Life happens and I haven't had as much of a chance to finish anything, but I do have some cool pictures to share.

This time, I'm focusing on making sure everyone gets a turn to play at least once, so I've never done the entire Frostback Basin with Cole before.  He's the first one to get left to mind the camp, poor guy.  It makes for some really awesome screens.

In no particular order, I discovered that AI pathfinding must have been learned from my cat, who I'm certain was dropped on her head when she was a kitten.  Since when is hiding in plain sight behind a column, flaming orange, a good place to stealth and flank attack?

Elissa looked pretty cool getting caught spinning midair

Storvacker is a typical bear.  I did eventually learn that you need to make sure someone isn't in whoever's searching the cell's way, because she has to come investigate and she always blocks the light.

I did get a good butt shot on one of the stone columns near the fade rift in the ruin, but I'm not digging through all those screens.  Maybe next time.

Hah, you're still better than some I've heard about.

That really depends on diffuculty, party, gear, spells... and luck.
With the last one being the most important.

Good to know :D

I'm playing on Hard  B)
Also I play post-Ending, did you know that Focus doesn't build up anymore after the fight with Corypheus? I had 100% Focus at the beginning and used it at the first Ogre, it didn't build up anymore after that.
Which means: I'm playing on Hard and the only one left with 1 Focus bar is Dorian, which I didn't use in the fight against the Emissary.  B)

Three more level. I would say three best levels.

You're definitely going to love those.

Er... Yes it does. I think something is bugged in your game because I've used Sera's Thousand Cuts more than once already and Tressa is post-ending.

Is your Focus Meter building up very, very slowly?

That could be possible, tho I switched it out for Energy Barrage when it didn't build up so I can't tell  (I could switch it out again, but I kinda like Energy Barrage  maybe I take Flash Fire out  )

The think that irks me is that when someone dies and is revived, their focus never goes past level one unless I go to Skyhold and back. Then it starts working again normally. This happens all game across all my playthroughs. Is this normal for everyone?

If it's building up too slow like if you're killing a Giant and at the end of the fight you only gain very, very small amount, I'd recommend restarting the game or reloading the save. It has only occurred once for me, and I noticed it when I was playing with Sera. It did affect the entire party. I noticed that the focus meter was hardly building up.

Does Sera's Focus Meter expend completely if you use it on like an enemy that can't survive the full duration of the Thousand Cuts?

Oh, okay, thanks for that tipp.

I don't know, I only tried Sera's Thousand Cuts on two Dragons till now. The first was one of the Emprise Dragons, where she only had 1 Focus, second was Vinsomer, but there it somehow didn't work. I gave her the Order to use TC with tac-cam and switched back to Bruce. Sera didn't use TC so I went back to her to tell her to use it, but her Focus was empty without using the ability

I don't have Sera with me in the Deep Roads, it's just Bruce, Dorian, Varric and Cole. The only two with Focus abilties in their skill bar are(were) Bruce and Dorian and I rarely use Dorian's Haste.

I have to admit that I've seen Thousand Cuts misfire a few times, but when it works... Nothing more deadly on a Boss with loads of HP, especially if you have an Assassin rogue with "Mark of Death" in the party.

Focus build up normally for me. As others said, maybe you've encountered a bug. I was using everyone's Focus abilities (except for Mark of the Rift, because it's special snowflake I save for 'oh sh*t' situations) multiple times, definitely with more than one bar most of the time.

Yeah, probably.

Cole had some problems too, he would stay in Stealth mode (green ghost) even tho the Stealth skill wasn't active. I had to activate Stealth and then deactivate it to get him back to normal. Happened at least 2-3 times.

Yeah, that location plus The Wall at the fortress have serious navmesh errors. In the bear prison, my IQ ended up fighting the bad guys solo, since the rest of party got stuck in the entrance.

Well I just finished the Descent.  And i have this nagging headache in the back of my mind.  I don't know why.

So first off Level 4.

Onto Level 5

And finally onto level 5

So onto the aftermath.

Final thoughts.  This DLC was amazing.

Again on the negative side overall it felt like Origins at time in the fact that it was a bit too difficult for me.  Still Inquisition's combat mechanics made it more enjoyable then frustrating.  I really got into it and the role play of the events.  Huge revelations and amazing thoughts.

The DLC was written, again very tightly...maybe except for one outstanding issue.  Questions large and small were answered like 'why is this happening?' 'how does the Inquisitor and co not succomb to the Blight', etc.

Top level, I mean I do not know why my mind is blown so much, but it is blown.  It answered questions, dealt with the reasons the Inquisitor was there in the first place, and set up more questions to drive the narrative forward and opened up amazing possibilities if you pay enough attention to the lore.  \

Finally, on another note, this DLC felt more like Inquisiting then anything else.  The Inquisitor was actually investigating, and sure all questions may not have been answered but this was a satisfying mystery for the Inquisition to sink its teeth into.

*ahem*

Ah, that isn't actually a bug. Working as Intended™ But seriously, it's not a bug. I abuse it so much with my Dwarf Rogue.

Seriously I thin this DLC is BioWare at their best.  Though again it was a bit frustrating the difficulty curve...for me...but the story content was well worth the hassle.

Ugh.  Hakkonite spies are the worst.  If ever someone needed a knife to the kidneys, it's a Hakkonite spy. I hate how they one shot you. They are better at killing my rogue Rafe than my mage Caitlyn.     And Rafe generates guard.

My plans for this weekend include staying inside where it is air conditioned.  Avoiding the tourists who will be around for the air and water show here in Chicago, and finishing up the Deep Roads in DAO.  Hillary is, if you recall, down there with Oghren, Leliana and Shale.  And we are in the Dead Trenches right before the broodmother bit.  Ugh.

It's possible.  I got caught in a rip tide as a kid, and the only stroke I knew was the dog paddle, and since the lifeguards hadn't spotted me, I swam back.  Go with the stuff you learn first.
