Seriously, the more I read, the more I think /This could be Alistair. He's as much an idiot as Maric./ ![]()
No wonder he was my first DA LI
Oh if they do that, then we are definitely going to need more quickbar slots heh.
Would love for this to happen but it's about as likely as a different ME3 ending.
They really seem to be in love with this design for some reason, even if it makes no sense. Even making mark/focus abilities a separate section of the bar would help.
I really like IHW aesthetic. A shame I can't appreciate that quest more with the time travel nonsense. Seeing Leliana like that is really dramatic but it's sort of doesn't count bc it's a future you'll "fix anyway" so it lessens the emotional impact.
Idk about craply dressed but it's true they could have made an effort for Anora dress
Unlike many I don't have a problem with the time travel. I think it's well controlled lore-wise in that it is dependent on the breach to work and also cannot be used to travel before the breach occurred, rendering it pretty much ineffective for any other scenario.
The emotion isn't lessened for me because you can "fix it". It's about the bravery that Leliana is capable of under extreme duress, not what "actually happens"...
What I like about IHW is, it shows how much both Leliana and whichever companions came along for the mission really believe in the Inquisitor. They are literally willing to protect them with their lives just in the hope they might be able to fix things. I think that's something the Inquisitor, who maybe was a bit skeptical up to that point, can take back with them to the "present" and really feel that the people who have gathered will get the job done no matter what.
It depends on the Inquisitor's specialization. I found Aegis of the Rift best fit for a ranged class such as a Mage or Archer, but didn't use it much on a DW Rogue or Warrior. Mark of the Rift fits all classes. I just slot the abilities I need for battle. The same goes with whoever's in my team.
I hate the fact that we have to do this. It can maybe be explained for a mage who forgot to pack, or ran out of, ingredients for X spell, but how does a warrior forget X move today but remember it tomorrow?

Dear Maker.... MARIC!![]()
Maric is not exactly the sharpest tool in the shed. ![]()
I said lowest not highest. I was talking about the level you need to be at before they start scaling with you. Yes they stop at level 25, except for those four level 30 despair demons on the island. (Tressa hit the level 27 cap during JoH...)
Oh right right. As i mentioned it would depend on your level and difficulty. Again as I said since Malaioniss was at level 27 the "lowest level guys in the JOH" DLC were level 25. In Spork's case if he enters at level 20 or whatever his lowest level enemy should be at level 20. i forgot to mention that I have picked up that bosses would be two levels higher or leutanents would be one level higher than normal goons. Some enemies seem to be preprogrammed to be on purposely even like that level 30 despair demons your talking about. I know in The Hinderlands the far southeast gate that has a zone exit usually starts at level 8. I think at one point when I dinged level 10 it became a level 14 gate. Some enemies and gates are preprogrammed to be +6 levels depending if your level 0 or 5 while others may be = level or +2 depending. It's a weird MMORPG rule they came up with.
I just met "Snowball" for the first time. What the hell was that doing under Caor Bronach?
I have came across new enemies myself as of late. I have noticed in THE EXALTED PLAINS that theres these "Rift Assassins" now (Btw they drop venetori tomes for those seeking Rift Mage) and I found a "Pure Whisp" in the Mire while looking for blood lotus's. I never met a Pure Whisp before. i took a screen shot and will post some day.

Chillin like an albino spider is gonna chill. I always like when I take Dorian down there and he is all like "Just once, I'd like to go into a cave with normal sized spiders!"
I like Cole's "So many legs." xD
HA! I've never taken Cole down there. Next PT!!
I actually put DAO back in this afternoon. Back in my youth (LOL!) I only ever played as a mage once (funny because I'm so ardently into playing DAI as a mage and bummed that Bethany dies in DAII so I really can't play as a mage because I like her). So I'm playing that as a mage now. Saved Sten and recruited the crazy (Leliana) and found a Mabari and named him Quasar (because I'm a nerd. A total and utter nerd. Perhaps that's a name better suited for a pet in the Mass Effect series?).

