Oh yeah, I had blocked the giant from memory forgotten the giant  ... No I remember that guy for sure. Spawned right at the beginning of the map and took most of our health to deal with him. Yes it was the giant!

Yeah, killed me three times in a row and because I played as Sidony, i didn't even notice it at first. -_-  (cause, one of her Necro passives lets her fight for 10 more seconds as ghost)

We're here to educate!

Eh, even there... That's cheesy.

Yeah, blame everything on Giant.

Side note: I'm more than grateful that there are no rocks they can throw.

I appreciate it

Yeah, it's Leliana's tent, so it's probably Orlesian cheese

Oh, me too. That would be just unfair.

Let's be glad we were in Orlais, in the Elven Ruins they do have (sometimes) rocks  :?

At the camp, everyone was mean to Bruce's dog, Rick.

Spoiler

Then Bruce went to Redcliffe with Alistair, Morrigan and Leliana. At the windmill they talked to Bann Teagan, when Arlessa Isolde arrived and begged her brother-in-law to come with her to the castle, alone. Bruce questioned her about the reason for this, but she didn't want to go into the specifics. Only that it concerned Connor, Arl Eamon's son and that apparently a blood mage was responsible for all the undead coming from the castle. Bann Teagan then gave Bruce a signet ring, to open the hidden entrance in the windmill, so the Wardens could sneek in too, then he left with the Arlessa.

Spoiler

After entering through the windmill, Bruce and his friends found himself in the dungeon of the castle and met, Jowan. Bruce's old friend from the circle.

Bruce questioned him about what had happened in the castle and Jowan explained, that Loghain had hired him to poison Arl Eamon (grrrr  ) and the Arlessa to teach her son how to hide his magic, fearing that the Cirle would've taken him from her. (which would've been good  <_< ) Bruce then opened Jowan's cell and told him to help them, to which he replied, that he will, but first would have to go somewhere else...okay?

Spoiler

While Bruce was fighting his way through the basement, he found a kennel, with angry Mabaris. The fight was soon over and the Mabaris dead. So he looted them and.....wait what?

I always use those 10 seconds to kill something. Magic of HoK revives me  :wizard:

I wanted to, but there was only the giant around

I made the same face when I saw that.

The description reads: (from the wiki)

A traditional Avvar kaddis design meant to invoke the Lord of Winter.

Yeaaaaah, I don't think that's a good idea.

I've gotten that Kaddis before, but it's been so long since I played DA:O that I didn't think of the significance, heh. Hopefully, the invoking is figurative only.

Yes, let's hope that.

Just saw, there are also other "Avvar" Kaddis

- Kaddis of the Lady of the Skies

- Kaddis of the Mountain-Father (that would be Korth, right)

interesting....

I could be wrong -- maker knows it wouldn't be the first time -- but I believe, when talking with Svarah Sun-Hair in Stone-Bear Hold, those are the three Avvar Gods she mentions. I wonder if there are more?

The old gods of the Alamarri:

Korth the Mountain-Father, Lady of the Skies, Hakkon Wintersbreath, Sigfrost, Imhar the Clever, Uvolla (fun fact: God of Wending Woods), Bjorn Reed-Beard, Rilla of the Fireside.

That's at least what Wikia says.

They are, Gurd even talks about them when he does his ritual. "Korth, the Stone-Father is young and weak blabla"

I just went to the wiki and found this interesting text.

The Avvars still worship the old gods of the Alamarri, the chief among them Korth the Mountain-Father, Hakkon Wintersbreath, and The Lady of the Skies. Andraste, a barbarian, is said to have prayed first to Korth and the Lady, but her prayers fell on deaf ears until the Maker answered.

Wouldn't that mean, that the Maker is a Spirit/Ghost too?

Dragon Age: II - Mark of the Assassin:

- The Cult of the Sky

- Notes on the Avvar Sky Cult

Yeah! Be kinda cool if there was a chance to offend people in Stone-Bear Hold in JoH by approaching an altar... and then you'd get sent on a series of quests to make it up to them, or at least climb that rock wall with stones tied to your back heh.

Yeah, that would've been cool.

Apropos, when Bruce was on Lady's Rest island, he saw a statue above the Hold, (to be exact, the statue is above the arena where you do the Hakkon's Trials quest) and idk I could swear I saw it somewhere else before.

And also of... I think there's one in the Hissing Waste that kinda looks vaquely qun'ari, but reminds of that statue too.

I started it, but couldn't finish it. I got stuck on the finger clue. It would be awesome if you completed each clue and took a screen of each location!

I really like second Cass gif!

You can actually pick journal and go straight to the Lion's Pavilion to light torches (if you enter the Pavilion thru main door - upper left corner 4 times, upper right corner 2 times and lower right corner 3 times).
After lighting torches go to the waterfall in north-west part of Emerald Graves. It's close to A Lover's Promise location. There's also the Rift there. Clue should be under waterfall, found with search function.
After that you just need to go to the Southfinger Tower. If you approach it from the south search function should appear. Pick up last clue and finish (literally, because there's a fight) quest.
I can make screenshots of each place if this description is not enough

As you follow the clues there's small reward at the end of clues chain

Ah, Rascoth beat me to it....that's what I get for having to sleep and go to work. <_<  Although, if that's really all there is to it, color me disappointed. Also, done.

Here is the waterfall clue; I actually found it by accident after wandering all over the Sighs region. The search ping helped!

Also, even though it says, "Treasure," I don't think it actually dropped anything. :pinched:

It looks a bit like The Guide statue in Emerald Graves. I spent a lot of time around it yesterday, trying to figure out the "finger" clue from the notebook. [Note: the clue doesn't refer to the statue]

While climbing up on top of a cliff, I got this shot. I think it might be Chateau d'Onterre, but from the side and very far away. The view is looking north, I think. If it isn't the chateau, I've no idea what it might be.

Interesting pic, Mel :) ... It almost has to be the Chateau D'Onterre, to my mind, because it's the only place in the Graves where you can get such a clear look at it, looking north. Having said that, i didn't think the Chateau was so high in elevation. Could it be the Villa where Fairbanks and his friends eventually settle down?
