Did the siege of Adamant today. This time I decided to exile the wardens from Southern Thedas. Playing as an archer which I never did in the first two games for some reason. Actually pretty fun class.
Harold and company -- Cassandra, Blackwall, and Vivienne -- breezed through the Fallow Mire. I didn't think it was possible, but I just may like the Archer class more than the Knight Enchanter, and I'm not even specialized yet. Can someone confirm whether or not damage bonuses from rings stack... like, Harold is wearing two "Enhanced Long Shot" rings right now, so does that give 60% bonus, or 30% then another 30% of that total, or just 30%?
Whichever way it's done, he kicks ass and is ready for the next challenge, "In Hushed Whispers". Seems kinda odd to be siding with the mages this time, trying to romance Cassandra and all, but what the hell, I chose the templars last time, so gotta try something different.
Rings don't stack. I recommend using a leaping shot ring, though. If you are an Artificer...that almost doesen't have a cooldown and it hurts A LOT, especially if you combine it with the x3 focus ability.
Okay thanks. I haven't specialized yet, still in Haven. Also haven't taken the Leaping Shot ability, been staying with Long Shot and the explosive shot one, and putting the rest into passives and stealth. Hmm, maybe I should respec.
Was sick yesterday, so my Quizzy didn't adventure much...
Today, however, loaded up my save game and brought her out to the Hinterlands...
White, btw, is not her hair color...but that cool looking hat seems to have dyed her hair...
Didn't do too much yesterday. Was ashamed of myself that I crafted a new armor for Dorian and ran out of serious names, so since it wasn't exactly the prettiest color combo and he's rocking the Orlesian Mage Hat, I named it "I Make This Look Good."

I just let the game name the crafted item and go with it.
Today, Harold decided to accept an invitation from Magister Alexius to come to Redcliffe Castle and discuss an alliance. Everyone immediately recognized it as a trap, and tried to talk him out of it. Cullen thought Alexius would kill Harold easily and that the inquisition would lose it's only chance to close the breach. So not only does Cullen not have any faith in Harold the Herald's abilities to survive, but isn't even really concerned about him personally. Respect for Cullen... falling.
Leliana didn't like the idea, but came around when she realized she would get to do sneaky things involving her agents and secret passages into the castle. I was kinda hoping she wouldn't have forgotten that time she helped save the village from the Arl's demon-possessed kid. Respect for Leliana... holding steady.
Josephine was worried that sending an Orlesian Inquisition marching into Redcliffe to assault the castle would start a war with Fereldan. I guess. I mean, it's not like there isn't precedent among these Fereldan nobles. Look what happened during the blight. No wonder Alistair became a drunk. Still, it was a silly argument, in which she showed no confidence in her own diplomatic skills, and little confidence in Harold's abilities to not start a war if he doesn't want to. Respect for Josephine... slipped a few notches.
So, the only one in the entire inquisition who supported Harold's choice to do something about the mages was Cassandra. She totally agreed we had to stop fighting amongst ourselves and not let "our" mages continue to be enslaved by their own stupid choice of allying with a Tevinter magister. Bit of a surprise but, respect for Cassandra...

Then Dorian burst into the room and inserted himself rather neatly into the mission. I have a feeling this fellow enjoys his grand entrances. Okay fine. he could be useful, since we're butting heads with his old boss. Let's see what he's got. Harold decided to invite Iron Bull to accompany Cassandra, Dorian and him on this quest. When he heard we were going up against a Magister, he got this little gleam in his eye. Only thing about that is, Bull don't sneak.
Okay, so inquisition united (sort of) in our choice to go with the mages, companions chosen, and we're on our way... then the game crashed. Exited back to desktop in the blink of an eye like it was never there. The hell? First time that's happened. Rashly, I decided to repair the game through Origin. After verifying the game files, Origin tells me I'm looking at a 3.6 Gb download
... if Cullen is behind this somehow, I'm throwing him off the battlements when we get to Skyhold. IF we get to Skyhold.
Ah, so your game has suddenly taken to crashing out to desktop out of the blue too? I'm glad I'm not alone in this. Previously all it would do is the DroectX CTD in the middle of cut scenes after too many.

Yeah, I was on the loading screen for the quest, after choosing Cassandra and Bull to accompany Dorian and me... and boom. No warning, no pop-ups afterwards, nothing. The game has been very stable for me up until then. I'm a little concerned about this huge download, though. It's like re-installing half the game or something.
Eureka? (For shocking discovery or Revelation, but Eureka is more name-like. I'd tack in some kind of prefix or suffix to make it exotic or name-ish.)
Sullastine and the gang went to the Emerald Graves today, and as suspected, it was full of weird things although the scenery was certainly much nicer than either the Western Approach or the Hissing Wastes. At the end of a long trip adventuring, there was no sand in inconvenient and uncomfortable places. Everyone with a significant other could agree that this was a very nice change of pace, less chafing.
But what the Emerald Graves lacks in environmental woes it more than makes up for in ambient weirdness. There were lots of Red Templar Shadows, and they did a number on the crew. Two groups of Templars and several dirt naps later, and Sullastine finally managed to time the Fade Cloak perfectly. Popped her ethereal self right back into existence perfectly and shanked that crystal handed bastard where it hurt! Talk about a primal scream of triumph ... and then Ursus the Great Cave Bear and the Black Rabbit of Inle invited themselves to the party. No one is quite sure where they stepped out of Thedas and Dragon Age and into a Watership Down/Clan of the Cave Bear crossover game, but in the end, they chalked it up to Emerald Graves elven ghost creepiness and skinned their add-on critters for the hides. Sullastine started looking for the hidden negligee schematic to use her sexy black nugskins with. It's a quest that could take some time, and Dorian and Bull are in full support for their own reasons. Cass just made a disgusted noise, but she was outvoted.
All right, my thesaurus has the following as synonyms of revlelation - disclosure, eye-opener, expose, exposition, news, divulgement, announcement, broadcast, bombshell, bolt from the blue, flash, shock
Now, none of those are very exotic or namey, but you could translate them into other languages and work from there. Or you can look up their synonyms and go with one of those.
On my second playthrough and only now did I pay any attention to this:
Looks like he was totally legless.
(I'll just see myself out...)
The Arbor Wilds was exciting:
Spoiler
Damn, awesome screens.
Damn, awesome screens.
I took like 300 from the Arbor Wilds to the end. There had to be some good ones in there
They are great lol. Do you use Fraps?
