"Sound of Silence" was originally written and performed by Simon and Garfunkel in 1964. The remastered version of it *was* in Watchmen, though !
My video uses a cover by Bobaflex.
Thank you so much. Frankly I like the song. i consider it a classic. Also honestly it's the only version I have heard of. i am unaware of a version beyond that.
The first version of The Sound of Silence I heard was by Simon and Garfunkel.
Sorry the weather there's so hot. The internet and cell service has been so abyssmal, places around here are having service interruptions all over the place. Apparently, parts overheating is the big problem for everything electronic, and the first things to go are the video card and the motherboard. My partner once found a CPU, perfectly mounted, on top of the plastic film. The computer had been shutting down for overheating. I'm surprised it worked at all.
Yeah it happens. The heat is killing my 360 game-play and I am waiting on a fan for it. I had one but it wasn't working/seemed broken (got it via the mail). I was trying to play Vlah'Nu again and my system red ringed. ><.

Van Colsing is amazing, skilled... and looks really good with explosions in the background
I went and made a few gifs... Again
Spoiler
These two gifs remind me of remind me of a MARRIED WITH CHILDREN episode where the daughter character wanted to run a TV show. A censorship group came in and had the band wear nice clothes and play 'meaningful music'.
As per Spork's request, I've decided to continue my 2H Reaver Alessandra II's run. This is for you, Spork and all who are following her dark journey.
First off, she, Iron Bull, Blackwall and Sera travelled to a remote island on the Storm Coast to battle the Visominer high dragon. The dragon put up a good challenge for this team (without a Mage), but Alessandra savoured the taste of dragon's blood after their victory.
Next, they travelled to the Hissing Wastes. Sera reluctantly went back to Skyhold under the Inquisitor's orders and Dorian was brought on. The team uncovered treasures from all five Dwarven burial tombs while leaving behind a long bloody trail of demons, Venatori agents, lurkers, Red Templars and random wyrvenn. Dorian and Blackwall got a bit concerned about Alessandra's growing brutality on the battlefield while risking her life. Bull didn't seem to mind it.
As they headed over to the Tomb of Fairel, they encountered a mysterious Chantry sister. "I don't have time to play games, foolish wench. Take your so called prayers elsewhere," Alessandra sneered at her.
Blackwall and Dorian glanced at their leader disapprovingly.
"Hnn.. I have a feeling," Bull pondered.
"What?" the Inquisitor muttered.
"Just a hunch. We'll soon find out," Bull replied with a knowing smirk.
Alessandra regards the Qunari cooly then continued on ahead of him.
To be continued...
Alessandra II is now at level 20, and has all of her Reaver abilities unlocked and upgraded. I had to do a bit of backtracking on her story to plan her next evil motives. But I can say that once she clears the Hissing Wastes, things will get interesting in Emprise du Lion and within her inner circle

Alessandra II has been a busy lady, and thank you ... I have been, and I do still, consider her to be an inspiration for my own reaver's NM run, which I'm going to return to once I finish with Descent. So I definitely like to read about how she handles both her companions and everyone else along the way.

