Thanks to all who I've been chatting on this thread about their play throughs, the Descent DLC and DA novels, but I now have an update on my malevolent Reaver Alessandra II.
Last time, she was still in the Hissing Wastes with Blackwall, Bull and Dorian and they're on their way to the Tomb of Fairel. So continuing on, they made it to the tomb and no surprise, they fought the Sandy Howler high dragon. The dragon wasn't much of a challenge, but a victory was a victory. The team later obtained the last treasures and Bull mentioned about no booby traps. "Why is that?" Alessandra asked.
"It's just plain Qunari," Bull quipped.
While clearing the remaining fade rifts and slaying a "legendary" beast, Iron Bull made another interesting observation. This time directed at Blackwall. "You always mention about Grey Wardens, but you don't sound like that's who you really are," he noted.
"What do you mean by that? I am who I say I am," Blackwall retorted.
"Have it your way. I am a people person," the Qunari countered with a glint in his eye.
The Warden officer blanched behind his helm. He noticed Alessandra watching him from the corner of her eye. 'Maker's breath... Are they on to me?' he worried to himself as they left the desert.
Arriving in Emprise du Lion, Bull returned to Skyhold and Sera was called to join the team. They first encountered Mistress Poulin, who foolishly assisted the Red Templars in taking Sahrnia's townspeople to work in the quarry. Then met with the late Empress' disgraced champion, Michel de Chevin, who's on a personal quest to destroy a demon called, Imshael. The Inquisitor scowled behind her crimson dragon helm at having to deal with such nonsense. But nonetheless, she took care of things her way.
Alessandra, Blackwall, Dorian and Sera initially routed the Red Templars in the Highgrove, Drakon Rise and Tower of Bone camps. Then moved on to rescuing the workers in Sarhnia's quarry. Also, they cleared the darkspawn and undead from Valeska's Watch, and obtained the last two Grey Warden artifacts much to Blackwall's gratefulness. But Dorian had a few hateful words to say to him resulting in a heated argument.
"Enough! Both of you!" the Inquisitor thundered her voice echoing in the abandoned cave.
Sera cringed.
"My apologies, Your Worship," Blackwall said inclining his head.
Dorian glared at the Warden and stormed off.
Before taking on Suledin Keep, Alessandra diverted to the Cradle of Sulevin to recover the Sulevin Blade. With the newly forged Elven greatsword in hand, Alessandra returned to Emprise du Lion to settle things once and for all.
Accompanying the Inquisitor this time were Blackwall, Iron Bull and Solas. They stormed Suledin Keep taking down each wave of Red Templars and two red lyium infected giants. But when they finally reached the demon, Imshael, things took an interesting turn.
"Ah, the Herald of Andraste. So nice to finally meet you," Imshael greeted with a bow.
Alessandra slowly approached the demon while the rest of her party stayed back.
"A demon..." Bull grunted with disgust, "and a talky one..."
"Ahem... Choice Spirit," the humanized demon corrected then went on to make his proposal to the Inquisitor.
"What kind of choice do I have?" Alessandra noted.
"Oh, let's see... Power? Riches? Virgins? Name your price and it shall be granted," Imshael replied folding his arms casually.
The Inquisitor chuckled studying the demon. You obviously want something in return. I'll give it to you. She then made her decision.
Around them, the remaining Red Templars fell.
"And they all lived happily ever after. It was nice doing business with you, Herald of Andraste," Imshael finished vanishing from sight.
Blackwall was stunned.
Solas and Iron Bull remained silent.
Alessandra ignored them as she ascended up the stairs to raise the Inquisition's flag on the keep.
Now that Suledin Keep and the rest of Emprise were under the Inquisition's possession, the Inquisitor returned to Sahrnia to arrest Mistress Poulin. She also found Michel de Chevin's body lying in the ruins of a destroyed home with an attached note from Imshael, "Just a friendly reminder: Choice Spirit."
Alessandra laughed softly, "That you are, Imshael."
Back in Skyhold, the Inquisitor laid her death sentence on Mistress Poulin. She smirked with satisfaction watching the noble cry and beg for her life as she was dragged away by the guards.
The rest of her inner circle looked on with displeasure.
Later, Cullen openly expressed his outrage during a war table meeting that went downhill concerning Ser Michel's demise. "A pity on Michel de Chevin's death?! Josephine, how can you say that?! His death is a stain on the Inquisition!"
"Cullen, please..." Josephine tried to explain.
"No! This was her doing!" the Commander seethed pointing an accusing finger at the Inquisitor.
"You're siding with a so called champion and disgraced chevalier?" Alessandra scoffed.
"Hang that! He could've been a valuable agent and mentor to our soldiers! Yet you allowed a demon to kill him!" Cullen shouted.
The Inquisitor squared her shoulders. Intense red eyes locking with Cullen's angry hazel ones. "I have made my decision, Commander. Whether you like it or not. My word is final."
That said, she dismissed her advisors. The meeting coming to a close.
Josephine shakes her head as she gathered her notes and moved towards the great oak doors.
Leliana nodded to the Inquisitor and followed the Ambassador.
Cullen gave one last glare, leaving Alessandra alone.
With the war room empty, Alessandra wandered over to the large windows, plotting her next move.
There's more to come. None of you cannot stop me....
To be continued....
