Well today, we took to getting use to controls on the PS4 and uploaded my world slate for my game so we got done with the Wrath of Haven and intro with my new Trayvlen mage and charged up the mountain with soilders to met my Mages new love intrest, whom I later found out to be named Cullen. Cassandra later tells me that he was a former Templar from Kirkwall with the rank of Kinght Captian. He just had to be from the shithole that is the Kirkwall circle ugh thought I got a glimps at his butt :)

Abused the Valanmaar Vault exploit.

Am still doing it now :P  Hadn't been there before this run cause I figured I'd go there anyway for Varric's quest. Opened the container holding the tier 3 schematics and then figured I was going to abuse it until I, hopefully, find a nice tier 3 bow or something. So far only some masterwork upgrades though

Decided to clear the Forbidden Oasis...what an annoying area. The whole map is a big maze, so damn confusing. Took me 1 hour to find the temple's entrance. And companions randomly falling for some reason which drained the potion supply and suddenly a giant popped...a rock in the face.

Hold position was my friend during this time to be honest. A helpful command indeed, saved me the headache a bit. In the end, finally, everything was completed, only few doors left to be opened. Satisfaction much.

reaching the right path, felt like this

I journeyed back to the Hissing Wastes and visited a vendor. Apparently he decided to take a break and was killed by spiders, leaving his dog to make change. Why did I even bother paying? I mean it's only a dog, right? But there's probably some ancient curse on his crafting diagrams if you don't pay, so we paid, and there was no option to negotiate. I think my gold went to fund Corypheus' war effort.

Then we returned to Skyhold and I had Dagna craft new armor for Cassandra and me. I had all the proper materials, and she's supposed to be a miracle worker. A masterwork armor should be easy, right? Ten tries, Dagna, and not one masterwork? Really? (That's right I reloaded 10 times and not one masterwork - I've given up.) Dagna, do you know how hard it is to get these materials? I'd send you to the chopping block, but Cullen says you still have a use - something about red lyrium. Consider yourself lucky.

Anyway, I made the armor out of dragon scales. It's a nice white, and the arms and legs I used Halla skin as a base so the color would match. Looks are important. White does show blood. Poor Cassandra. Dawnstone is as strong a metal as Silverite for the base for armor. Unfortunately it's pink. Sorry Cassandra. I had a lot of it, and not as much Silverite. Your last suit looked awesome though.

Then we finally went to the Temple of Dirthamen: a dark, damp, smelly place. We found the runes, and we went around placing body parts on pedestals in the central area. This got Solas all excited. "This is where the magic all happens." The place was obviously elven. Apparently his own people had killed him, then chopped him up and spread him around in the tomb. We assembled him and miracle of miracles, a bunch of undead sprung up, including the old codger himself, whom we had to kill yet again. But now he could rest in peace. And we found the loot which was a bunch of crap that we took only to deny Samson. And guess who we ran into on our way out. Red Templars.

New armor in wet damp smelly places. Just great.

We returned to Skyhold after. We have Samson on the run. Our next move is to go into battle against him. I look forward to fighting at Cullen's side.

A question I've be meaning to ask since the game came out. Not sure why I only remember it now. Whatever.

I play on a ps3, and when in the character creator, I can't add scars to my character. For the ones who play on the ps3. Is there a way to add scars that I may've overlooked or I'm I just SOL?

Still in the Exalted plains with Iron Bull, Vivienne and Varric. I fought my way through scores of demons to liberate the Citadel. I spoke with their leader and she was grateful but she wanted me to find supply caches. I was thinking to myself; you have soldiers outside saying "I'm tired of all this waiting around" and you still want to send me. Anyway, I started to do this request and I realised that two of the supply caches are part of the Dalish supplies. Therefore, I did feel awful as I am taking supplies from the Dalish for the Orlesian Empire (If future DLC shows that the Dalish camp is no more through lack of supplies, I will feel worse).

I thought all the embarrassment had ended with the awkward conversations/scenarios with Vivienne but it didn't. Bull wanted to know about Vivienne and if Circle mages 'shacked up' (this is embarrassing moment number 5 in the span of three days). Vivienne will probably be getting the impression that the inquisition is full of sex obsessed party members

I also killed a snowfleur for a codex entry which also made me feel terrible.

Finally I went to Val Royeaux for some Skyhold decorations. I went over to the bard and realised something for the first time. She went full Orlesian by singing in French (I'm sure it was the Enchanter song in French) and she is telling me a lot more poetry than before.

Well.... I've acquired a horse, which suddenly vanished a couple minutes later.

Other than that, a lot of goat hunting.

I think masterwork armor is bugged. I've tried it 15 times with dragons teeth and still none. If I had a PC, I'd just make it masterwork and be done with it. I mean it's ridiculous. It should have worked once. I even danced around to change the time seed. I've even tried it several times with a masterwork schematic for laughs and it didn't work either. That was 90 minutes last night people. I finally gave up an just dropped fade touched iron in the slot on the armor. Heal me 15% for damage taken over 15 seconds.