Today in the Inqusition... (in reality not "today" but since my last update)
Dofni and the gang continue their journey into the deep roads after a minor setback, involving an enemy who didn't want to come out of the walls and be killed to death by a little woman with a big sword ... and honestly, who can blame him. More on that later. There's really not a whole lot to say about Dofni's journey just yet, except that there are
Spoiler
spiders
Sorry, there is actually a fair bit more than that going on.
...but in the meantime, two of the Inquisition's most gullible fools who were volunteered for this particular job after all the other available agents conveniently found somewhere else to be finest agents were sent on a mission of utmost importance... to retrieve a giant wheel of cheese from an old castle ruin somewhere in Fereldan.
Spoiler
We did not know why anyone would want this waterlogged, weatherbeaten and surely inedible dairy product, neither did we know how we would get it down from there... but we were Inquisition agents and we had been given a mission. We would succeed or we would fail ( ), but we would not return ( *ahem* ) without the cheese! What we did not realize -- okay we totally did because we set it up this way -- was that in the pursuit of knowledge and in the interest of science, the difficulty level had been raised to 'heartbreak'ingly astonishing heights. For those of you who haven't played any multiplayer matches, I've asked Nigel Tufnel to explain playing on Heartbreak difficulty (where Nightmare or "perilous" would be a volume of 10)'
That pretty much sums it up. But we did it; we took that "extra push over the cliff"... for science. Argent, the assassin (played by me), and Hall, the archer (played by Gilli-chan) arrived at the docks in the most miserable night of weather in Ferelden since the Battle of Ostagar all those many years ago. Here we are, steadfastly not complaining about the weather.
Spoiler
Second pic just because Argent is striking a pose
We'd heard that a secret tunnel to that rocky pillar rising out of the water existed somewhere deep in the bowels of the ruined castle, so all we had to do was make our way past a few demons and... oh yeah... this guy. Sidenote: Gilli's first words typed to me in the Origin text chat window: "We are so dead." ...Prophetic.
Spoiler
Note the size of the dragon, and then note the size of the cheese wheel... I know I know, you're gonna say the dragon is in the distance because no wheel of cheese can be that big, but if you look close the dragon is in front of that rocky pillar. Yeah.
Alright, on with the show. We got away from the docks because the dragon was circling ominously overhead and made our way to zone 1: The Beach. Argent went into stealth mode, because that's what she does, and ran ahead to scout. The we got our first glimpse of our enemies.
Spoiler
The hell is a Vint doing there? I thought we were facing demons. Gilli, maybe it was that guy who laid the fire mines, not the rage demon. Think so?
Then it was time to engage the enemy. This is where, from a screenshot-taking point of view, I lose track of what Gilli is doing because the camera centers on me. I've decided to attack the Rage Demon with Shadow Strike because it is the most devastating first-strike from stealth my 16th level assassin possesses in her arsenal. On routine and threatening difficulties it works quite well, and I enjoy watching the bad guys get completely lifted off their feet ...here? Not so much, as you can see from how little the demon's health bar diminished
Spoiler
It did however stagger the demon, which bought me a few extra moments to plan my next attack (HA!). For the next three screenshots, please keep in mind that the program I'm using to take these screenies (Bandicam) takes a snapshot every half-second, or two shots per second. Then understand that these three shots are in direct sequence, so one shot, half-second pause, next shot, half-second pause, last shot. Then, keeping that in mind, please note Gilli's health bar in the middle right area of the screen.... I didn't put these up to disparage Gilli in any way, not at all, but merely to illustrate what we were up against. I mean, it was over in a flash of lightning.
Somewhat dismayed at the fact that I barely scratched the rage demon, I hurriedly tapped the "2" key on my keyboard to hit the beast with a Flank Attack.... which did nothing. Then it was the demon's turn to counterattack. Ulp. I won't post every screenie of the sequence, but it took a grand total of 4-5 seconds.
Spoiler
First, his barrier went up. Boy did he ever need to do that.
And at the same moment he hit me, I pressed "4" on my keyboard and hit with Hidden Blades. Did some damage to his barrier, but...
And then the Shade got me. That splash of blood you can see hangin in the air? Yeah, that's mine.
and it was over.
From the time I turned bandicam on to get a shot of that big wheel of cheese -- which will now forever remain unrecovered -- to the "operation failed..." screen, Bandicam took 122 screenshots. At two shots per second, that is 61 seconds for the entire mission. That includes pausing to get a good shot of the dragon flying by overhead, and the few seconds it took us to get off the docks and to the place of our doom. Honestly I was laughing my ass off the entire time because, before the match even started, we were talking in the text chat about the inevitability of what we were about to do, and how we hoped to at least take a few of the bad guys with us before we died. Gilli was host for the match, and she set it for "random" so we didn't even know, until the map opened up, that we were going to be fighting a dragon or even demons. Still want to know what the Vint was doing there. Maybe it's a thing for the enemy factions to mix on Heartbreaker?
In any event, it was fun. Extremely brief, extremely humbling -- I, for one, have a new respect for those MP'ers who play on Heartbreaker all the time -- and absolutely hilarious. I'll do it again... uhh, after I've promoted my agents a few more times

That scene is priceless too, Cass' beeing one of my favourite character, it makes the scene even funnier

The horror! I just imagined an armour made of Schmooples but yeah, it would explain the trial...or maybe the cheese wasn't blue enough .

You friggin put difficulty on Heartbreaker! What did you expext?!
About that Vint. Heartbreaker has mobs from all factions. Zone 5 is especially hardcore, because you have a few commanders from different factions.
Example: 3x Envy, 2x Samson and maybe Calpernia as an addiction.
Either way... It's official. You and Gilli are nuts

I thought we could kill one bad guy before we died. ... You know, I was so focused on how I was going to fight the Rage Demon that I didn't even see the Vint. I don't think Gilli did either, because she thought the Rage Demon had put down the fire mines that killed her, heh. If he hadn't been in the screenies I think we both would still think he was never there. Even when the match was on I didn't notice Gilli had gone down until I died. I was hoping against hope that she could revive me and just maybe we'd regroup and get past the first couple of demons ... Thinking about it now makes me laugh all over again.
So I've got loads of screengrabs from The Descent's cinematics, but one thing that slowed down my progress was the prettiness of the views. I took a lot of landscape shots. Not having flycam, I had to find rocks and walls to stand in front of to squeeze the camera and make Tressa disappear from the pictures.
I took sooo many in Bastion of the Pure

And a few in The Wellspring:

So many lovely views. Is this the most scenic area yet in DAI?

So I finished all the secondary stuff in the Descent again ( ) and now all that there is left to do is...well I guess wait for the next DLC to come out. lol. Anyways it was fun. Actualy found more things this time then the last time:
Spoiler
Found the Arcane Horror in the Bastion of the Pure.
Anyways something also happened with an enemy down there. But now for the life of me I cannot figure it out. :/ Oh well I am sure it will come to me. lol.

Yeah, I didn't see the Vint at all, or I would've focused my attacks on him, instead of the Rage Demon At least that explains the glyph under my feet and I thought Rage Demons had learned to cast spells with glyphs
Fun fact: It wasn't even the fire glyph that killed me, it was a Winter's Grasp from a Despair Demon (which I didn't see either, but the spell showed it was there somewhere)
