This fight was pretty easy, but she got in some licks (see frozen Cass as exhibit A)

After taking out a group of red Templars and marking the first tower, it was on to:

Tanith crafted this special for this fight: ice damage Staff of Corruption






After getting her down to about 20% health and only using 1 potion, I thought it would be a quick wrap. Wrong! She let loose another one of her fire ring attacks and I was a split second too late with casting Dispel. Result: Tanith, Solas, and Cole all down to about 3 hit points apiece. Everyone chugged a potion real quick and then it was a race to see what would run out first: Ravy's health or the potions. Luckily it was the former.

This is a drive by posting.. Just zooming in to say hi.  My job.. it uses Macs.  I'm all messed up - its like you never "save" anything.  You just close the window.  Weird.  LOL.  Hawke.. Well she is now officially in a relationship with Anders.  I feel like it is a tragic love story and fitting for her lot in life.  Plus they are both mages.  I'm not a fan of rivalmancing someone like Fenris.    Nice of Varric to express concern about her relationship with Anders though.  Sadly, her life is about to get more complicated.  Her mama is missing.  OHNOEZ!!

I finished Alessandra II's main story run this evening. It was the fastest play through I've done out of all my Inquisitors. 50 hours. I'm sorting through my screenshots then I'll write a full update.

I'm pulling all my old "what did you do today" posts about my various quizzies and saving them for possible later fics or whatnot. I just have a bad feeling about this place with the closing of the OT thread and the other changes going on. I want what's mine before I can't access it anymore.  A lot of thought and time went into those posts and it's helpful to have "from the moment" reactions rather than relying on memory. I've made it to my third quizzy but still have a lot more to go. Of course, it would go faster if I'd just copy and paste instead of read them all first.  Ah, the memories! It's really like reading an old journal.
 
I found this reaction from the end of my first PT:

"Headdesk moment of the day: Dalish Inquisitor asks, "What's the Temple of Mythal?" Really??? A Dalish doesn't know who Mythal is?! Arrrgghhhh!!!"

 

There is now a mod that fixes this. I have it installed for my current game so my Dalish mage won't come off like a complete idiot when I get to Arbor Wilds.

 

And, somehow everything I copied over for Andariel got deleted so now I get to do it again.

Hopefully they won't do anything to the best thread on the forum. (Hear me, Bio? The best). But I can certainly understand wanting to keep a copy of your previous posts. The heady days of the first couple of months after the game was released and we were all playing it for the first or second time (or tenth in themikefest's case just kidding, Mike). They were good times I'll go on record right now as saying that if the thread is lost,/closed, it won't be my fault this time, I can promise you that.

Do you know what Inquisitor "Champion" Phrona Adaar does, when she's annoyed (which is most of the time)? She looks for a fight.

 

So where Inquisitor Adaar looked for fight this time? Exalted Plains. Wait, who she could fight there?

 

DRAGON.

 

So Inquisitor Adaar (level 13) took her boyfriend, Iron Bull (level 12), Fade freak, Solas (level 12) and cute spirit, Cole (level 12) for a walk. Boys totally didn't know what was coming. 

 

Gamordan Stormrider was coming (level 15).

Summary. At the end Inquisitor Adaar didn't even bother to revive her party. Who needed them.

Good idea on saving a copy of previous posts. I'm doing the same, because I'm writing extended stories after finishing my each of my Inquisitor's runs.

 

I wasn't here yet when the original thread was active, but seeing how everyone shared their DA experiences are both awesome and inspiring.

Wish I knew exactly how it works. I never got <insert warden> to talk to Morrigan before. But this time I went to the Winter Palace. I only talked to Hawke and Varric on the battlements beforehand. After Halamshiral I talked to everyone once, and met with Kieran & Morrigan in the garden. Then I unlocked Crestwood and went directly to Alistair. Back to Skyhold garden and there he finally was with Morrigan and Kieran.

This a conversation where I really get ticked off by Sera. Can she at least be more sympathetic to the situation? We've seen the Fade, demons, darkspawn, and etc. It is a very difficult claim that gods do not exist.

What happened after that Dragon fight? Well, Inquisitor Adaar dragged wounded asses of her party back to Skyhold... and it turned out she got back in time to hear the news. Earthquakes. Deep Roads. Darkspawn. Bad news for everyone. So, being fed up with how useless boys had been during Dragon fight, she called Cassandra, Sera and Vivienne and went to conquer Deep Roads. Ladies had lovely company.

Right now Inquisitor Adaar and her party rests in camp before descenting into Forgotten Caverns. That's gonna be fun with their level.

 

It seems you can loot Legion of the Dead armor schematic in Legion's camp, if you did't do that in Hissing Wastes.

 

Also, I just noticed that Phrona's eyes outer iris is blue. I didn't see that in vanilla game.

This a conversation where I really get ticked off by Sera. Can she at least be more sympathetic to the situation? We've seen the Fade, demons, darkspawn, and etc. It is a very difficult claim that gods do not exist. 

But that's not what she's claiming! She's not saying that they don't exist, but that they are demons, not gods. Personally I don't think that they are demons, but I do think that they are powerful magical creatures, and not "creators" of anything. Whether they are gods or not, well... That depends on the definition of god that you choose. They certainly are not the same category of God (all-powerful creator of everything) that the maker is supposed to be.

 

Edit: Actually it's the very fact that we've seen so many other powerful magical entities that aren't gods that makes me agree with her all the more.

She'd agree. She believes in the Maker. What she's saying is that the elven pantheon are demons and not gods, so the elven religion is false and based on demon worship. The problem is that when you have so many powerful magical creatures around, the lines get very blurred...