Downloaded FRAPS, disabled subtitles, learned how to remove the HUD and started a new game just to test how do the screenshots look. No regrets.
Screens (i used some photoshop a bit as well)

That sucks. Did you try the others that offer 10% to stats by chance?

The fade touch iron is a good choice to add. Example. As folks know when the dragon flaps its wings, the player and companions take damage, but when I used that fade touched iron, I took very little damage when fighting another dragon that flapped its wings.

Harold decided to ignore all his previous options and head to the southwest Hinterlands instead. It's actually not a bad place to explore if you don't already have the quest for the claws from the three great bears. The group has been wandering around for a bit and have only seen regular bears, which, although they have a lot of health, they aren't too tough. The rifts over there, though  ...*ahem* not ready for them yet.

I'd remembered there was some good loot in the mercenary fortress down that way, so I wanted to go there and see if I could upgrade some gear without crafting -- haven't got much in the way of schematics yet -- and I was right. There is some masterwork vanguard armor there for Cassandra. B) Trouble is, she's not quite experienced enough to equip it. :pinched: She almost is, though, so I won't have to wait long.

These level/race restrictions on armor have got to go. I figure, if you can find it, you can use it, amirite? I mean, I found a really good set of "reinforced scout mail" that I won't be able to wear for four more levels. It's not even blue or purple. I know that by the time I hit level twelve I'll have since found/crafted better armor, but I just can't throw it away. So there it sits, taking up a precious inventory slot.

Welcome. Scars are kinda awesome, but they do add a couple hours* to cc time, trying to make everything look just right.

*- totally not an exaggeration :P

Nice screenies :) ... how is FRAPS working with DA:I? I loved it for ME3, but I'd read somewhere awhile back about the game having issues with it, so I've avoided using it.

After abusing the Valammar vault for like 2 hours, I finally had a bow (one that gives extra strength/con though, so not even the greatest :P) and an amazing mace for Cassandra (Templar Mace), but sadly no armor. So I left the loot box for me to exploit later.

After using almost my entire stock of Stormheart on crafting the new tier 3 weapons and upgrades (sadly no tier 3 upgrade for the bow), I figured it was time to go hunt my first Dragon. I know the Crestwood one is the easiest, but I'd have to travel a bit, and the Ferelden Frostback is like.. right there.

So I started the fight, Fire Flask, Thousand Cuts... and half it's HP was gone lol. Sadly I didn't get a second Thousand Cuts though... did they patch that?

Anyway, the Dragon fell. And for the first time ever in my DA:I career, the entire squad was still standing after the battle. As a KE pretty much everyone was dead the entire battle except me :P

No problems, works perfect so far. And damn it feels good, that instant capture...I read that for best quality, you should select .png format, i was using .jpg, still it is not bad and each screen is ~150KB. (i took way too much for 30 minutes, help me god.)

Heh, that was my problem in ME3. Ended up with a few thousand screenies of the genophage finale, quite often holding the pause key down while rotating the camera to get different angles. Spent more time doing that than actually playing the game.

Good to know FRAPS works alright, though. I may have to fire it up.

Today I played Dragon Age 2. Ah, nostalgia. The combat feels more responsive than in DAI, the specializations are cooler, and I forgot how pleasant Varric used to be. DAI's still a better game on the whole, but DA2 had some bright spots.

I was trying to kinda rush through a game of DA2 before Inquisition arrived -- didn't make it, still somewhere in act 2, oh well. But I was a little bit pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed watching mageHawke destroy everything she came across, and look badass while doing it. DA2 did a lot of things right, imho. Someday when I'm ready for a break from DA:I I'll get back to that mageHawke.

What did I do today? Patiently wait for DAI to re-download (Currently at 13%, another 80-90 Hours left) after experiencing so many computer issues where disk usage would skyrocket up to 100%, making literally everything nearly impossible without freezing the computer.

No Internet, no file browsing, no DAI (That was the final straw lol) so.,. Reset to factory default. Good bye everything we had on the computer, nothing else worked xD

I cheat a little though :P I have Vivienne in my squad. The AI does quite well handling her btw. I disabled her Barrier so I can use in case anyone needs it, and because she's close to Cassandra most of the time I can almost always immediatly cast a Barrier on Cassandra if necessary and catch Vivienne with it too. Dorian is my second mage and his barrier is handled by the AI.

But anyway, Viv in your squad means that if things do turn sour for a moment, she can revive everyone.

I never took Vivienne anywhere with me in my first PT, but I've let her take Solas' place (for now) this time around, and she's really quite a downer. Next time she complains about needing a bath to wash the stink of Fereldan off, I'm gonna throw her in a lake.
