 I can't believe the serendipity of me deciding to buy all the schematics in my current game....just because. Now I will have all of them in all my games.  I bought all the ones at Stone-Bear Hold and still have oodles of gold left to buy stuff at BE. I might even have some leftover cash to buy influence when I'm done and max out my Inquisition level as well.

 

Anyone know how/if schematics will still generate in future games though? I mean, if you bought all the ones that shop X has, will they have any next time? Will they be ones you already have or different ones? Just how many variants are there?

Same here. I bought all schematics after finishing The Descent. Now I only wait to share them with others!

 

No, they'll not have new schematics. Shops have certain amount of schematics available and if you buy them all, there will be no more left. Just empty shop.

 

What I just realised is that it'll be way easier to 'remove' schematics from loot tables on different playthroughs, which means higer chance to get something you don't have.

 

At least for DAO/DAA there is a mod to raise the level cap to like 50, which is plenty even with doing all the DLC's. I wonder if someone will be able to create one for DAI?

True... but I don't really like modding my games. Even now, when I saw a way to stop modding DAI (bless wardrobe), I'm gonna drop mods after finishing The Descent with Connie. Even that change in Phrona's look is preparation for that.

I say give them a bit of time after patching is done. They may come up with something.

I know what you mean! I've seriously neglected my screenshot uploads for Tanith and now I have almost 600 that I need to go through?  

 

I get done playing and think, "I should only have maybe 50 from today," and then I go look at the folder and it's more like 150!

And I was so, so excited when they announced that schematics could be transferred. Finally being able to start another character and having all the pretty schematics for everyone available is such a relief and is going to make future playthroughs a whole lot easier to start, since I won't have to collect all the schematics again. Really, really excited.

 

Wait... WHAT?  I can't believe this!    Just when I decided that I'll restrict my next playthrough to crafted armour/weapons only*? *giggles madly* 

 

* with the exception of the initial gear, of course

Does anybody know why sometimes you can continuously use Whirlwind as long as you keep holding the button/key down, but sometimes it just doesn't work and you end up doing only 4 spins?

Just had to write that! The trailer during PAX used "bloody" in it, but the official trailer on YouTube was gold!   

 

I have no idea which of my post game Inquisitors will end their journey when the DLC is out. So hard to say goodbye

Today my Inquisitor tried to close or rather calm the Breach and then the Inquisition was officially founded.   Then I did a first round of shopping in the Black Emporium, only to find out that some of the schematics are buggy on Varric again and the lower half of the coat is missing. No idea why. Happened in the last playthrough as well and I was really hoping it would fix itself or wouldn't even be an issue this time around. Sigh.

 

 

 

Wanted to at least get to the Hinterlands today, but my allergies and lack of sleep had other plans, so that's still on the schedule for tomorrow. As is flirting with Solas, aww yiss.

I don't know for sure, but could it be some terrain or opponent's status thing? Something like when I use Spinning Blades and instead of nine hits I get two. :< Or it's some sort of unexplainable rng glitch. ^^;

Alessandra accepted the one time alliance much to Solas’ relief, however, Morrigan flew after Abelas after he vanished to destroy the well of sorrows. Following a sentinel guide, Alessandra, Rainier, Solas and Dorian ventured through a secret passage that’ll lead them to the well. 

Interesting choice. I always thought jumping down the hole was the darker option, particularly given what happens to Abelas in the end. You always have a story-based rationale for every decision, what's it for this one?

I brought Justice and Anders with me for the quest where you recruit Velanna because there is a hilarious moment involving them if you do.

Man, what a mistake. I lost a LOT of approval from Justice simply by letting her join in.

I guess it was hard to recognize Teagan because that hat is hiding his whole hair. And his beard is gone.

I felt siding with the sentinels made Alessandra II not appear as the bad guy to them like Corypheus and Calpernia. She wore her "Hero" mask. In a way, she was intrigued by the ancient Elves and wanted to learn more about them. Find something that's useful. That's why she kept Abelas talking, especially when he mentioned about the anchor's magic being familiar and that Tevinter didn't destroy the Elves. She also knew their numbers decrease during every invasion of the temple, therefore, she used that to her advantage to finish them off during the fight against Corypheus and his minions.

 

Then there's Morrigan, who drank from the well. Obviously, it sucks to be her that she now has to obey mother dearest for the rest of her life. I wanted Alessandra to be free; to continue her reign as leader without being controlled by strange voices and a so called deity. She's still a dark Inquisitor, but I also wanted her to remain smart and manipulative.

Well, well... Today, besides having mixed feelings about the new DLC (excitement and apprehension, as I don't like when things end), I also recreated my canon Cousland and my Hawke with the DAI CC. I'm a bit disappointed with the new Hawke, as it lost his "cold" look (pale skin, dark hair, blue eyes) that I liked in DA II.
