Completed JoH and Descent... not exactly all today but just finished.

 

In Jaws of Hakkon I discovered the "Jaws" of Hakkon... Anyone else see this shark fin make its way down the central river?

 

Blackwall: "Get out of the water! It's a shark!"

Aedlea: "It's not even a foot deep..."

Mayor Larry Vaughn: "No sense panicking everyone in the middle of tourist season."

Aedlea: "What tourists? Poison spiders? Lurkers? They're not panicked- don't worry..."

 

Then off to stop earthquakes...

Harding: "Have fun! And don't get slaughtered by darkspawn while you're down there. Wouldn't want to have to find your remains and scrape them off the floor of the Deep Roads."

Aedlea: "Thanks for the words of encouragement before entering the most dangerous DLC."

Cole: "Immense pain, keep them away, crush them, kill them before they get there-"

Solas: "Yes, I feel it too, Cole..."

Aedlea: "You guys really aren't helping."

Harding: "Buy me a souvenir mug or t-shirt while you're there!"

 

Then a slew of fantastic area designs...

Solas: "The lyrium here radiates as intensely as blood pumping through the veins of a predator during its hunt."

Aedlea: "I know! This is so cool, right?"

Solas: "Uh... yes... as you say..."

 

 

Aedlea: "And look! Those stalagmites come from waaaay up at the ceiling somewhere..."

Solas: "Those are stalactites. Stalagmites are the ones rising from the floor."

Aedlea: "We must not be looking at the same thing. Can't you see them?"

Solas: "Yes, well... perhaps we should get moving..."

 

 

Aedlea: "We actually got to the bottom right where this hidden sea is washing- wait. Why is it so choppy? There's not even a wind."

Blackwall: "Doesn't bode well. Maybe that titan thing is kicking it up."

Valta: "It isn't in keeping with the rhythm I'm sensing."

Aedlea: "Maybe it's not a very musical titan. hahaha"

Valta: "I'm... not sure that-"

Aedlea: "Right! Onward then!"

 

 

Solas: "If a Titan were to live anywhere, this would be the right place for it."

Aedlea: "This place is totally cool!"

Solas: "Yes, you mentioned that before..." *sigh*

 

 

 

Kudos to area designers...

 

 

And then the gripping conclusion...

Aedlea: "Wait- what do you mean we're inside the Titan? Like, this place is its guts or something? Gross."

Valta: "The Titan isn't a creature like you or I. It has-"

Aedlea: "Because I came all the way down here looking for your Titan, and now I can't even see one?"

Valta: "Actually you are seeing one, closer than anyone has for centuries-"

Aedlea: "I mean, I killed all those poor dwarves to get here."

Blackwall: "They didn't exactly throw out the red carpet for the Herald though, did they?"

Aedlea: "Yeah, but the point is, I killed so many-"

Blackwall: "I remember killing a few myself..."

Solas: "It has been an ordeal for us all..."

Aedlea: "Fine. WE killed so many... and these guys have been down here- doing whatever- for all this time. And no one even asks us what for?"

Valta: "The Titan is speaking to me. I have to stay. It's going to be great."

Aedlea: "Oh, fine, it talks to you. Sure it does. Well, if this is its guts, show me where the mouth is so I can have a word with it myself about those earthquakes and sending all those She-Brittles after us to-"

Valta: "Shia-Brytol warriors. They are here to protect the... uhh..."

Aedlea: "What? What are you looking at... Oh, no. He's doing it again, isn't he? Behind me? Cole!!? Will you stop giving people that creepy stare?"

Cole: "I'm not sure. Will I?"

Aedlea: "Always the smart alec... Wait, where did Valta go? That was it?! I have more questions!"

I've been thinking... Before Trespasser came out I was upset that Tressa got Vivienne as Divine. It seemed the only blot on a playthrough that had worked out perfectly for me otherwise.

Now, though, I've been thinking about it and I'm actually quite pleased that Tressa took the Inquisition away from Vivienne. This scene with the women of the SecretQuisition all working together to find Solas independently of the Chantry is pretty awesome, and I think it's a great ending to Tressa's story...

 

 

 

 

 

Yeah I think Tressa will be my canon Inquisitor as-is. I like how her story went and have no regrets, which really surprises me for a first completed playthrough.

 

I wanted her to meet new people, gain new perspectives and lose her faith, and that all happened organically. Sera's romance was amazing, and to finish operating outside of Chantry control with her lover at her side and close friends about her is as good an ending as I could've hoped for I think. I'm pleased that a character I put quite a bit of thought into before the game even released worked out so closely to how I envisaged.

Side note: Am I the only person who thinks that the Inquisition throne is the least impressive looking throne?  It looks like a bad High School art project.  Someone took the ugliest cast off chair they found by a dumpster or $2 garage sale chair and welded on some ridiculous cast off metal shop scrap cuts. Then someone in sewing class sewed on the Inquisition logo.

Nah I agree. It's rubbish. I just went back to my Dwarven warrior Solvi's game and gave her the legacy Kirkwall throne. It's perhaps a little too far the other way. It's huuuuge!

I'm partial to the stone one that has the owl carved into it.  Legacy Ferelden?  #TeamOwl.   At least, I think it's an owl.    Sadly, I feel like that one would be incredibly uncomfortable on one's butt, since it has the ridge in the middle where your booty goes.  That one needs a cushion!

I ended up disbanding the Inquisition.  My thought process was that the Inquisition already had Solas' spies in it, and it would be easier to find him and save him from himself this way.  But oh man, was that intense.  It made me cry, haha, but I really liked it.

 

Oh, and Aela got a sweet crossbow prosthetic arm and became a Red Jenny with Sera, so I say it's a win-win.  I didn't like Sera after my first playthrough, but she grew on me.

 

Time to make some more videos!

Yeah I also never did something like this before and I have to say it was so very satisfying. I also don't recruit Vivienne any longer, I just don't meet up with her in the first place. 

Now I'm thinking about farming Solas disapproval so I get the punch the Egg scene...

I've done a playthrough not recruiting everyone. Of course Varric, Cassandra and Solas will be with the Inquisitor for the whole game. If you want to go solo, don't take anyone on any quest

Finished up Jaws of Hakkon with Julia.

 

Note to self: In addition to always bringing Dorian for his "We have a bear. Hooray!"  comment during the raid, also always bring Cass. I didn't bring her this time and the conversation with Ameridan was so much shorter without her asking about the Seekers. Without that part, it was over before I realized it.   

 

The Gurd battle bugged out same as last time. Stick figures and not all the cronies died with him. Why things that worked fine before don't work now is beyond me.

Same here. Out of the additional DLC thrones (however DRAGON MAW was LEGENDARY EDITION ONLY) Dragon Maw is the best. The Ferelden legacy one looked awesome.

Ah, I thought you got it normal way (and completionist in me started to panic).

When you think about that, this is the only schematic we have yet to find from Rynas' list of schematic paths. We know how to aquire the rest.

Right now I'm working on my dwarf completionist pt, so I hope I'll be able to find it (even if I'm not going to use it). Something tells me it may be next trial reward schematic.
