If I were you I'd seriously consider giving it another go. I too gave up on ME1 after a short time, but when I tried again and forced myself to go a little further I really got into it. My advice would be to get through the opening mission on Eden Prime and to the Citadel, where the shooting tones down for a while. See if you still don't think you can play it then. Also maybe try playing as a biotic so you can throw those "mage" powers about a bit...
With great difficulty!
You're supposed to sneak up behind them by walking instead of running, and then run and catch them at the last minute, but it's still really hard to get right. I've found that if there's one by a wall where you can get above them, it can be easier because you can drop onto their heads.
I'd have to buy the game again for the PS3, since I had it for the Xbox and my Xbox stopped reading discs. My Xbox is a jerk. But hey, me rebuying games for alternate systems is what keeps America up and running.
Took Ameerah to the Frostbacks (still haven't won the original game with this PT, I'm just putting it off). Came across this. Seems to be a painful, if not overly cruel way to go.

Rafe finished up the Descent. I gotta say, this .. this makes me mad. I looked all over for that last damn gear. Gears can suck it. Rafe's game is by far the most anally complete of all of my games and the fact that that last gear was not to be found really bothers me. But I've already moved him onto Trespasser so that gear is not meant to be.

Lyrium veins are pretty...

Sad Valta is sad...

(not sure what is going on on her face right there).
I hate when the undead won't die properly.. DIE ALREADY!!!

BONUS SHOT!!! Oh, and then there was this in the Frostbacks. Y'all didn't warn a broad about this (and I didn't come across it with Caitlyn)..

Hooray for level 30 Despair Demons.
