In Your Heart Shall Burn... If I didn't get all those Red Lyrium Dragon and Haven at night sceenshots from Phrona's playthrough, it would take me hours once again. Well, it's still took me hour and a half, but definitely less than what would happen if I made more screenshots.

Sacha, stabbing lady, was really smug after firing her first trebuchet...

...but second try made her regret her life choices.

Of course I couldn't miss that chance and made nice snow walk screenshots :D

While walking in the snow I had a thought. Do you think any of many, many Quizzies would... (Trespasser spoiler)

Not really, when the merchant in The Descent was a mistake, and the Golden Nug means you only ever have to buy each schematic once now.

That means they're encouraging massive grinding, especially from the Jaws of Hakkon DLC. The Golden Nug can't give you back your money nor unique/rare/common/crafted items. That weapon in the store in Trespasser: The Clasping Maw Greatsword is sold for 184,680 without discount, and you probably may have to not even spend one lick of gold to even afford that in Trespasser. If you don't have JoH, or you didn't save the rift goo, it would be close to impossible to afford it. Of course, I have 1,140,000 Gold due to the Merchant + grinding from selling JoH rift goo weapons, but all I can say is that without JoH, I'd dead broke.

Continued my Elise inquisitor playthrough.

The templars have joined the inquisition.

Everyone was at Skyhold now, but everything that led up to their arrival there only reinforced Elise's opinion that magic needed to be contained.

Elise avoided Solas after their last arguement, his manner was calm enough but his eyes, he looked like he was a hairs breadth from wanting to strangle her.

He could activate his own artifacts.

The grey warden, told her flat out he did not like her. Well he could collect his own grey warden trinkets as well.

Dorien on the other hand, gave her a bit of an angry speech but it was impossible to be mad at him. He was quite dashing really.

He stopped his tirade and asked her what she was smiling about.

She thought he was geniune but would still have him watched, no exceptions, mages belonged in circles.

Elise was collecting more than a few angry followers.

Vivienne made a big fuss of Elise, which was nice after all that had happened.

Then meeting that other mage, the one who's friend murdered all those people. It was difficult for Elise to stand there and listen politely while wanting to call the templars.

Elise met up with Cullen who was looking very tired. They talked about what had happened, there was an unmistakable spark between them. They spent a great deal of time discussing the general direction the Inquisitin was to take and it's policies.

Cole was something different. Not a mage, and it felt strange a little alarming being indebted to a spirit.

When she first saw Cole again she had to fight an urge to hug him in thanks.

She had Leliana watch Cole but not to make him feel threatened. Elise felt drawn to Cole and spent a great deal of time talking with him.

Elise looked over Skyhold from the main balcony and sighed, there was such a lot to do.

She needed more training having barely survived the attack and the war between the rebel mages and renegade templars still raged in the Hinterlands.

It was time to do something about that.

/edit    I'll have to restart Elise's story. Quite a few quests closed moving to skyhold, I can't continue a play through with that somethings gone wrong feeling.  It doesn't worry me though, I'll probably still be playing this game up until the next DA is released.

Continued Descent with Julia. Made it to the final area but won't get to finish until tomorrow. Found all the gizmos this time so I won't have to backtrack for those. :D Just need to set Cullen up to mine some silverite and I'll be good. Crafted a defender shield for Blackwall but can't bring myself to make any of that ugly armor for anyone. Also, I am runeless atm, so no use making new staffs. <_< The merchant at the Deep Roads camp really needs to sell blank runestones. I tried out the "wield it like a sword" mage weapon but I didn't really like it. I prefer having ranged attack as well as melee with KE, but that makes her all melee.

Three weeks? Well, for starters the Trespasser DLC, that gives the ending. It's excellent. The only people disappointed are those who puth their hopes in romancing Solas or into my-decisions-on-mage-templar-question-will-matter.

But you can get great schematics and with Golden Nug you can give them to your lowbies.

In short. Trespasser DLC (with Trials, new schematics, items and new skill upgrades), Golden Nug, Wardrobe and arguments, many of them.

It still baffles me. Mage/templar decision was never important, even in base game. The only difference it made on post-Haven game was who you were dealing with. I would agree with them if it was implied that the group you didn't support was completely destroyed. But we know it isn't true. So argument 'my mage/tempar decision didn't matter', with Trespasser in mind, is pretty pointless, IMO.

As for Solas. I actually like his romance ending. Fits him.

Hi guys and gals :D It's me, your absentee thread-starter! My apologies for not being around so much the last little while. I'm here in spirit, really I am, and you've all been doing such a wonderful job of keeping things running smooth that I was never worried we'd be okay. Okay? we're thriving. All kinds of new people have been contributing. It's awesome.

Uc8GvqY.gif
Hi new people. Keep contributing. Sporkisalive Productions is happy to have you on the team.

