough with Loghain just to try it and Loghain turned out to be my favourite warden.

Quick question. It's about chess scene with Cullen after siding with templars. Anyone had it before officialy recruiting Dorian?

Well, I had, but I just want to know how many of you know about small difference between Dorian yet to be recruited versus Dorian recruited.

Yep, Stroud is basically a nobody... I mmean, no impact as far as I'm concverned. i get where he and Hawke could be buddies, but other than that? meh. Alistair just seemed really bitter, like he just didn't have any fun at all over the last eleven years. Loghain is like, "I've seen it all, I've done it all, it can't get any worse for me. I'm ready for what comes next." and he's a perfect candidate to leave in the Fade.

I didn't even know you could get the chess match before recruiting Dorian  How is it different?

Different person he verses in the chess scene if you get it to happen before recruiting Dorian. (so doing templars rather then mages and getting the scene to happen before you first talk to Dorian at Skyhold)

Stroud makes sense only if Bethany/Carver is Grey Warden. But except for that? They met once, for a brief moment. And since in most of my world states Carver is templar, I feel strange when Hawke talks about her 'friend'.

Oh crap, it's gonna have to wait :P ... I'm going with mages this time and I want to recruit Dorian early for the magequsition.  <_<  In fact I'm just about to go to Redcliffe for the first time in my current game... Oh well, something to look forward to next game

I've set up a couple mageHawke worldstates in the DA Keep, but I only ever played a mageHawke once, and in that game Carver died on the deep roads expedition because jerky-annoying-little-brother reasons. And I always made Bethany a warden, so Stroud and Hawke had that connection. It's still not much of one either way, but it's something.

I love mage Hawke and I prefer Carver over Bethany. And he almost always ends up as templar. I believe I made him a warden once.

I acutally think my DA2 history looks like that:

- warden Bethany

- dead Bethany

- circle Bethany

- warden Carver

- dead Carver

- templar Carver

- templar Carver

- templar Carver

...

Yeah, I really prefer templar Carver

Jeez...

I couldn't remember them all, heh. Not like that.

I like RogueHawke the best. The DW animations are so much fun to watch. So i get bethany most of the time, which is okay by me. I sent her to the Circle once, and all the other times she was a warden. I was playing a game of DA2 just before Inquisition was released. I was playing a mageHawke and planned on letting Carver join the Templars. I was gonna try and build a good relationship with the guy for a change. I was quite enjoying that PT, and I got into act 2 before Inquisition arrived ...and I just never got back to it. And it's gone now. I lost all my saved games across all my games in the great hard drive reformat of '14. Bad year for hard drives, that one :P

I'm just sure about sibling thing, not actual order :P

Oh yeah. DW animation in DA2 is amazing. It was great shock for me to play DA2 after DAO. Though the greatest shocker was mage animation.

You should try it again. I really like doing MoA and Legacy after he joins templars

I can pretty much be on friendly terms with templar Carver even as pro-mage Hawke. Side note: I think you can actually max out warden Carver friendship as pro templar Hawke. That's 155 friendship points to gather for 1 act and 1 dlc. Another side note: my canon Hawke is pro mage mage with templar brother on friendship path
