Well yesterday i decided i was gonna take a stroll through the exalted plains so that i could get the snowy wyvern heart for Vivienne and to just explore in general since when i went before i was woefully unprepared and started getting owned by demons. Fortunately i had marked that blocked off cave near the wolf statue near fort whatamacallit and so i could go through the tunnel, and once i cleared out the gurguts i was able to set up a new camp. i went into the area behind the camp and found the "dead hand" which is basically just a massive stone shaped perfectly like a hand(part of a MASSIVE statue maybe?) grabbed the mosaic piece and went into the cave in the hopes that it was a quarry, it wasn't :(. finished the elven archer puzzle(may have watched a video for the last bit) looted EVERYTHING, and emerged into the crow fens at which point i began to clear our the gurguts. once i killed a few of them i spotted the snowy wyvern and put it to rest and stole its heart(easy enough sense it exploded when i killed it with the grunnsmans bow) and i began to snoop around the fens. all the while i had been running around i heard the flap of wings coming from above so i slowly got more and more paranoid that the high dragon for the area was gonna start lighting me up any second whilst i was running a muck (much like the ferelden frostback does when you enter Lady Shayna's valley) after i claimed a few landmarks i looked behind the area that i had just closed a fade rift from and i saw the wings of the high dragon. I hesitated for a moment because my team had already drunken two of my eight healing potions and I only had Iron Bull, Sera, and Dorian with me which is not the team i generally use to fight the high dragons. I will normally use Cassandra because of her very large amount of shield which generally takes a while to wear down, either Vivienne, Dorian, or Solas due to the respective abilities i have given them(solas is a fire mage, Dorian is an ice mage souly because when you defeat alexius you get the staff of stasis which is an ice staff so it made sense, and Vivienne is a life mage though because there is not spirit staff i have given Vivienne electric staffs, she has the fade knocker at the moment), and the last person can vary depending on what i feel like using at the time and what kind of rune they have on there weapons although i generally try to bring sera so i can attempt to romance her(I wasted sooooo much time trying to romance harding just to learn that she doesnt actually have a romance path). SO after my first attempt failed i went back to camp, got my normal team, realized i finally unlocked the third potion slot, and set out to kill the dragon. When i killed it, it was funny because when they die the dragons do a dramatic death fall but i got the killing blow with the bow so the animation was invisible until it fell and the body just magically reappeared then faded away. So i looted the dragon then i left in search of the dalish camp. got a little bit sidetracked on the way but i got there. then a young elf said he would like to join the inquisition so i asked why he couldnt join and he said because the kepper would not allow it. so i did a few favors for them and raided the tomb at the elven grave yard and got chewed out by the keeper because of it (whoops! should have waited) and realized i would have to hunt for bears to get the skins for the one lady. whilst i was looking about for valorin i decided i was fed up with the corpses and arcane horrors around the ramparts so i finished burning all the bodies and found the grisly remains of valorin in a destroyed house due to blood magic.

Afterwards i returned to skyhold and finished up the favors for vivienne and began talking to people since i hadnt talked to many people and i had completed wicked eyes and wicked hearts recently and sentenced florianne to work in the chantry. i completed and gained several different quests and i learned that blackwall had gone missing and that was why i could not use him when i went to the exalted plains. So i went to val royauxe to find him and learned he was never really blackwall at all!!!!! after feeling betrayed and freaking out because i might loose one of my inner circle i went to visit him in the prison and after i went back upstairsi spoke to cullen and he decided to be a bloody bastard and say we'll talk at skyhold. then i had to go to sleep but i will resume later, i hope i dont loose blackwall, he's one of my best companions!!!!!

I play on XBox and as far as I can tell, there's no screen shot option. If there is, I'm clueless about it. :)

Ah, that's a bummer.  I don't know about the XBone, but on the 360 there is no way to take a screenshot (I used to have a 360, til it stopped reading disks.  True story I rebought all of my old 360 games for my PS3 which is why I have two copies of DA/DAII and every single Assassin's Creed game.  Look at me, keeping the economy afloat).  I do enjoy the ability to take screen shots on the PS4. Then I send pictures to my facebook and then post them here.  Maybe not the most direct way to do things but it gets the job done!  Truthfully I'm envious of the PC people and their fly cam shots.  But my laptop.. it's not a gamers rig.  It would explode.

Just responding before i go to work.

I don't want to burst your bubble but the enemies in JoH do scale to your level. It's just that the lowest they go is 20 (or is it 21?). It's also available any time you're in Skyhold, so...

