Fresh from our travels on the Storm Coast, with Vivienne firmly in control of the not-so-unwilling-as-one-might-think Iron Bull, and with some new gear crafted in Haven, Harold led his inquisition buddies back into the Hinterlands to finally meet up with Master Dennet to see about some horses for the troops. Bio... Bio, Bio, Bio *sigh* We get on a horse, and run Seanna's little timed race to get used to controlling a mounted inquisitor. It's all good. I get it, I really do, but do we really have to do three races to complete the "quest"? They're no fun with keyboard+mouse, and so one race would suffice.
I promise, this is my first and last gripe about keyboard+mouse controls. Look. See? Fingers aren't crossed or anything!
Uh, anyway.... we then went around and solved all master Dennet's problems, only I can't recruit him just yet because Cullen was busy pimping out the troops for gold and couldn't get those watchtowers up as quickly as we all might've liked. He's on it now, though, and in about 20 minutes it'll be done. So in the meantime, I solved the last Hinterlands astrarium and went cave exploring. Picked up a decent dagger, which is inching me closer to respec'ing Harold to DW... but maybe not. He's become a deadly shot with a bow.... We also took the coward's way out behaved like a proper rogue should and stealthed Druffy the Druffalo past that rift by the river. I tried to get him to attack the demons but that damned beast didn't even want to step across a mud puddle, let alone attack anything.
Now we're on our way to Redcliffe to see what's going on up there. I want to hit the shops in the village, and pick up whatever quests are there to be picked up, before going back to the woods to find the claws off three great bears. Level 9 should be no trouble for that, right guys? Guys?
Also we have to go to Valammar, but I'm considering leaving that until we get to Skyhold. Haven't been to the Fallow Mire yet, either. I don't want to go there until I get the Deft Hands perk, so I can get at that grey warden loot for Blackwall and do everything else there all in one shot. Fallow Mire, though awesomely atmospheric, with lots of cool stuff and good fights, is kinda depressing with all the rain and the dead people and the dark of night thing it's got going on. So I wanna just go there once.
I read somewhere that there's a quick way to pick up the Deft Hands perk, and I did it with my very first ill-fated rogue, but I forgot. Anyone got any hints?
