I should say that I think that whole post-Mythal scene with Sera is one of the more confusing and frustrating in the game. It seems almost as though the Inquisitor and Sera are talking at crossed purposes. Quizzy seems to be talking about historical truth while she's concentrating on religious truth, and there's no way to investigate further and clear things up. This is made worse if you happen to be a Dalish who is in a relationship with her.
What Did You Do Today (in the DA 'verse) ? .... oops ;)

Toyed with Cullen's Lyrium addiction again. I do that often. Tell him to stop taking it watch him struggle and bit, then get him to cave. Rinse and repeat.

Good idea on saving a copy of previous posts. I'm doing the same, because I'm writing extended stories after finishing my each of my Inquisitor's runs.
I wasn't here yet when the original thread was active, but seeing how everyone shared their DA experiences are both awesome and inspiring.
Well, what would have been a really good idea is writing all that stuff in Wordpad in the first place and then copying it here, instead of the other way around I'm doing now. ![]()

I think you're right. They just don't seem to be talking about the same thing at all. Mythal, to me, is the one elven temple where we don't find any demons, so when Sera says the place was full of them, all I can think is she's lost what's left of her mind. 'Cause, she really should know by then what demons look like.

Yeah I think she's using "demons" as shorthand for "powerful magical creatures that aren't as powerful as the maker and so shouldn't be worshipped as gods" but as I say it's hard to be certain and it's frustrating that you can't have a more involved conversation about it.

Good luck with your 360! Let's hope your troubles with it will end soon!
That sounds really good! I hope this job will be what you want it to be
Yeah, I would really like to follow logic. Because if you think about it, the only one making sense is Hawke and his/her friend, Warden Stroud (with sibling as a Warden). Rest is just... far-fetched. Loghain or Alistair? How Hawke met them? They're not even Free Marches' Wardens. Still, even though it doesn't make sense, I like playing with them as "Warden friend".
To tell the truth if I was following logic all the time I shouldn't use half of the choices available in Keep
Yes, even Leandra mentions it in Act 1 (if you ask her). One of the banters with Tallis also mentions that.
Well, if you don't romance Cullen in Inquisition and have female mage Warden he sounds like he still has feelings for her.
I think that talk comes up after Arbor Wilds... or maybe after Morrigan shows Eluvian? I need to check my saves.
*goes to check saves*
Yep, it comes up after Arbor Wilds, after his praying scene.
I'm with Ashaantha on that. I think it was Flemeth's doing.
Have you played Last Court?
SpoilerBut well, I may change my mind after reading The Masked Empire.
Thanks! She's really special for me
You should start drawing again! DA stuff is definitely inspiring! *looks at prepared paper and pencils*
What a nice selfie
Urgh, everything is happening so fast here! Spent some days working and bang, I'm already lost ; I really have to catch up what's going on!
But thanks
I don't know why, I feel the same for my Warden... I love my Hawke and my quizzy, but the Warden
. I understand now why some people want to see them again.
I thought I'd be done with my drawing by now but I really suck with colours... still, I hope I can post it here by the end of the week.

She'd agree. She believes in the Maker. What she's saying is that the elven pantheon are demons and not gods, so the elven religion is false and based on demon worship. The problem is that when you have so many powerful magical creatures around, the lines get very blurred...
I don't quite agree. Sera's "belief" in the Maker is not what we usually consider as "faith". It's more like, the mysteries of the world don't make any sense, or are so far beyond the experience of little people as to be impenetrable. The Chantry stories about the Maker and Andraste kind of make sense, so, hey, she'll go with that as an explanation for the mysteries of the world. But they're still stories, to her mind. They are not "real real".
Sera:
"A magister who cracked the Black City? It's a hazy dream right? I mean, if it's real real then the Seat of the Maker? Real thing. A seat needs a butt so the Maker? Real thing. Fairy stories about the start and end of the world? Real things. It's too far, innit?"
Her world view is intensely grounded in mundane reality, so anything supernatural is frightening and probably a lie or a fever dream. Unrevealed mysteries are suspicious by nature and probably a set-up by some poncy muckity-mucks to get one over on the little people.
The conversation after the Temple of Mythal is Sera exulting in just such a lie being exposed. Elves all boo-hooing over being conquered by Tevinter? Get over it, they did themselves in. The line about the revealed history from the Temple vs. the Chantry stories as not fitting together is just Sera sticking with the explanation for the world that she's most comfortable with, and bugger everything else.
This is a characteristic that lead to a lot of players hating on Sera. She is so hidebound in her worldview. She clings to it desperately, despite revealed facts that she see's with her own eyes and/or kills with her own arrows. Such a high level of denial is Sera's central character flaw. You either love it or hate it.
(Sorry for pulling a chunk of the Sera permathread - 3940 pages and still going strong, and that's V2 of the thread - into our happy neighborhood tavern here -- next round is on me!)

Hmm... Actually I think the context of that that line reveals precisely that she's not hidebound in her world-view when it comes to the existence of the maker. She certainly is very set in her views in most other respects, but in this case she thought that the maker was probably just fairy stories and now she's having serious doubts. She wants to figure out whether the maker is real or not and that's part of her motivation for sticking around.

I should add that I think Sera's intransigence is due in large part to people telling her all her life that she's not a "real elf". She's so sick of it that she's become abrasively defensive.

Spent (still spending) the whole day- third in a row- farming FT silverite, FT plush velvet, and the store in Hissing Wastes (want a masterwork leather coat). With only a single FT silverite and 4 FT plush velvet (actually 12, but only 4 hidden blades ones), I'm thinking farming might not worth my time... What? It's my first playthrough. Not sure why the Short List doesn't just show everything new rather than forcing the player to exit and restart the game to get a single new item in there randomly (except that it repeats items, so I've seen some show up 5 times). After- oh, my, is it really like 30+ times?- too many times, I've gotten nearly all I could want from that store except the primary thing I wanted. Remind me to just accept inferior items next time and just play...
A moment in Emprise du Lion:
Aedlea: "Fereldens... Wait, but this is Orlais. Do they worship dogs in Orlais too?"
Varric: "Don't ask me. I'm from Kirkwall... where we venerate chained people..."
Aedlea: "Pardon me?"
Varric: "If you're ever in town just visit the Gallows and you'll know what I'm... nevermind... You Dalish worship a wolf anyway, right?"
Aedlea: "It's... different..."
Varric: "The Orlesians would just say 'touche.'"