They go beyond 21. Since I have been playing Malionis (Level 27) so far the cap is level 25. DAI's system usually caps per every 5 levels. Since I have been playing NIGHTMARE a-lot lately I have picked up on this. One of the reasons why I had issues with a fade portal in the Hinderlands was because the level cap kept changing. When I first started it it was at level 10. I couldn't bust it. After doing a butt load of stuff I wound up dinging at level 15. I tried it again and this time the portal turned into a level 15 portal. I was like wtf! I finally crushed it at level 17 I believe. In theory when the new DLC comes out your inquisitor could cap at level 30 while portals and DLC missions will turn into level 30 foes and bosses.

@PreciousPisces I don't play on the computer, but can you do a PrntScrn in game to take a screen shot?  Is that a thing that can be done?

Your qunari is very pretty.  Also, her lipstick color is everything.  Carry on.  :)

Agreed here. I use my camera and frankly I have been finding the PC pictures a bit better detailed than my pictures. However I still like the pictures I have been taking.

Cory_%2023_zpsxtzc01fk.jpg

I still feel this has got to be one of my best Corypheus pcitures because of the detailing and stuff.

BTW PreciousPisces this picture...

reminds me of some of the pictures I take but with some cleaning up they look ok. A bit smokey but still do-able. I am tempted to show what I can do with the program I use.

I said lowest not highest. I was talking about the level you need to be at before they start scaling with you. Yes they stop at level 25, except for those four level 30 despair demons on the island. (Tressa hit the level 27 cap during JoH...)

Here's a thought. Instead of who completes it the fastest, it will be decided by who advances the most levels. I mean if I start at level 13 plus 8700 and you start at level 13 plus 9498. This means that everything in the dlc has to be done so that each of us gain the most experience points possible. Basically it means we can't miss a thing. So in theory its possible it would end in a tie. To get the most out of the dlc it would be best to start at the lowest possible level.

That seems fair.

Agreed. I the 'completionist' idea to discourage speed runs too

Here's another thought. What if we include others for the challenge? Everyone starts at the same level, the same class and companions. Now if we decide instead of how fast the dlc is completed to how many levels the player moves up, then it won't matter what companions the player uses.

I'm okay with anyone else joining who wants to participate as well, but I still like the idea of having others choose our companion(s) for us. Maybe we should have a vote for all three? We still play the same class, but we use the companions everyone else picks out.

The reward would be for the losers to give a like to the winner for thirty days to all his/her posts on this thread.

I do that anyway, heh (or try  ) ...but sure :D

Yeah, it is. It would be cool to have the Inquisitor gain another new ability using the anchor. For example, JoH had Aegis of the Rift.

Oh if they do that, then we are definitely going to need more quickbar slots heh.

Stared a Qunari female a few days ago. Make her look as best as IO could on PS3 using sliders I found on youtube.

She's at level 11 right now, and is equipped with Tyrdda's Staff. I also killed the Ferelden Frostback earlier with my team of Varric, Solas, and Iron Bull.

Still at Haven, and I haven't recruited mages or Templars yet.

I really like IHW aesthetic. A shame I can't appreciate that quest more with the time travel nonsense. Seeing Leliana like that is really dramatic but it's sort of doesn't count bc it's a future you'll "fix anyway" so it lessens the emotional impact.

Idk about craply dressed but it's true they could have made an effort for Anora dress :P

Unlike many I don't have a problem with the time travel. I think it's well controlled lore-wise in that it is dependent on the breach to work and also cannot be used to travel before the breach occurred, rendering it pretty much ineffective for any other scenario.

The emotion isn't lessened for me because you can "fix it". It's about the bravery that Leliana is capable of under extreme duress, not what "actually happens"...

It depends on the Inquisitor's specialization. I found Aegis of the Rift best fit for a ranged class such as a Mage or Archer, but didn't use it much on a DW Rogue or Warrior. Mark of the Rift fits all classes. I just slot the abilities I need for battle. The same goes with whoever's in my team.

Oh I get it, it's a personal pet peeve of mine (I may ****** about it a little too much :P) And like you said sounds like we won't have to deal with it once all the rits are closed.

So I can pretend it never happened on my PT

OK so Aidan is in the Frostback Basin. I hope I can get him through it over the weekend in time for the new DLC, but I fear I might not have time. We shall see. One thing is sure, I am having to use a few potions, which even on nightmare has become a rarity for me, so it's going to present a bit of a challenge at least.

My first foray through the Deep Roads in DAO was not very well planned out. I didn't have much of a party, hadn't discovered the joy of crafting 9 million health poultices of varying degrees to lug around all game long, and I'm pretty sure I missed out on a backpack or two. Also, I don't think I knew you could actually return to camp in between areas if you really want to. It took me forever and I probably destroyed as much loot as I ended up carrying out with me. And the final battle vs Branka was BRUTAL. I didn't have Shale installed yet either. Absolutely loved the creepy atmosphere though (just like the asteroid mine in ME3's Leviathan). The broodmother.....eh, not so much.

I had to use BSN to even find Branka. But when I did I would throw a glyph on her (Mark of Death) or some such so I always knew which one was her
