ok that's one of the best little tales I've read in a while. What a cruel warden (but hilarious when it's not one of mine)

I've found it's easier to get the special lockpicking skill if I recruit as many available agents as possible. Also, I made an earlier mistake in choosing an unnecessary perk. So going back to recruit Ritts and redo the perks would be worthwhile in the long run. Before I get the special armors DLCs I want to replay the game up until reaching Skyhold. My rogue Trevalyan will become the canon for my Dragon Keep.

Well, you need four perks in the secrets line for "deft hands" ... and there are a number of agents who can be recruited for Leliana early in the Hinterlands, and each agent you recruit for a particular advisor is the same as having a perk for that advisor.  Ritts is one of those agents, as i found out to my detriment later when i couldn't unlock all the doors I could in my first game until much later. Embarrassing too, because i was playing a rogue in my second game, heh.

Yevran Mahariel

Oh look some humans on this bridge are blocking my path to Lothering

Pay a toll you say? Clearly you've mistaken me for someone helpless

How about I kill you and take your money

That went well...well for us it did

Morrigan once you're done wiping the blood off your face be a dear and clean out that chest too

Stuff it Alistair these are hard times

Fine Alistair we will go to Redcliffe after this since you're incapable of making a decision on your own

Oh don't whine, Morrigan and I are laughing with you and not at you

Hey what's all this racket, why are you arguing with this shopkeeper

Get rid of the Chantry sister? Can you beat his offer human?

Hit the bricks lady

Yes Alistair I make lots of friends everywhere I go...not

Oh this kid is looking for his mother...don't care

You need poison for traps...don't care

Bandits, spiders, and bears in the fields causing trouble...don't care

Hey there's a tavern, let's grab a drink

Sorry Ojore, no dogs allowed inside buddy

Well what do we have here

Looking for a elven grey warden huh?

I only see one in here and he's about to introduce you to his swords

Stab stab stab

Ha now you want me to show you mercy when you were going to kill me a second ago

Uhhh kinda hot but nosy Chantry sister I'm not sparing this fool so you should say your human prayer for him before I send him to the Fade as you call it

Wait you had a vision about helping me from your Maker

Hmmm I guess you can come along

Morrigan I know I'm picking up these stray people but listen the more bodies between us and the enemy the better

Well let's head out folks

Wait what are you doing in this cage, who put you here

Chantry...figures

These are crazy times, you should come with me

Damn humans I'm getting you out of here

Hey lady release that guy in the cage

No I'm not giving you a tithe, just give me the key for the cage outside

Or what?? I think this room could use a coat of red paint

What Alistair? Yes I'm threatening the Chantry mother, I'm not scared of her

Oh sure ignore the elf but when the human talks to you, you're willing to give us the key...typical

Alright big guy you are out of here

Yeah come along with us, what's one more body

I mean uhhh welcome to the team

Beat it Alistair, there's only room for one human in this group right now and I like Morrigan way more

Okay now we can go

Hey hey! Leave these dwarves alone

Stab stab stab, pew pew pew

Hey dude if you want you and your kid can follow us out of here...I think this place is doomed anyway

No? Well no skin off my back, you two be safe

Ojore, Sten, Morrigan- let's blow this popsicle stand

"How about i kill you and take your money." ... Really, does there even need to be any other dialogue with theses guys?

"Oh this kid is looking for his mother... don't care"  ... I talk to him just to stop him from yelling "Mother!" all day long. :pinched:

I've never intimidated the Revered Mother for Sten's key. I always wanted that extra approval from Leliana, thought I dunno why I was so worried.

I like your Dog's name too :)

Thanks everyone!

For some reason, I play elven wardens on the morally ambiguous to outright cruel side. I find the dialogue and reactions quite fun when I play that way. They usually could care less about 98% of the humans and human woes

First time I made a Dalish warden, my whole mindset on how I wanted to play one was set in the first few minutes of the origin story, when I was given the option to shoot these three clueless 'shemlen' who stumbled onto our territory. There were all these dialogue options that reflected a disdain for their obvious fear, and my Mahariel had this little sneer on her face the whole time. My hotheaded buddy Tamlen didn't help matters any. In the end i kinda felt like it was obligation to make sure no one else stumbled upon my clan. ...I loved it, heh.

Then of course she'd meet Leliana and everything would change.

Chapter 3 - Ruins of Ostagar

Spoiler

Yay, Rys is back! :D ... Dog's 'woof' translated: That your professional opinion, ma'am? ...;)

Gotta admit, DA:O has some kick-ass spell effects. I remember the first time I saw Walking Bomb out there in the Korcari Wilds. I had no idea what was going to happen, and then Daveth hit a ticking genlock and ... well, I must've laughed for a good five minutes

Hi guys.  Got a weirdness with my computer I can't explain, but maybe someone else can.  My computer has an AMD motherboard and the CPU is an AMD FX 8350, running Windows 7.  It goes into power saver mode and hibernates, but hitting a key wakes up the system fine after a minute or so.

