So yes! *claps hands together*  Started playing Tresspassers today.

First off let me just say. Cullen's marriage to Kara was sweet. Touching, bit short, but sweet. Greg Ellis once more did a phenmonal job making him all nervous around her, and then the writers too. Textbook Cullen. And of course she had to say yes. Though I guess she is now Kara Rutherford. *shivers*

The rest of the cutscenes were pretty awesome. Dorian . And special kudos to...well actually I do not think I actually did not enjoy a single cutscenes from the game. Though I was a bit dissapointed, but thought it was a marvelous design on how the friendship system ended up working. I did not get a cutscene with Sera. It was painful to watch, but masterfully done (also why God invented youtube). So Cass, Bull, and Dorian will be my A team.

On the flip side though there is some actually descent gear in it. Bought the two handed weapon from the shop, and Kitty's Collar and Cass is now running around in her Divine armor

The politics are...interesting to say the least.

Yes but having Dorian turn up at the gates for In Your Heart Shall Burn is awesome! I much prefer him to Cole in that scenario.

 

Yeah, I did it once (ironically with a mage who romanced him).  But still.  I just can't.  Too much Dorian is never enough.  And I have no attachment to Cole either way.  I never kick him out of the Inquisition though, and he always likes me.  I just never use him.

Today I sent Miri Trevelyan to go shopping to the Crossroads mall. She found a very nice schematic on sale - and had to fight for it with other customers, but she want and immediately mailed it to her alternate-world-cousin Clover.

Today, I finished up the Western Approach with my archer, Haligh Lavellan, and did a bunch of personal quests. Then I got started in Crestwood and got as far as capturing Caer Bronach, when I got the itch to make the warrior that I've been planning on making to romance Sera. Because she is the cutest and I want to romance the cutest.  So here is Shea Lavellan, who doesn't look ridiculous at all holding a greatsword that is taller than her with one hand. 

 

 

 

Not sure yet if I'm going to finish up my archer playthrough first and then continue on with the warrior, who is currently still hanging out with Cassandra somewhere before meeting Solas and Varric or if I'm going to play both depending on which one I'm more in the mood for.

I wish the armor/schematics that you get (mostly in the DLC's) could be further customized by adding the arms and legs schematics like other armors. Most of the armors are the more unique ones like the Gray Warden armor. That's why I rarely wore the DLC armors because the stats usually aren't as good as the armor schematics you get in the vanilla game.

After finishing Trespasser with Haya yesterday, I went back to my current DAO PT (I don't have the heart atm to end Bruce's PT  )

 

While I probably should first post screenies from Haya's journey through The Descent and Trespasser and properly update you on my DAO PT, here's a little mini update:

 

DAO!Bruce just arrived in Orzammar, met Dagna ( ) and talked to Irving about letting her study in the Circle of Magi. She's currently on her way to Lake Calenhad

So... I started a second run of Trespasser with DW Assassin Natalia

Got caught up with everyone at the winter palace and some differences too. Free from the brainwashing Qun, Iron Bull has his Chargers family, and they gave him a birthday surprise. Krem and Maryden are dating thanks to Cole!

 

Sera asked Natalia if she wants to be a Jenny, and the lady said yes. She's a rogue anyway, so why not?

 

Thom Rainer also made an appearance after joining the Grey Wardens, so he and Natalia had a civilized talk until she remarked his dagger throwing sucks ;P

 

Then during the spa scene, stupid biatch Vivienne asked the lady Inquisitor how she was doing after the incident with Rainier. Hello?! It's been 2 fcuking years! That's like the last thing she wanted to hear! I mean... Yes, Natalia dated "Blackwall" before, but dumped his arse and booted him to the Wardens! She's with Cullen now and they got married!   I wish there was an option to let Sera plant a beehive in Vivienne's Maleficent hat, or Cullen's mabari pushes her into the fountain! 

 

Anyway! Natalia and Cullen getting married in secret was sweet  I like how the mabari was Cullen's best man. 

 

As for the tedious exalted council in this run, let's just say Natalia was getting sick of Arl Teagan and wanted to throw a few bricks, maybe drop an anvil on his head! Duke Cyril, nice guy, but he's a kiss up!