Had him with me in Bruce's PT (that was also the first time I met Snowball) he sounded so surprised. xD
I know what you mean, my next DAII PT is meant to be as a mage (my first was as rogue) and I don't even want to think about the fact that I'm gonna lose my little sister.
(it's funny, my first WS was: Rogue, Rogue, Mage and my current WS will be: Mage, Mage, Rogue)
Now I wished I understood the reference.

I think I've played DAI six times with mages? I'm terrible! But I love magic. Even did my nightmare PT as a mage (of course). I've done quite a few PTs as DW rogues. But never as an archer - I just don't find archering fun. I don't mind tanking and have won as both variants of warrior, but that is not my bread and butter, as it were

Quasars are a phenomenon in space - they output a tremendous amount of energy due to the center being a supermassive black hole. Let me take my nerd hat off now.

Here's the way I think it breaks down: You have several "level ranges" for enemies; 1-3, 4-7. 8-11, 12-15, 16-19 and 20-25 so far. They match the "recommended level" categories for opening the different areas at the war table.
If your Inquisitor is below the level range for an enemy when they are encountered they will be at the bottom of that range (for example 12 if it's a 12-15 enemy.) If your Inquisitor is in that range they will match it (perhaps with that boost you mention for lieutenant and boss enemies). and if your Inquisitor is past the top of the range they will be at the highest level, so 15 for that 12-15 enemy.
The majority of enemies in The Hinterlands are 4-7, but the enemies to the south-west (Bandits, Bears, Lyrium Smugglers, Darkspawn and Carta) are 8-11. I think the rift by the map exit that you mention is actually 8-11 too, and maybe you are mis-remembering. There are also three rifts that are 12-15.
Another example would be Emprise du Lion which is mostly 16-19 but the enemies and rifts on the far side of Judicael's Crossing are at 20-25 like those in JoH.
Finally of course you have the fixed level enemies which I think are just the High Dragons and that group of level 30 despair demons in JoH...

Heh. Like I said, I never played Mass Effect! I had no idea someone named a game after one of my favorite nerdy space things!! I got about 45 minutes into it before I knew it was not for me. LOL.
Well, I just watched The Descent DLC trailer and I'm surprised this is coming next week! That's awesome!
I'm mainly glad that it's not a timed exclusive...
I'm mainly glad that it's not a timed exclusive...
I think the timed exclusive was something like "Six month exclusivity" and not "All content released 60 days later for platforms other than XB1." At least I hope that's the way it worked.

That I know. (I watched enough Star Trek for that

Even more than DA (although it's close), the ME series is my favourite. It has flaws true enough, but that makes it even more endearing to me.Heh. Like I said, I never played Mass Effect! Thanks for the suggestion, Mike. I talked with BraveVesperia about the polls and it seems to be not so complicated at all. Once we work out the details of the challenge and decide which class we're going to play and all that, I'll put up a poll and let people choose our companions. Here's a thread with a straw poll. You could private message the individual to ask how to create one
Wasn't sure where to put this question- figure here is as good as any place. I'm maybe 90% thru a play through. Cleaning up the FrostBack Basin before I enter the final battle with Corypheus. Allowed Celene to be killed (Gaspard is Emperor), exiled the Grey Wardens. I am at Skyhold- I speak to Blackwall- he tells me I am a tyrant and my band are 'thugs'. He storms off. His card is now 'X' ed out. I never romanced him and I almost never had him on missions. Nor have I found many/any Grey Warden artifacts.
I've read online that his personal quest usually starts when you find a carved Griffon horse back by the stables- but I assume that is only for Inq's who romanced him. Long winded question- is he gone for good? If not- how do I kick off his personal quest?

Yes, he's gone for good and won't come back.

Good point about the warrior.

I know. The timed exclusive on JoH was a sh!tshow.