This time, it wouldn't wake up, and pressing keys lit the indicator light on the keyboard that a key was being pressed, but the power button light kept flashing that it was still hibernating.  Trying to do a hard shut down was ineffective - it was like I wasn't holding down the power button at all.  Finally, I unplugged the computer and plugged it back in, and it acted like it would after any power failure.  Very weird.

Any ideas what could have happened?

On a positive note, I finally got the internet to cooperate.  Here's my Leliana doppleganger.  Walking down the dance floor toward the dais, the blue figure revealed that it was Leliana when I moused over it.  Leliana had just been announced, though, and she was walking up right behind Elissa.

No, but my general outlook with things like this is only to worry if they start to happen regularly. Computers occasionally do one-off weird things. They are highly complex bits of kit, after all...

Also about the Leliana thing, i could almost swear there's 3 of her in there   When my Inquisitors walk up the stairs to leave that dancefloor area she is behind them and at the top of the stairs asking me to talk to her at the same time, both Leliana's are visible in the cutscene in my games.

I'm no tech guru, and I've been on windows 8.1 for quite awhile now. A quick google came up with a few ideas for fixes. I'll put a link to one page i found in the spoiler. Some people are leery about clicking on links, and that's totally okay if you don't want to. :)

I googled "windows 7 system hangs on hibernate" and picked the third option that came up. Whatever search engine you use might come up with different results, but it's something :)  One thing the page said, and it may not even be relevant for you, but... if you have auto-hide enabled on the taskbar, it can cause problems with windows trying to wake up from a hibernated state.

I dunno *shrug* ... I might suggest at least doing a proper cold boot -- shutdown instead of restart -- and then powering up normally. That's just a habit I got into whenever windows crashes like that. Does it do anything? I dunno, peace of mind counts :)

As for your pics, wow that's kinda cool. I zoomed in on that one pic and it does indeed look like Leliana's haircut. Somehow I'm picturing Zevran grinning huge and saying, "Twins, Basil... twins!" ... but maybe it could explain psycho Leliana in Valence

I got similar with Bull in his post-fade "whack him with a big stick" scene. Cassandra was hitting him while also still practicing in the background! :D

So maybe i get more glitches then i thought, lol.. I rather just call them cutscene fails as Cassandra would be there if this cutscene wasn't going on.

Maybe there are three Lelianas, because in these consecutive screengrabs of Aidan, she's behind him and then miraculously waiting at the top of the opposite stairwell to where you see her in the above pics... Is that how she gets so much intrigue done? A clone army of flame-haired spies? :D

Thanks.  Yes, I do know about strange one-off computer stuff.  This system seems to be truly, um, unique in that regard.  I doubt I've ever owned a machine that didn't wind up with many idiosyncrasies.  Magnetic personality?  I'm not sure I'd wait until it was happening multiple times a day, though.  I'd have a broken computer (and window) before that happened.

Totally bizarre with her in 3 places.  When I saw it, I did think, "Yeah, she's good, isn't she?" so maybe she is a clone.  Which is the real Leliana?  My money would be on one of the ones on the gallery.  If it was me, I'd leave the boring old walk across the room wondering if I left a price tag on for the clone.

Oh cool! I didn't know that. Of course, it's highly possible I've seen her there and just didn't realize who she was. Note my observation skills with Ashaantha's post

Also, great pics. I didn't get a chance to say this yet, but i like the colour scheme for Bruce's outfit. it really stands out well in the screenies. :D I tend to not use bright colours at all whenever I craft new armor.

Oh me neither till 2-3 days ago :D Also I think I once saw Cillian in the garden too, but that could also have just been my imagination.

Thank you  I love bright colors, tho I try to tint armor in a way that it fits the personality of the character :)

I definitely agree with Cassandra and Bloodstone, that looks marvelous! (hah, someone learnt new word here)

Dorian - PLAIDEWEAVE ONLY! I plan to make whole party in plaideweave one day, that textile is just awesome.

Vivienne - the ugliest armour tinted with materials I don't need to look even uglier... ehrrrm... just don't tell her. :D

As for the others... I tint their gear quite randomly...

There's one thing that's bugging me for some time, though.... what's the flower crown your elfy-elf is wearing?

Maybe a little confession time:

-Big place - Totally not a pointer to Kaidan in Mass Effect 1.

-Alistair the lass - When I saw your reply I immediately went "What? When did I write that?" It was supposed to be "lad". I have no idea how I got that wrong and didn't even notice it. Duncan would probably never make such a stupid mistake. Well, too late to fix it now  :P

-I just gotta say how much I've always loved Flemeth. She's always a wonderful mix of mysterious and a crazy old bat. After DAI it makes me sad about Flemeth too

-It seems I have this strange effect on Thedas and a certain galaxy. I really don't know why that is
