after getting my computer to behave, and now having completed Trespasser twice, I now am getting ready to finish collecting all the Achievements...

 

although some of them are gonna be tough... so much to attempt to figure out. however I need to be careful, my poor laptop can barely tolerate playing DAI.

 

Since I glitched Cole's personal quest, he made no appearance in Kalros' run through Trespasser, just as i could not take him to fight Cory-butt. In fact no one knew of anyone named Cole .

On this episode of Dragon Age Inquisition, the Plotens thickens:  

 

So I am dead dog tired from a combination of work and stubbourness, but I am being most sticktuitive.  Anyways though I kinda figured that. A. because this might be the last chance to do them and I want to do them and B. because I am so tired, that I would focus on some of the side content on the DLC.  That being said:

It is interesting the Qunari in this, at least some of them, seem to be really gearing up for war. They are making gatlock, they are mining lyrium (in a spring that the more of it they mine the more there seems to be hmmm), and sticking it in mages.

From a practical stand point though it makes sense. Virtually ALL the major Southern Powers are there at Halamshiral, the Chantry, the Orlesian Government, and the Ferelden Government, plus the Inquisition itself. For the first time, especially with the exile of the Wardens and the dissolution of the Templar Order. If they strike they could decapitate/ paralyze their opposition in one fell swoop.

BUT this strikes me as an act of extreme desperation, they are messing ith things that ought not to be messed with.

 

Also the "I see you Inquisitor" Was such a General Chang rip off.

 

As an aside I think I enjoy the new fade step toggle, reminds me of Ciri's step in the Witcher 3.  So new head canon accepted.

During the credits, Cassie reads aloud from Varric's latest book and imitates everyone's voice. It's so good, almost my favorite part of the DLC. Almost.

Ullia met her favorite person wanting to lay on the ground as usual. (I still don't know what's up with this guy. lol).

 

 

Ullia met with the noblewoman she was suppose to meet to get the Du Pariquttes back to noble status. Ullia convinced (not through sex: "Get the pliers?") her by allowing trade between the inquisition, Montelleyttes and the noble woman's people.

 

  

 

because of that Josephine is no longer a target.

 

 

I am kind of having issues leveling up because some guys seems to be hard to kill for some random reason in the exalted plains and Meadows so i started hitting the Hissing Wastes. I made crazy progress there already by bashing every portal on the maps southern side and took three camps from the venetori.

Vlah'Nu felt the one chantry prietess deserved to be popped in the face but felt they were jerks for not helping fight the breech. after snagging three random red notes and getting a inventation she was greeted by Fiona to get the help of the mages instead of the templars. This turned off Cassandra (slightly disapproved) but as a fellow mage she wants to meet the mages.

It's totally worth it, Mike. I dunno how much of it you watched on youtube, but there is a lot of good stuff in it: story, character interaction, gameplay, good fights and fun ones, even for a casual gamer like me

Natalia Trevelyan Rutherford's time as Inquisitor has ended...

I finished Trespasser today with her and it was both bittersweet and a lot of fun. Every time I play as Natalia, I always enjoy her adventures more than my other Inquisitors. In fact, she's actually my canon. 

 

Moving on to the last parts of this DLC, Natalia, Dorian, Vivienne and Cassandra dished out the Qunari at their strongholds and freed the imprisoned dragon. Figuring out how to align those torches took a while, but at least the dragon was alive! Then the last few mob battles leading up to the encounter with Solas were challenging. Natalia and Dorian were K.O'ed, but lucky for Vivienne she had resurgence to rescue them. The final fight against the sarebaes, that guy put up a challenge, but the dream team took him down quickly.

 

So, Solas aka. Fen'Harel and the Inquisition's fate. No surprise, Natalia vowed revenge after finding out what the ancient knife eared bastard did, and what he planned to do next. She once considered him a friend, but is now a sworn enemy. As for the Inquisition, Natalia decided to formally disband. Best friend and Divine Cassandra was understanding. However, she, Cullen, Leliana and Scout Harding secretly assisted the "retired" lady Inquisitor in her plot against Solas.

 

Lastly, the group scene on the balcony. After everyone left and Natalia and Cullen were together, Divine Cassandra came back to stand with them. I guess Cassie wanted to give her divine blessing to the newly weds and gush over details. Such a romantic!

 

By the way, Cullen's mabari... I named him Jace in this run. The name stuck, so yeah... I still can't believe he got that beehive sword earlier and laid it on the ground in front of Cullen! I can imagine the scene now...

 

"Maker's breath! Jace!" Cullen shouted as he ran around the winter palace courtyard, trying to get away from the swarm of bees.

 

Jace chased after his master with the beehive sword in his mouth.

 

Nobles and passers by screamed in terror when they saw the two coming their way.

 

Natalia stood at a distance clutching her sides from laughing so much. Should she save her husband? Nah... This was way better than having to go to the exalted council 

 

And that's a wrap!

I just....can't....do it with another character yet. I replayed Tanith's end convo with Solas (and sat thru all the credits this time ) and I'm actually kind of glad I missed that the first time. It was great and hilarious, but it would have ruined....er, well....intruded on??....the trauma of a Solasmance ending.

 

I'm actually surprised there aren't more screenshots posted here from Trespasser. I have a boatload to go through so be prepared for more forum spam tomorrow.

I started Trespasser with Snow White. The beginning was truly lovely, especially her romance with Thom.   

