Evil inquisitor
play-through continued (The inquisitor is a lv 20 female elf mage) ...
Two years have passed and Southern Thedas is somehow still standing. The unbound Avvar God dragon hasn't gone on a rampage and the Orzammar earthquakes didn't destroy Orzammar. Divine Victoria (hardened Leliana) called a Council meeting so the inquisitor travelled to the Winter Palace with her only two companions Cassandra and Varric. I decided to turn the difficulty down from nightmare to casual because I thought I would only have a party of three. The inquisitor thought the meeting would centre around all the questionable decisions she has done in the past so she arrived with the intent to defend her case. Upon arrival, the inquisitor had a chat with Mother Giselle. She told the inquisitor she visited the Emprise Du Lion and the area is recovering. This is news to the inquisitor because she had left the villagers in cages
. Mother Giselle said the inquisitor's friends had arrived. Giselle didn't get the memo that everyone can't stand the inquisitor. The inquisitor asked which 'friends' have arrived and Mother Giselle only gave Varric's name!
The inquisitor had a stroll along the Winter Palace grounds to talk to her companions/advisors. Varric, Cassandra and Cullen are not on friendly terms with the inquisitor as they didn't want to talk (there were no cut scene conversations). The inquisitor found the Orlesian ambassador who was having a chat with a Tevinter ambassador. This Tevinter ambassador was called Dorian and he spoke to the inquisitor as though they are "old friends". The inquisitor didn't get to know Dorian that well because she gave him his marching orders to leave as she didn't want to be affiliated with Tevinter. Dorian joined as a companion anyway
and a consequent war table mission of "Dorian's Request" popped up as well. Josephine may be the only person who isn't on a negative standing with the inquisitor as she offered to take her to a show.
The Council began but it was interrupted by a Qunari presence. The inquisitor didn't mind this intrusion as she'd rather singe enemies with fireballs than listen to politicians. She encountered some elven spirits who weren't in a chatty mood as they attacked on sight. The inquisitor drank from the well and there was no dialogue to avoid the fight
(she would probably have fought them anyway given the option). Her investigation led her to some lyrium mines where she encountered a human. This human was talkative and spilled his guts about what was going on. The inquisitor took on-board the information and then decided literally to spill his guts and kill him as there shouldn't be any loose ends. She used the murder knife to kill the human despite her being a mage and Varric/Dorian disapproved. The Qunari's lyrium mine operation was destroyed.
The inquisitor then had a meeting with her advisors where she had the "we save Ferelden and they're angry, we save Orlais and they're angry..." speech (from the Trespasser trailer) which really suited her personality. The crew came across a dragon and they decided to kill it. This dragon was the first dragon she had killed as it unlocked the dragon codex entry. The inquisitor found out Solas was more than he appeared to be. She didn't appreciate the deceit and said "Solas used me!". Her anger turned to bloodlust and said "I'm killing Solas myself!". Solas was found and revealed he was Fen'Harel. The inquisitor (even though she was Dalish) didn't care at this point and tried to attack Solas. He told her his plan to "save the elven people, even if the world will die". The inquisitor didn't like Solas but she agreed with him on this point as she believes her people should regain their glory. Solas said he must do this alone but before he left he helped stop the anchor. Solas did this despite their animosity and he said he doubts he will get a thank you for helping her. Back at the Council, the inquisitor disbanded the Inquisition because she can't be hassled by the world's problems anymore. She told the Council that the Inquisition's job was to close the Breach and nothing more.
The final scene was that of the inquisitor and her companion/advisors overlooking the landscape. The scene looked a little bare as there were only the three advisors on one side and three companions on the other (Cassandra, Varric and Dorian). The epilogue slides said that Thedas viewed the inquisition as an "unpredictable organisation" so everyone can breathe a sigh of relief now it is disbanded. The epilogue also said Cullen disappeared but was later found on the streets due to his lyrium addiction (I wasn't expecting this outcome).
Cassandra mentioned all the companions in the credits even though some weren't recruited (Varric must have created some additional characters by using his imagination for the companions who weren't there
)
I had fun with the evil playthrough but it is a little sad knowing this is the final entry for the evil inquisitor. The playthrough lasted 37 hours in total as I didn't do many side-quests.
