I just had an interesting experience trying to load Trespasser. I resurrected original!Marcus, who is the closest I have to a fail!quiz, and tried to start the DLC. After clicking the "venture forth" button, the game crashed to desktop (no error) while loading. I put my graphics settings back to what they were before, thinking that might have something to do with it, but nope, CTD several more times. This version of Marcus is level 19.

 

Then, I loaded the last save from do-over!Marcus, who is level 27 after completing JoH, and Trespasser started just fine. 

 

Now I'm wondering: is it crashing in the first instance because I haven't reached level 20 yet? It's only listed as a recommended level, not required, so that seems strange, but I can't think of any other explanation. It's the same character!

 

I guess I need to level up failMarcus to 20 and see if it will load then. This game has the weirdest friggin' glitches!

I get the symbolism of going back to one's roots, but what I'm going for is having the Inquisitor and her core team return to Haven to plan a war against Solas is a disadvantage. Solas knows the Inquisitor regards Haven as a place that's familiar and will always remain in her heart. It would be too easy for he and his agents to find her there and kill her. 

 

That said, if the Inquisitor and her team are going after this guy, they have to remain hidden and their new base of operations is a secret.

 

This could be one of those cases of hiding in plain sight. Now that all the qunari spies and agents of Fen'Harel have - in theory - been purged, it's possible that the gang is simply using Haven for the occasional clandestine meeting away from other people (because at this point, I honestly doubt that many people actually have a reason to go there these days or even want to go there). It probably isn't actually meant to be the official new anti-Solas HQ.

 

At any rate, regardless of whether or not it is/isn't actually Haven (and it could easily be the case that they're just reusing assets as birefringent said), Solas hasn't exactly been intent on actually killing the Inquisitor. I think that even if Solas knew exactly where the Inquisitor was at all times, he would probably prefer to stop him/her without resorting to violence.

I tend to favour the idea that it's just re-used assets, mainly because Haven's Chantry is buried under half a mountain. Not that they couldn't dig it out but that would seem like a waste of effort...

Andraste's Sacrifice, Kitty's Collar, Malika's Guard and Ring of Doubt. There are fixed locations for each of those items. Those are also available to buy in Trespasser.

Not sure which did the trick but one of the moderators on the tech support forum thought it was either one or both of the last two. Apparently other people have had the same issue so hopefully the fix works for them as well.

I read somewhere on the forums that this was an issue.. Where if you tried to go into the DLC from the war table venture forth screen there were problems loading but if you did the whole not now and went from the map screen things loaded okay?

Ah.. good to know.  I think I said amulet but it was the ring of doubt I was referring to.  I have Malika's Guard on Varric and Kitty's Collar on no one.  I don't see an advantage to it.  At least not unless you are going for a very specific build.  I had Andraste's Sacrifice on someone, but I don't remember who I had it on.  Might have been in Trespasser and not the current game with Ameerah.  Old age, yo. 

 

I'm thinking I might table Ameerah since she is almost done with the base game and go back to Rafe's PT since he's kind of an alternate canon for me.  He was last in the Frostbacks with Bull, Dorian and Viv last time I visited him.  I'd need to finish that and then the deep roads for him before doing Trespasser though.

Originally she was going to be dw Tempest, but since I used that for Sacha... I decided to go archer (and later Assassin). Either way, Faye Lavellan, pretty deadly ball of sunshine.

Ah, I see. For some reason, my mind did not process those tattoos as tattoos until you said that. Lol! Was this intentional because the elfquisitor is Dalish and Dalish have face tattoos?

I'll have to try that and see if it works. Though, I've been able to launch it via the war table every other time so who knows?

 

Edit: It worked!  Fail!Marcus is off to get Trespassed.

Not that it will matter in this run since fail!Marcus didn't do Bull's quest. He also didn't do Cole's mission and now no one in the Inquisition has ever heard of Cole. No one has apparently heard of Blackwall either, since I don't even have a codex entry for him, which is weird. He's also a no-show in Trespasser due to skipping Revelations. But, at least Marcus got a spa day  and Divine Cass still loves him.

Note to self (and to others). The Iron Bull becomes extremally reliable with new Horn of Valor upgrade and new Grapping Chain upgrade. Now I'll have hard time trying to not take him with me

I crafted AoE daggers for the first time and it's amazing. I had a hard time getting into the DW rogue combat gameplay with regular daggers but now I love it!
Inquis didn't get much done though, he cleaned up the Templar camp and got a new outfit. My game bugged out when I wanted to fight the Apostates so now I'm eating a sandwich while watching The Office....

My Rift Mage Demetria ran around the Frostback Basin with her boyfriend, Cassandra and Vivienne. So far, they sealed the majority of fade rifts; easily fought the Jaws of Hakkon; took down an ice giant and rescued Stone Bear Hold's bear.

While at the Avvar camp, someone commented, "Why do they dress like that?" I immediately thought of Bull, because he's still wearing the pink/purple Calpernia armour. Adding to that, Vivienne admonished him to stand up straight, he's slouching like a sulking child. I can imagine Vivienne teaching Bull how to catwalk properly like a lady while Demetria stands to the side smirking. Cassandra has her head buried in her hands thinking, 'Maker! When will this ever end?!'

Another funny thing happened. While setting up a tree house camp after killing a Hakkonite mob, there were still fire mines laying around. Demetria's already halfway up the tree when explosions sounded from below. She looks down and sees a few random bog fishers waddling into the mines. Guess there will be a BBQ for the Inquisition camp tonight ;P

Also, is this freakin Florianne?  How did I never notice this before? If it is her, the smell has to be pretty bad.  Feel sorry for the guard down there.  Okay, to be fair, I've only ever killed Florianne one other time on my first play through.  Most of the time I recruit her as an agent.
