The Final Piece

for once I only edited two pictures and left the rest how they were.

The Final Piece 1

Bruce was walking through the Garden when he saw that the door to the Eluvian was wide open.

Spoiler

Inside was Leliana, worrying about Morrigan, who had run into the Eluvian, after her son.
Spoiler

Bruce didn't hesitate and walked into the Eluvian, just to be surprised, when he didn't exit in the Cross Roads, but the Fade. After the first shock he walked around until he found Morrigan.
Spoiler

Morrigan was worried sick. Bruce had never seen her like this.
Spoiler

The Final Piece 2

Of course Bruce decided to help her find her son. So they walked through the Fade until they found him and Oh! Who's that?
Spoiler

The Final Piece 3

Kieran and a woman did something strange, about which Morrigan wasn't happy.
Spoiler

That was when Bruce discovered that that woman was Morrigan's mother.
Spoiler

Morrigan tried to attack her mother, but she was prepared.
Spoiler

The Final Piece 4

It took Morrigan's mother only a movement of her hand to stop Morrigan's attack. Who was very confused about it.
Spoiler

Turned out, Morrigan's mother was Mythal, sort of, which was very hard to believe for Bruce.

Spoiler

Spoiler

The Final Piece 8

Morrigan then begged her mother to posses herself and not her son. Thinking he would be better off without her, as she was better off without her mother. The last part made Flemeth sad..

I have begun a new journey in Thedas, and it's gonna be a nightmare.

Good luck! :) Remember, when all else fails, it's ok to hide behind Cassandra.  :P

Bruce found a Tier 3 Keeper schematic in the Dragon's head and of course went to the crafting table at once.

Spoiler

 Too funny! Does his mom think of him as a boy of 5 years old, like Dorian's does? 'Cause that pic makes him look pretty young.

And, how do you have 0 items in your inventory??

Oh, of course. She also always makes him Elf Cookies when he comes home.  Bruce is supposed to be 23, so yeah, he's a pretty young Inquisitor.

The first thing I do, when I get back to Skyhold after a mission, is putting every blue, or purple weapon/armor/rune into the chest in the Undercroft and everything else which I don't need get's sold.  With that my inventory is always empty when I go on my next mission.   :D

Had a blast trying out Alessandra II's Reaver abilities on the battlefield earlier today. I unlocked dragon rage, a passive and upgraded both ring of pain and devour when she reached level 17. The thing with dragon rage, it eats up a lot of health, but I equipped her with superb ring of life drain and superb belt of healing. She also has a heal on kill on her sword. But holy sh!t she's a monster! Every baddie doesn't stand a chance and she drinks their blood to replenish her health! I love it!  B)

Alessandra also got two dragon kills under her belt. The one in Crestwood and the Abyssal High Dragon in the Western Approach. The stupid part was after killing the Abyssal High Dragon, it exploded, but I didn't get the loot. So, I had to reload my last save and fight the darn thing again!

Story wise, Alessandra's dark influence spreads. As a preview, let's just say it involves a certain ex Templar. That'll be on the next update. I have screen caps saved ;)

ISo the nightmare journey begins. I'm excited about it. We'll see how long that lasts, heh. Likely until the first time I'm facing a templar with a shield and my sword just bounces off him <_< But... that french fry thief will not swipe one more delicious golden-brown potato slice from my plate!

Maker, this I vow.

Elissa, the most BA dual-wielding tempest Lavellan I've made yet, just finished the Abyss, and she looked awesome when she emerged from the rift victorious.

 -- snip --

In any event, time to claim keep #2 and finish up the Plains.

Elissa definitely has that, "don't mess with me" look that is so important for an Inquisitor to have.

Joanne 'Handler' Trevelyan

Back at Crimeboss Fortress, Scarface listens as we tell her about what the Grey Walnut told about the whereabouts of the rest of the Walnuts. She tells me to go to the Western Approach.

Boy its hot here. Scout Heartless gives me the brief.  We see a dragon fly away in the distance. Not sure if we'll be fighting that one. Lets worry about that later.

There's Studebaker and Champion

Spoiler

After defeating the Walnuts and demons, Studebaker and Champion head to Hotel 6 where the rest of the Walnuts may be located. They will meet us back at Crimeboss Fortress

Scarface orders an attack on the Hotel 6. Diplomat mentions a few noble houses will lend us their sling shots and people to help. She even mentions that some of the Walnuts may stand down is persuaded. TOO WAR

This is Hotel 6. Whatever. We fight the Walnuts and demons. Some Walnuts stand down. There's the Commander of the Walnuts. Sorry looking person. And standing next to Lord Lactose. They deserve each other. What's this? Digger the pet is here. Ok. Fight the demons while running from the Digger. Hey! Did you see that. Digger ate the Walnut Commander. How cool is that? Now I'm falling this can't be good. Lets see what this mark can do.

Where are we? Sniper is having hissy fits. The others take it in stride. This is the Fade. You mean I can disappear? Cool. Lets move. Need to find an exit. Who's that?

