But in practice... I've never seen even one. And I played rogue twice with almost full search of everything. 

 

I did encounter one of the special warrior options, but only one time when I was at the Winter Palace and talked with Gaspard about the Champion spec of my Inquis. 

(Well that jerk insulted him and I insulted him back, not much 'talk' there.) 

 

But the rogue one? Not once, not that I can remember. 

Uh, thats kinda annoying, if anyone knows where exactly the rest of those options are, I'd be more than interested to know 

I mean, I also played most of the time with my canon mage Inquis, but I also have a lot of hours playing my warrior and rogue ones so that's more than just weird.

I think I remembered another one of the special warrior dialogue options. When you gathered the trainers in Skyhold and talked to Ser (the Templar trainer) you have the option to talk to Cullen about this specific specialization. 

And i think the icon is also the warrior sword & shield one, but it could have been the normal special star icon though, I'm not sure. 

2-handed Champion is a lot of fun btw! 

 

Anyway, this is actually kinda interesting. Don't think I ever saw that payment one too.

I always wish rogues and warriors also had special dialogue options when it comes to this kind of thing but then again, I don't even know what those would be.. 

I imagine something like that, for a dual wield rogue...

Throwing down a little venting here; getting so annoyed that my companions won't use fade step. You made it work for Calpernia why can't my mage team use it without me having to kick their butts   

 

Edit: Well, I did just now see Solas use his fade step finally. He actually went away from an enemy ground spell. Don't know if that was intentional or not, but it does work. Only after countless playthroughs do I finally see it in action. Now I can stop yelling at my mages, and I also had to disable all of his other abilities to get him to use FS. Tactics menu in DAI is crap   

 

I never even take fade step.  I prefer not to micromange my companions, And I've never once seen anyone use it.  Honestly when I mage I never even take it for myself.  I never think to use it and prefer more offensive spells.  But, I fully admit to an aggressive mage play style.  Gets me killed by rogues a lot though.  LOL!

So far today, I finished up most of the Hinterlands quests, missing only the area around the Mercenary fortress now. Also went to Val Royeaux and recruited Sera and Vivienne. Next up is talking to Vivienne and Sera, recruiting Blackwall and Bull and then heading to Redcliffe to talk with the mages. Hopefully I'll be able to reach Skyhold today or at least finish up allying with the mages.

I really want to reach Skyhold today, though. Mostly because then I'll have all my companions, all crafting possibilities like masterworks and runes, as well as all the maps available. And maybe because then I can finally start a romance with Solas and make out in the Fade, but who cares about that. Not me.

Had this mystery elf appear in Skyhold's undercroft today, and I just had time to take screenshots before she disappeared. Don't recognize her from anywhere, or her clothing. No interaction, no name above her head. She was just standing there and then she was gone again.

My Qunari Two-Hander made a lot of progress today.

 

First I went to Val Royeux to claim I wasn't the Herald of Andraste, then Lord Seeker Lucius has a Templar cold clock a Chantry Revered Mother and tell us to get bent. I recruited Barter by Belle on my way out, and accepting Fiona's invitation to meet the mages in Redcliffe.

 

I collected Sera's letters and dealt with her ambushed, but rejected her offer to join the Inquisition. Same with Vivienne, accepted her invite and told her I wasn't interested in her help.

 

I did recruit good-ole Blackwall to the party, though because there's no difference until after Haven I'm sticking with Cassandra as my Tank. 

 

We helped out Corproal Vale with his requests, defeating the Apostatses in the Witchwood and the Rouge Templars near Fort Conner, getting all 5 supply boxes, and getting a healer from Redcliffe. Afterwards his forces were recruited.

 

Speaking of Redcliffe, I met with Fiona to discuss the odd time-altering rift outside the town when I learned she was no longer the leader and instead I had to deal with this Tevinter guy named Alexius. I figured "whatever, as long as I get mages". Then our meeting was interrupted and he had to leave, afterwards I recived a letter to head to the nearest Chantry. On the way I recruited A Tranquil and a smuggler into the Inquisition. I entered the Chantry to find another time-altering rift being fought off by a mage clad in white. We teamed up and took care of the rift. He explained Alexius and his Time Magic and we decided to sit on his plea for help, there's more side-questing to be done!

 

I spoke with the cult leader and closed the rift in her fort, recruiting her to gather information. I received the potion from the son of the sick woman to help her, and recruited Lord Berand after telling him of his lovers fate.