It's good to be typing in the thread again, and I swear on the Golden Nug that I will be adding some things from my own Trespasser PTs soon *cough*. I've been sorting through so many thousands of Trespasser screenies -- I'm not kidding, guys n gals; there are thousands and I'm not even finished my second time through the DLC  -- and typing up a post.

DTF6Bea.gif
As anyone who's had a conversation with me here online can attest, this is an accurate depiction of my typing skills.

So there I was, sorting through screenies, typing away on a first draft post, when I got a little notification in my pm box. Very gingerly, so as not to mess things up in any way -- people here from the beginning will recall that I deleted the entire topic once unintentionally -- I opened up the PM:

MenJN4r.gif

And was told that we here, we amazing Inquisition players, have reached page 400, in this most awesome of awesome threads. Four Hundred. I know people who post in the truly large threads on this forum may not be too impressed by this fact, but I want you all to know that I am. I think it's...
lOxAE4H.gif

And I hope we continue for another four hundred.

Welcome back, Spork! We missed you and yay for us reaching 400! :D

DA gaming wise, I rolled my new lady mage, Celeste and once again allied with the templars with Ser Barris alive and well. The battle at Haven after sealing the breach went by fast, because the Herald and her team consisting of Cassandra, Bull and Vivienne were well equipped. They managed to rescue the majority of townspeople, but for the first time, quartermaster Threnn died at the hands of the Venatori. Bull also got K.O'ed while trying to save her.

The lady Herald successfully escaped Haven after her initial encounter with Corypheus, and guided the survivors to Skyhold. She was officially crowned Inquisitor and Knight Enchanter. Varric introduced her to his friend, Hawke, to fill her in about Corypheus and where he planned to strike next. Cassandra will be really cheesed off when she finds out eventually.

I'm now on a war table hunt to get the Blade of Tidarion for my Knight Enchanter and Griffon Mail. Although that's medium armour, I saw a 2H warrior wear it in a video tinted in black, red and gold.   I also didn't know sigils and some of the accessories from Trespasser are showing up in the main story. That's really cool  B)

Is "Rift Goo" a technical term?  I am not a grinder in terms of money.  I've never come close to getting 100,000 in money.  I just don't have the patience to farm.  So generally I get what I get and make do.  LOL!

In Ameerah's game, I've noticed since the last patch that she is getting companion quests much faster than any of my characters have.  Not sure if that is a thing or I'm just better at getting approval.  But I don't think that is the case at all.

Anyhow, she did Bull's quest:

11261797_10153118342941088_6752271456191

Chargers for life, yo!  Also, I experienced those upgraded  trials enemies on Bull's mission.  The mage was a level 16  (I was 13) and he kept dispelling my barrier, then trying to hit me with serious electricity damage.  But I won out in the end.

Found this fancy "great axe" in the Astrarium cave on the Coast (before only the bane of red crossing was in there - at the time I had Blackwall with me which is why you see me comparing it to his 1H weapon).

12042868_10153118282421088_3143316433883

Looks like this... (looks more like a staff, truthfully!)

2Handed mage sword!!

Bears. But Storm Coast bears, not Hinterlands bears..

11209454_10153118157961088_4399889096182

And I've cleared out the Storm Coast.  :)

Yes, this is not red. It's even less red than when I dyed my hair! (and my hair is naturally dark, so dyeing it is sad)

Wow, such screens!  Gotta check that stuff out sometime.  Still trying to remember how to play after 3 weeks.  Seriously, I just killed the Fade-touched spider in the Basin (sounds like a shower nightmare) and took out the Hakkonites guarding the temple and it was as if I hadn't played before.  Now I have to figure out where those last few shards are so I can solve the Mystery of Winter (before winter....)  And, give Finn his critter trophies, and whatever else I forgot.

I did manage to take one screen of Dorian looking devilishly handsome.

I just got some of the Dragon Age books: The Artbook for Inquisition (it's soo pretty!!!) and 3 of the novels: The Stolen Throne, The Calling & The Last Flight.
I'm not sure which novel to read first? Can anyone recommend a certain order?
Was thinking about starting with The Stolen Throne because I really want to know if this will change my opinions on Loghain.  :bandit:

(Also: yay for the 400!)

If you want to read them in chronological order then:

The Stolen Throne -> The Calling -> Last Flight

There's also Asunder and The Masked Empire between The Calling and Last Flight.

Thanks! I'm waiting to buy Asunder and The Masked Empire though, didn't want to spend too much money at once.

Really excited to finally read some of the novels now that the big waiting game begins... B)

^_^ Yes he did. Two years spent frolicking with the Avvar, covered in mud soul-searching in the Frostback Basin doesn't mean he can just show up at such an auspicious reunion looking like a barbarian. ...at least, not without any goats to fling.