 

I haven't gotten too far with the Qunari invasion plot, but Natalia and her dream team consisting of Divine Victoria (Cassandra), Vivienne and Dorian are making mincemeat out of their enemies. However, I noticed Natalia and Dorian are having a bit of trouble with a few brutes and ranged attackers. Not to worry, I did a little adjustment to their gear

 

Lastly... I found Calpernia's armour and schematics! Hooray! Didn't get them during the first run, but I can now sync those with the golden squeaker. Also, Cullen's mabari found a beehive sword! This was from finding all of the dog treats and the cut scene was funny!

 

I'll finish this run soon. I made sure to get video clips and pics.

Solas'harel broke her heart again.  But she's a stubborn one, and isn't going to quit until she can change his mind.

 

Can't wait to play it with some of my other romances, Dorian and Cullen in particular. But those quizzies have some other DLC'ing to do first. And I might change all the difficulties back to casual from now on.  This time was on hard and I had to do the Saarath fight twice. NM would be....a nightmare.

Spa day, dahling!

Krem and Maryden (and Bull's attempts to give advice)

Finally figuring out the key to freeing the dang dragon (not so favorite part: cutscene afterwards appeared to be glitchy and was more like a slideshow )

Finding goodies hidden next to wolfy statues (though I didn't get them all first time through)

Catching up with Solas....I almost cried. Poor Tanith.   I don't know if I can do that again with Andariel (she's my first quizzy, and she also romanced Solas)

During the credits, Cassie reads aloud from Varric's latest book and imitates everyone's voice. It's so good, almost my favorite part of the DLC. Almost.

Next I will finish my current ME3 playthrough then I will either play Elder Scrolls or start all over in Dragon Age from scratch, and try to pick races, classes and overall roleplayed choices as what I think best fits the current overall story.

The closest Inquisitor that I would call canon, is Miri Trevelyan. She's an archer. Or... was an archer.

The end of Trespasser is terrible for all Inquisitors, but everyone else can retain at lease some of their fighting competency - DW rogue and S&S warrior will use one of their weapons, 2h warriors can start using something they can hold in one hand, mages... do you remember the "I don't need a staff" thing?

But archer? Sadness, much sadness, many tears. On top of not being able to stop Solas, Miri now falls into the deepest depths of depression of being useless. I would like to headcanon the events after the Trespasser and I have no idea how to make her overcome it.

 

So... what would you recommend for an ex-archer to become and feel useful again?

Today, I decided that the last three shards in the Forbidden Oasis could bite me even though I'd gathered all others hidden around Thedas. I very reluctantly allowed my Mage Inquisitor's journey to come to an end after that (at least until I get Trespasser)... all the while one of the metal plates on her armour floated around her arm as if possessed by some form of demonic magic.

I started a new playthrough with my canon Inquis and turned on some of the new trials, it's ridiculous but also ridiculously fun! 

If you turn on walk softly: Not sure if it's a bug or supposed to be like this, but it seems like you can't destroy the barrier of some of the elite spellbinder without dispel. Like, at all.

Don't worry, remember we have Dagna. I'm sure she can give all our Inquis a badass enchanted metal arm. Featuring class related abilities, which I'm totally not sure about but I know it will be awesome!

its Maryden and Cole who are together.  Cole also sounds much more human after two years.  It's refreshing.    Also at the spa day, since Viv and Cait were not really friends she managed to get in a jab about Cait's "incompetence"  Frenemies for life.  And lastly, I made sure Caitlyn married Cullen so they can have adorable curly haired magelets together. 

 

Oh, and one more thing:  WHY IS DORIAN LEAVING ME TO MAGISTER?!  *weeps inconsolably*

 

On finishing the Descent.. can I just say.. am I the only person who felt the mage armor  you get there made their inquisitor look fat?  I'm way too sensitive to looking fat, I guess.  Old former fat girl habits die hard.  I played it on nightmare.  I don't think it was as difficult as JoH.   I had to dial the difficulty back at one point in Hakkon, but never did in the Descent. 

 

Anyhow, we'll see how things go in Trespasser.  I have only just stepped through the mirror..