Spoiler

We follow the directions the Pope gave us. Sure enough we fight the 2 large demons. There's the area and the door to the left. Yuck. The Daymare is really ugly. Lets fight. It puts up a good fight, but falls in the end. I walk around collecting my memories. It was the Walnuts all along who helped Lavaface leading to the death of the Pope. Feeling bad for what his gang has done, Studebaker stays behind while we leave.

With the demon army dealt with, I tell the Walnuts to help us or risk being cracked. Champion bids her goodbye. She mentions something about being with her pirate Queen

Lord Lactose  I heard that everybody he meets can't tolerate him for very long...

Nightmare's not so tough, Spork! You can do it! :) Actually Aidan, Solvi and Imtiyaz are all nightmare playthroughs and I don't find it too difficult, really. You need to be careful with your crafting, builds and battle strategy, but that's part of the fun for me. :)

Thank you :) At the very least I'm gonna enjoy trying. Battle strategy is were I'll have the most growing pains I think, because on casual you don't really need a strategy other than making sure your mage has the right staff to fight the dragon with... which, now that I think about it, I failed fairly often at doing  *ahem* The other thing about casual, is that failing that didn't matter, you could still win the day, heh. i've develpoed some lazy combat habits playing casual. Something I'm constantly noticing in multiplayer heh.

Rascoth has already talked with me a bit about the importance of healing potions and other things, but any advice anyone has is always welcome :)

My own personal basic advice (and I do not by any means claim my way to be the only way) is build your tanks to draw aggro and soak damage, not to do damage themselves. When you see a bunch of enemies, go in with your tank first even if it isn't the Inquisitor (for me it's usually Cass) and try to taunt as many enemies as you can. Craft armour for the tank with lots of melee defence and later with either fade touched obsidian/silverite for the guard bonus or Paragon's Luster/Dawnstone for Walking Fortress. Put defensive Fade Touched materials on sword and shield too. Then you have a focal point for enemies that draws their ire and won't go down.

Make sure that your mages and rogues have the passive abilities that diminish aggro, and have them focus on knocking out other mages and rogues (who can do damage more quickly but also go down more easily) before attacking enemy warriors. The idea is that melee fighters don't come near them due to the tank so armour with ranged/magic defence is good. Also Fade Touched materials with whatever deadly attack you favour. I like hidden blades and chain lightning. Dual Wield rogues can be absolutely deadly but they do need more careful controlling as they get up close and personal with melee characters more often.

That's my basic strategy. There are nuances depending on party composition but that's more or less how I like to play. It generally works well for me at least.

This is gold! Thank you. I'm planning on my inquisitor being a reaver, so she'll be geared more towards doing damage than soaking it up. But, I do want her to be able to stay on her feet too. Even on casual PTs I put FT-Silverite in inky's armor, so i'm used to doing that. Was thinking about, since I'm playing a reaver, about some heal-on-kill, and heal-on-hit stuff as well. I noticed Photojenn8 mentioning that in her earlier post.  I hadn't planned on using Cole so much this time around, so I'll (hopefully) have an easier time with keeping Sera/ Varric alive. famous last words

I must admit that I don't use two handers much, which is what Reaver seems to be geared towards, but I suspect that like a DW rogue, if that's your Inquisitor and you're controlling them more you should be OK and they'll be capable of dealing devastation. I'd suggest still having a tank like Cass or Blackwall in your party, having them draw aggro and then destroying things quickly with your Reaver.

Superb Ring of Life-Drain is what you're looking for. It's perfect for reaver (hell, it's perfect for every Quizzy). I agree with YourFunnyUncle that having good tank is really important. Though as I was telling you yesterday my playstyle was slightly different.

And share some Fade Touched Silverite with me, ok  :crying:

In that case I'd imagine that crafting weapons/armour with Heal on Kill is very useful for Reavers. Unlike with rogues/mages you can't diminish aggro for them so having them regain health on killing would seem a good strategy.

It's gonna be a bit different for me because my reaver will be a SnS style warrior, not 2H, so she'll be quite capable of being a good tank... She will be. I dunno if I will be  ...and then once I get reaver specialization I can respec her abilities and see what works best.

Yeah, as a warrior Reaver has no way of dropping aggro as mages and rogues have. Reaver has Devour, but I'm afraid if fight gets too heated it may not be enough.

It's dropped by Northern Hunter. For a Reaver I would go with one offensive and one defensive masterwork. Also Belt of Light seems like good accessory for Reaver.

Something that I found helpful is target prioritizing. There are targets that you want out of picture as soon as you spot them.

You know, I had kind of given up on taking Bull out as a two handed warrior after he seemed quite squishy to me on my first playthrough, but this has given me some ideas about how to build him. Solvi's a sword/board tank who has only just arrived at Skyhold. She's going to be romancing Sera again because I love that romance so much... Maybe I should go back to her game for a bit and see how she gets on with team YOLO. Maybe go to Crestwood and get that Superb Ring of Life Drain for Bull... Hmmm...

He's kinda squishy, that's true. That's why I always give him Unbowed (priority) and he seems to stay alive... most of the time.

And he's not that bad as s&s. Had him as one in 3 playthroughs.

Yeah I tend to build him as a sword/board  tank and just ignore the Reaper stuff. He actually works out quite well that way, but I'd be interested to see if I can make him work as he is "designed" to work...