Plus, now I don't have Cassandra as the Divine, so I could notice some... decorations on her armour:

I can honestly say that the Trespasser DLC is better than the Citadel DLC(ME3). While the Trespasser carries some elements from the Citadel DLC, the Trespasser DLC did what the Citadel DLC did not which was expanding on the ending of the main game. Trespasser isn't a DLC that can be brushed off aside nor is it irrelevant(The Citadel DLC, while it can break the atmosphere, it isn't vital to the main plot nor is it relevant to the plot but mainly a filler that was weak). I loved the Citadel DLC, but the Trespasser DLC really surprised me. We all know Citadel DLC is basically fan service, and maybe the Trespasser DLC is too to an extent, but it showed how it was relevant to the plot and how everything came together.  

 

 

 

It's funny how the DA:I DLCs can relate to the ME3 DLCs:

Jaws of Hakkon - One of those must-have DLCs, because it deals with the past and lore just like the Leviathan DLC.

 

The Descent - An iffy DLC, and unless you like Dwarven lore, it's not for you. Sort of relates to the Omega DLC, because if you don't like fighting and you don't like Aria, it's not for you either. $15 may be too much. 

 

Trespasser - Somewhat of a fan-service DLC(I could be wrong on "Fan-service"), and has a lot of squadmate interaction along with fighting new faction. Same with Citadel DLC, because it's a fan-service DLC with a lot of squadmate interaction too and you fight a new faction too.

Well just finished Tresspassers.  And I am bouncing around like a mad man commenting on it!

Never have I, (or Caitlyn) been so appreciative of necromancer abilities until now.  Caitlyn and co were exploring the mirrors when the librarians descended upon them.  Everyone died.  Well, everyone save Dorian.  He just kept regenerating health due to the masterwork on his staff and killed those librarians mostly by his lonesome.  I knew there was a reason there were two supply crates in that room.  Ugh. 

 

Anyhow, I have Dorian using a Wrath of Lovias staff with a masterwork that generates 1% of your health on hit.  But I crafted a second staff.  Wondering if this one using Encore schematic and fade touched Dawnstone that heals 25% of heath over 10 seconds will be as good for him or if I should keep him with WoL.  Opinions?

 

 

 

Also, I noticed this while playing the Descent.  Caitlyn has Fire Mine but does not have it specced because space (and I swapped her over to Electricity as her primary so as to not duplicate Dorian).  I took this screen shot while I was controlling Sera and you can see that Caitlyn is using Fire Mine.  I've never seen my Quizzy use a spell or ability that was not specced before.  Is this a new thing since the last patch?

I'll tell only one thing - I love buffs Encore can cast. As for that... Do you think Dorian can kill fast enough to make use of that beautiful Heal on Kill? If so, I would use crafted Encore.

Tho screw that. Encore has a chance to cast healing buff. Go Encore.

 

As for the skills... Now that you mention it I noticed it as well. Viv getting into melee range to use Spirit Blade when I definitely don't have it in skill slot,, for example... Hmnm... Yeah... I must check it... When I get to game where I have more than 8 skills

So Trespasser thoughts:

The ending was pitch perfect. It was amazing. Because I mean I was a little bored, and a little tired up to it, I mean it was good, don't get me wrong, but I was enjoying Descent more. But the ending. First off, just amazing. Fighting through waves of Qunari, all throughout, and just kicking so much butt. I yelled out in emotion slicing through all of them because I was like JUST GET OUT OF MY WAY. But I was not frustrated, I was immersed, and I just wanted to get through them in order to save Kara and get to the end.

And then the ending itself. God that last boss fight was so intense and so much was going on in it. It was cool. And then the ending. It was like...omg its Solas...omg what is going on with Kara please save her *whimper* BUT then when he revealed, Solas that is, what happened to Mythal. I lost it. That is when the feels train began. The dialog choices were pitch perfect the wanting to save Solas from himself...man he is like Ultron but fifty times more awesome and ironically I respect and can see his choices. He is dead wrong but Kara does not want to kill him over it. But save him. Redeem him, prove to him there is something worth saving in humanity, that there must be a better way forward. Pitch perfect, aboslutley ****** perfect. Just so amazing. And then he says 'I would love to be wrong one more time.' This is a man who is not a monster, he just feels he is being driven to do a terrible thing because he honestly feels he has no other choice. Anders 2.0 really.

And then that last descision. There was a line in it, given what I chose where I yelled YELLED at nearly the top of my lungs "YEAH" and pumped my arms so bad I think I kinda hurt myself. And the epilogue. And Cass's reading.

I found an edited PS3 save file with max money in the beginning of the game and decided to play it. It's a male mage at level one. Or it was until I progressed the plot.

 

the date of the save was November 15, so this was obviously made without the Black Emporium in mind. Once I got the chance I cleaned the BE out of it's schematics and crafted level 19 weapons for everyone.

 

I think this gives me a good idea of what the Golden Nug statue will do for next gen users. And myself in the future when I upgrade. 

 

I'm going to keep playing around with it, becuase I think it's funny.

Alright so got off starting Kara over from the beginning to make sure I get better video and pics.  And its working.  Also can avoid certain things.  BUT I did not create a save before I started 'oops' but luckily had one other...before I started.  Anyways though the amazing thing is...I played Descent twice.  The first time I played Descent I created this save after it.  Then I reloaded it, went back to the beginning, and started over again.  This is the playthrough/ time line that got used for Tresspassers.  But here's the thing.  THe first time I did Descent I picked up the 'superb ring of life drain'  the second time I did I did not get the ring.  I now have it for Tresspassers.  Those Qunari are gonna DIE.
