Just got back into playing again, now that I have a job lined up and won't have time.  I decided to replay with a Dalish archer, knowing of the ways of the woods and all.  Naturally, when she got to the dragon and giant fighting on the Storm Coast, she had to get in close to see.

 

That's where the fun starts, since once the giant was dispatched, the dragon spotted her, right after this shot was taken.  The Vinsomer breathed lightning at her, and, yeah, she screamed like a little girl, turned around and ran, hiding behind the tree on the right.  It was hysterical, all 4 party members hiding behind a tree.  Suave.

Trying to make for it by taking on 4 vicious dragonlings didn't cut it.

And she nearly lost it entirely when this guy showed up.

The fight over, I decided to level up Bull.  Whatever happened to the warrior ability Unbowed, I think it was called.  It seems to have been replaced by a heart icon and a different ability.  Does it work in a similar way?

I completed Elise's story and the casualties were Iron Bull and Blackwall out of the companions.

 

she got a little concerned at the arguments developing between Cullen and her relatives but hoped this would all simmer down. Cole became her little spy, taking him along with companions that she felt were keeping things from her.

 

Elise annoyed a few people with her stubborness in clinging to being the Chosen of Andraste but apart from the two mentioned and the great betrayer they all stuck by her.

 

I got very attached to Elise despite her being pro templar which I usually only do to see what the story is like. She was kind and diplomatic. Her main fault being her obsession with Cullen and allowing him far too much say in Inquistion policy.

It is a relief to not have to worry about reading spoilers anymore after at long last finishing all the dlc.

 

And today finally started my canon playthrough after two days of trying to create a dalish mage that I am happy with.

Aravas headed back to Redcliffe to recruit the mages. Yes, it was a trap but, despite them not being "her people," they were more her people than Templars. Plus, they were a lot closer to Haven and she didn't need to suck up to Orlesian nobles just to get on their radar.

My imported world state is Amell Warden who hardened Alistair and set up him up with Anora; she then recruited Loghain into the Wardens and he died killing the archdemon. Alistair ended up hating her but she didn't care since she ran off with Zevran.

Is this an early version of gaatlock barrels? Because these things go up in a boom during the attack. Maybe they're "stones" for the trebuchets????



I really hated this dialogue wheel. Top right choice got me disapproval. Bottom right choice got me great disapproval. The bottom left choice was a lie. And the top left choice was a heart option for my notromancingSolasthistimecharacter.  So, I went with the top left, which got me slight approval. Stupid dialogue wheel.


I love finding the Carver or Bethany bottles if they were a Warden in DA2.  I just wish Varric would say something if he is in the party when you find them.

I finished Knight Enchanter Celeste's main story run this evening. She now gets to celebrate and spend more time with her Commander Cullen wullen. Then it'll be off to the Exalted Council.

Replaying DAI again, after a hiatus of several months, while waiting for a couple of games to begin their final chapter / next expansion. I don't go for mods so everything is 'legit'.   I'm thinking this is probably my last PT so I made recordings. With expanded zones, etc, the inquisitor over leveled for some and in this case, most of the dragon fights are just hard beatings. It always is since all my Inqs are human female 2H warriors.

 

 

I didn't bother to rush about in this PT hence I'm taking it easy on the horse. I took my time to listen and survey the beautiful maps.

Almost ready for IYHSB. Cleared Fallow Mire and most of Storm Coast. Left the spider/rift cave for later since I'll have to come back there anyways. Now Aravas is in the Oasis looking for shards. So far she's opened the first 3 doors in the temple and has collected enough to open one of the 12-shard doors.

 

Having Trial of the Lovers on is gaining me massive disapproval every time I talk with Sera and Vivienne. Sorry, but why can't I tell the latter that just because she "heard" something about the Dalish doesn't make it actually true?  Of course, it's because she is equipped with the big "I win" button for all conversations, which is beyond annoying. I might actually end up with rearranged furniture this time around.  This will probably entice me to get to the ball asap so I can turn the stupid thing off sooner rather than later.

I played Josie's romance with my very first female Inquisitor, Kiera (she was deleted long ago). It wasn't bad. Fluffy, but not bad. I may try again with a male Inquisitor.

 

Blackwall.... Not that interesting, to be honest.

I nominate Dorian.   Second choice would be Solas, but only if you want to have your heart torn out and stomped on. Multiple times. He does look darn good in that elfy armor though.

 

Of course the fact I've done both of them twice has nothing to do with it.

Mainly portal bashing with Ullia Mint Tooth so far. crushed gates in Hissing Wastes and JOH. I pwned one in JOH by being far above it where the fade monsters were having issues reaching me. So far the only hiccup is the one temple where you find Ameridan's last remaining location. I haven't started the mission yet (not that far into JOH) but want to preclear it before I enter. I took two camps there. I also had the "wobbly gate" conversation again but with Cassandra instead of Blackwall:

Lol. I completed some random missions in Hissing Wastes as well. I'm still missing a shard in the wastes. I need to load up my memory bank for the last shard skull. I think I know where it is. I think I got all of Du Lion's shards exposed. I still need to beat the last three dragons too.

I finished Trespasser with my archer and now I'm going to take a little break from Dragon Age because I'm really enjoying Mad Max and then next week is Tales of Zestiria and AC: Syndicate...So many games. I will get back to DA though so I can finish my Solas romance playthrough.

Apparently it wasn't just Sera and Vivienne that Aravas was ticking off left and right. I actually got the drunk Cassandra scene upon reaching Skyhold.

Yeah, they replaced Unbowed with Livid, which is even better, as it gives us both guard and temporarily increases damage.

 

(And I really like both the "wings" and the red lightning that swirls around us, reminds me of the same energy around Reapers in Mass Effect)

Man, I gotta say, my Leah is on the path to punching Solas.  I've personally never gotten to the point of punching Solas in any of my games.  But I'm getting all sorts of interesting conversation options that I've never gotten with him before.  I guess because I'm actually having Leah talk to him rather than just ignoring him.

 

Anyhow..

 

Talked to a salty Orlesian (why does this bro own Haven anyhow, isn't it in Ferelden??)

 

 

Leah went to the Storm Coast and picked up Iron Bull. 

 

 

Poor bastard.  That had to be a painful way to go...

 

 

She managed to get the world's most annoying shard... (and way early in the game to boot)..

 

 

Ran into an old friend in Redcliffe...

 

 

I took more screen shots, but my crappy AT&T internet has been having sporadic issues.  I'm not sure if its my router dying a slow death or if it is something to do with AT&T's archaic infrastructure.   I'll post them when I get back home. 

 

Also,  there was something about Leah's face that was bothering me.  So I redid it about 12 hours into the game.  Changed her brows a bit, darkened her eyeliner..  Made her cheeks fuller.  So all these pics have the updated face.  Incidentally, when I used the mirror of transformation on her. Xenon commented on liking her old nose better. Didn't make any changes to her nose! Can I just say she would look really really cute with hair.  Legit hair, BioWare.  HAIR.

Even though I completed Trespasser with Maggie, I never got better than a 50ish score with the fireworks, so I went back to try for the Chromatic Greatsword everyone is raving about. Got stuck in the low seventies for like forever, stupid multiple shots, but finally got lucky with one of the multiple shots and got like 3 out of 4 of them. Button mashing FTW! Got an 80, good enough! Ran straight for the Golden Nug, because a game crash right then would have made me throw my keyboard through a window. Hope future IQs appreciate all that tedious effort.

I wish the romanced Elven lady Inquisitor had an option to punch and K.O. Solas when he broke up with her.