 

I saved Ritts and recruited her. I returned the elf's wedding ring to her. and I found 10 ram meat for that guy with the campfire.

 

Solas stared sensing elven artifacts on the way to killing all the bandits. We took care of that and got him an Amulet of Power for his trouble.

 

After getting horses from Master Dennet, I help his farm in return. I saved the wolves from that Terror Demon, escorted the Druffalo back home, and placed watchtowers around the area. He was then recruited into the Inquisition

 

Once my level was high enough I entered the Fallow Mire to rescue our soldiers. Lighting beacons to keep the undead away, I eventually confronting the Hand of Korth in armed combat. We were low on healing supplies so it was a tense fight, and Cassandra actually dies once during the struggle, but he killed him eventually and I looted his axe as my new weapon for the remainder of Act 1. After rescuing our men, I recruited Skywatcher.

 

Making my way to the Grand Forest Villa to remove the bandits camped there, I hit level 8 and learn of the Carta holed up in Valamar.

After dealing with the Carta in Valammar, I recruited Iron Bull and went after Templars for the first time in 7 months of owning the game. In the end, they were disbanded into the Inquisition's new army and Cole joined the party.

Tomorrow will be the day of main quests, first recruiting the mages and then heading to Skyhold. I forgot to mention that I'm sorry for not sending any likes anyones way for a while since my 360 went down. I was on my PS 3 and 3DS and have been sick for a while (and still am in a way).

 

After I got my 360 back I still have been playing DAI because I got my female qunai mage, female elf mage, and male dwarf warrior to play.

 

I tried to create a mage, just for fun and in one of the scenes in the beginning I realised one thing:

As you can see, mage has unique option of "I don't need a staff", because mage, but a dual-wield rogue doesn't get anything even though Cassandra says 'weapon', not 'weapons'...

I soooo wanted to ask her "Which one?".... 

 

I noticed the similarities via the pictures and yeah I have noticed that mage gets tons of added social options. Like when judging Alexius you can choose the "mage option" which is to make him tranquil. Also early on in the town where you get mother gizzelle theres a mage elf woman (also a quest giver "LOVERS PHYLACTRY") that can be recruited either with Vivianne in the party or going with the mage option where you can suggest her using non violent magic methods to help people. She accepts and joins. Any class can pick the mage social option if you research it through the inquisition bonus.

 

I think rouges do get some options. I think you get some in the form of "coins"(?). However the biggest plus about rouges is you can unlock doors. However I still kind of feel rouges got jipped in DAI because in DA 2 in a side quest when someone threatens to kill someone if you don't drop your weapons. There is a option to "attack" if I remember right where rouge Hawke throws a dagger at the guy and kills the guy which frees the hostage and "SONOVA!" the other guys. I don't recall this being in anyway shape or form being in DAI

 

I am unsure about warriors having any options. I think there may be one or two in the form of a knight or something (not the black armored guy crossing his arms) but I don't remember how or when. I know warriors can bust down walls and it seems like they get a added dungeon where you get a 2H sword called the SYLVAN BLADE which you get after beating a horde of revenants.

 

I always wish rogues and warriors also had special dialogue options when it comes to this kind of thing but then again, I don't even know what those would be.. 

 

I think it would either be coins or a cloaked guy? I don't remember how or when.

I know there are certain trees availible when certain social options or powers are unlocked. The "Champion option" sounds like only if "champion was unlocked for your inquistor" and not if the person is just a warrior. To me it sounds like DAO with the sick Halla. If your mage research blood magic you can go with the "blood mage social option" to save the halla.

 

To be honest it seems like your characters race factors in a-lot more than what class you are. If your a elf you can speak dalish elf to people and get things done that way. The researchable options like "Thedas history" open a-lot of options too. Like when it comes to a-lot of judgments your inquisitor dictates politics and settles things more politically this way. This is usually picked by a "book option".

Payment I believe is in Cullens tree. The one dealing with crinimal orginazations. Usually this is solved by taking Varric unless you choose this option from the inquisition bonus.

 

I've done a-lot of humans and if I remember right it's like a guy holding a flag or something? I cannot remember dwarf but I think qunari is obviously a horned person's face for the qunari option.

Interesting on the warrior option and the moment. However again I believe payment is when you research the black market social option from Cullen's tree for the inquisition bonuses tree.
