Everyone in this thread will be supporting you when you start that nightmare playthrough. You can do it. Overcome your fear. Its your destiny.
Remember long ago when that kid took your french fry? You were very mad. Get that same anger and do the nightmare playthrough and don't let that kid win again. That anger will be your fuel for kicking the baddies back to where they came from. But most of all, do it for your Inquisitor. Show Thedas that the Inquisitor can't be bullied and can handle anything no matter how tough.
Ok. Now get out there and do it.
Ohhh yeah, I remember that kid. When I do my NM run -- I'm thinking maybe next game, with my SnS Lavellan -- I will dedicate every dead demon, templar, vint, creature and dragon to that kid, mister french fry thief. You're a good motivator, Mike
In Your Heart Shall Burn with Phrona. Part 1.
As I suspected, this quest (with some following companion talks) took me... Let me check... 5 hours That's a lot, but I was on great Red Lyrium Dragon hunt, so it's not suprising. I took my standard party for this quest - Cassandra, Varric and Vivienne. Cassandra because I like to see her in her gear during cutscenes (yeah, I know, amazing reason), Vivienne for approval and Varric for approval plus that small scene after you fire trebuchet

In Your Heart Shall Burn with Phrona. Part 2.
Picking up a story from part 1. The one to blame for me posting this in two posts is Spork. I asked 'should I reduce my screenshots even more or post in two parts'? The answer was 'post in two parts'... Sorry Spork, someone has to be the scapegoat
-- snip --
Great screenies, and totally worth the second post. I'll be the scapegoat, sure. I've always felt that if someone has a story to tell, then it doesn't matter to me if it takes one post, two posts or five posts
...The story is the thing, so just tell it!
Anyway, I liked the dragon sitting on the chantry, Phrona's first look at Skyhold, the most effective way to get attention and your new Hawke
I accidentally discovered that Stone Fist works just like warrior bash. Now I just need a way past those pesky locked doors without having a rogue in the party....
Excellent. Good find. Now the magequisition won't have to skip the temple of Dirthamen. (I think that's the one where you have to bash a wall down to get through it).
Mwahahaha - my job here is done!
Well, nooo not really
You don't get away that easy
Your job here is never done... and really, it's more like a vacation than a job
I cast dispel and spell purge on the green bubbly stuff before the wave of demons appear. Doing it after they come doesn't work.
Yup, same here. There just never seemed to be a shortage of the tougher demons after I cast it. Good thing I don't gamble much.
Oh, no, gotta take advantage of dispel, especially if you give the mages the first passive in the fire tree too. If you've got two templars and two mages, you can stop the second wave just about every time, and even with one mage, it gets a lot easier. Just pause when the ruptures first form between rifts and order everyone to do something. With my 2H templar, I could set Dorian (LI) with 2 dispels (even better if the ruptures were close to others), and meanwhile take out one rupture with charging bull and another with spell purge. I make everyone try to destroy the things, then clear commands when the rift opens, if there's anything left.
I'm actually thinking of turning it up to nightmare for a while this time, to see how combat is, since I've checked the difficulty setting a couple times to see if it's still on hard. Maybe I'll give it a try and see if my potions supply can take it.
Thank you! I knew i liked you. See that, you guys? Someone appreciates the benefits of dispelling rifts

I'm going to let my female Lavellan rest for a while because I went back to my mage Trevelyan who already beat Corypheus, in order to start Jaws of Hakkon.
I realized some things:
1. I hadn't captured Griffon Keep in The Western Approach
2. I had barely set foot in The Hissing Wastes, I haven't done much there
I was not prepared for the first rift in Frostback Basin, my party was underleveled. I had Cole and Iron Bull with me, and they were both knocked out, leaving Dorian and the Inquisitor to take care of everything. We were actually able to take control of the situation and win, but shame on you, Iron Bull. What can you say to that? Pretty sure Dorian would make some snarky comments about the situation.
I will have to take better control of Bull and Cole next time and be more careful in general, but this took me by surprise.
I did not get the chance to flirt with Bull on every possible occasion. There were two times when I didn't even get the option to flirt, even though I saw others who did get it. One of those times was when you're drinking with him.
I think it's because the game had locked me up with Dorian very fast, and I hadn't realized... So I had to break up with him (it was horrible, I will make it up to him in another playthrough) to trigger having Bull coming to my room.
Kudos to Bull for being respectful of that relationship that my Inquisitor was not even aware he had with someone else.
That first rift in the Frostback basin as a good one for that 'Oh sh*t!' moment when you realize this ain't like the rifts back home in the lowlands, heh.
So between my last post, and this one Kyrrah had a ton of fun in the Temple of Mythal, taming a dragon and killing Cory. I did end up taking over 150 screenshots, tryign to share a minimum out of those 3 little events... ... I have a screenshot taking problem I think (I take a bit too many)
So Kyrrah also decided it would be a good idea to wear a belly-dancing outfit to a war, but whatever floats her boat I guess.
-- snip --
That's it, all boring I know.
I've now officially finished my 14th main game playthrough. Kyrrah does still have to punch Hakkon in the Jaw but she can do that later.
Kyrrah looks great in the qun'ari armor
... Meghan hasn't made it back to Haven yet since I got the armor, so I haven't tried it on her yet. I kinda want to wait til I get to Skyhold anyway, so I can re-tint it.
