Oh no!
This is terrible, terrible news!
Cassandra's been so busy killing everything we come across out there on the Plains that she hasn't had time to read the latest chapter of Swords and Shields that Varric wrote just for her (at my request). So my little elf mage decided to give her a few days off, now that we've killed the knight she was after. She's earned it. Uh, That's not the terrible news, although Cassandra might disagree.
Sera looks ready to strangle Solas the moment she thinks I'm not watching, just for being so elfy. So my little elf mage thought it might be better if they got out of each other's sight for awhile, even though she'd probably let Sera get away with the strangling. Solas kinda is too elfy. And Sera? Well, Sera can get away with an awful lot around me.
No, that's not the terrible news either, though Sera might disagree.
In fact, she knew we needed a substitute tank to take Cassandra's place for awhile, and she came up with the idea that, while we were crafting some new gear for Blackwall down in the Undercroft, we should buy him a magical potion of Forget-Everything-You-Know-Or-Think-You-Know-And-Then-Learn-New-Stuff, and then tell him it would make him irresistible to the tavern minstrel.
Sigh. Her prankiness is infectious
Uhh *ahem* ... so the potion just made Blackwall smell even
more like horse --
not the terrible news, though the horses might disagree -- and I figured I better go warn the minstrel of her impending company. Maybe she'll write a song about Grey Wardens and their Horses just for him.
Where was I? Oh yes, the terrible news bit. When my little elf mage walked into the tavern, she bumped into a shy, stammering, nervous dwarf named Rat, who claimed to be Sutherland's squire and she had -- you guessed it -- terrible news. You know who Sutherland is, right? He's the young inquisition recruit we, uhh, recruited, and he's been doing a bang-up inquisitiony job for us out there in Fereldan. He's quite good at whatever it is he does, and he's even formed his own company of merry travelers. He seems like such a good guy, and I really want things to work out for him.
But he's been taken by whoever he was fighting on his last mission for Leliana.

This aggression will not stand, man.
Rat gave us a map, which my little elf mage has shown her advisors and we're deciding what to do about it right now. Josephine wants to spread word of a massive hunt in the area and have the nobles find him while they pretend to be mighty hunters.... *sniff* I suppose that
could work. Leliana says she has a "rookery of black wings ready to signal a search".... Maker, what does that even mean? Doesn't she care about her protege? Cullen wants to send in the troops to scour the area until Sutherland is found. I like Cullen

I think I'll go with his plan. It's gonna take awhile though, so...
Back to the Plains with the other two elves and the horse-guy.
