I like tac-cam in that I like to stop for a second and issue a command for my main character. I try not to micromanage my party members. I usually let them do what they are gonna do unless they are how they are in DA2 and don't drink a health potion unless you stop and make them. DAI doesn't generally have THAT problem. Sometimes I will issue a command if I'm in immediate need of a revival or barrier or something because someone is about to fall out. Or all three other people have tier 3 focus and need to let loose (I do have my chars set up to use their focus abilities at will though).
As for me, I'm still maging (yeah I just made that word up) about with Hawke. She is trying to scrape up 50 sovereigns for Bartram's expedition (since I had to repurchase this for the PS3, I do not have the achievement for funding it on her own.. I did have it on the 360, but a girl has goals. And like me, Hawke likes to think of herself as self-made).
I gotta give Carver props, I only had one PT as a mage and typically did not use him as I tend to prefer Aveline since a S&S warrior seems to be more hardy, but he is a pretty good warrior. Unlike Fenris who always likes to die on me, Carver is pretty good about staying alive and hitting things. Wonder why? His skillset is not all that different from Fenris's. Also, the Isabela/Carver and Carver/Merrill banter is worth keeping him in the party. Hilarious. I still think he is a whiner with a chip on his shoulder though

Also, my employment situation is going to be less tenuous soon. So I'm sad to say I probably won't be playing and checking in as much as I would like. This thread makes me happy. So when I pop in, don't forget who I am.

I realised how much I missed it. As much as I love DAI soundtrack, I wish this one was included. None other DA music piece makes me picture a place connected to it so clearly. Tho I must admit Wounded Coast is much clearer than Calenhad docks

Oh yeah, it gave more insight about mages, the rite of tranquility and the rebellion. I also find that Evangeline, Cullen, Ser Barris and Lysette are examples of what templars are meant to be. Protecting the people, not being jailers or tormentors.
I'm reading Masked Empire too. Celene is ruthless and a master of the Game.

Yeah Mike, it seems that once I figure out the bests tactics I should have no trouble. Sounds like it is really easy for those who routinely use at least some tactics instead of charging in blind. That's encouraging. I remember in my one-and-only ME3 insanity run, I died a lot. Maybe you rememberMy first playthrough of DAI on nightmare I used the tactical camera a lot. It really helped. Now I barely use it when playing nightmare mode since its fairly easy. I even found fighting the 4 despair demons in the Jaws dlc very easy especially on nightmare mode. I compare it to ME3. ME3 was very easy on insanity mode
As far as the Descent dlc is concerned, I watched a playthrough on youtube and thought it looked very easy.

Heh, I am usually actually shouting: "You are a ranged fighter! Get back over ----------------> there!" Honestly, I don't know how many times I've seen Dorian using his staff for clubbing people over the head rather than for shooting fireballs.

I had the same experience with the Guardian that you did, Melbella. Dorian and Varric dropped early (and I didn't bother to revive them), but Blackwall and weapon/shield Trevelyan barely lost any guard on it.
