Ugh! I haven't tried to make an elf yet, and that's my usualy approach to character creation too. Remove the hair and add last after I like the face.
And yes, those are very good screenies. I wish I could take some, but mine get lost somewhere.

They are great lol. Do you use Fraps?

I convinced my Lavellan mage to romance Cullen instead of Solas (very hard to do - but oh, the Solas heartbreak). Now running around the Exalted Plains with Cole, Solas and Dorian trying to get the stuff I need for rift mage spec. Just a glutton for punishment I guess. I think D*** it, Solas will join D*** it, Anders as my new war cry for very different reasons. Still have to do all the other romances (except maybe Sera's - she comes off as more friend material to me) before I can let Solas break a Lavellan's heart again.
After the way Cullen just behaved when I picked the mages instead of the templars, I think I'll be saving my Cullen romance PT until last, heh.I convinced my Lavellan mage to romance Cullen instead of Solas (very hard to do - but oh, the Solas heartbreak). I finally defeated the Vinsomer dragon for the first time
. It was probably the longest dragon fight so far. I used all my potions in the fight and my health was very low so the party members were dying frequently. In order to revive them I had to stealth away so the party members would revive themselves when I was a certain distance between us and the dragon. I just managed to scrape by I defeat it and I was very lucky to be honest. I also defeated the Hissing Wastes dragon (I still love the music for this dragon fight) and the western approach dragon. This brings my dragon total to 9/10 so I should get the dragon achievement tomorrow. (by defeating the Ravager)
I also unlocked the emerald graves area and I completed the Fairbank mission. In my opinion, the most interesting side quest is the Chateau d'Onterre. The mission has an eerie feel as soon as you enter. The background music was very creepy and then you see the undead roaming the halls. There is also an air of mystery as you find codex entries to help explain the situation. I think this is an example of a perfect side mission in Inquisition because there is mystery with elements of horror.
Finally, I went back to the Western approach to collect some shards and I noticed something which I didn't before. When my inquisitor was falling from a great height, I assumed the health damage was because of the fall (e.g. muscles in the leg, fracture). However as soon as I fell to the bottom, a random arrow comes out of nowhere and hits the inquisitor (including an arrow sfx). There was no archer enemies in sight. I will check if this happens tomorrow. ![]()
I took Dorian to have a family reunion with his father and was promptly shocked. Saw a side of Dorian I never thought about.
Yeah, I was on the loading screen for the quest, after choosing Cassandra and Bull to accompany Dorian and me... and boom. No warning, no pop-ups afterwards, nothing. The game has been very stable for me up until then. I'm a little concerned about this huge download, though. It's like re-installing half the game or something.
Nasty. I hope it resolves things for you at least. ![]()
I've decided for Rift Mage.
Squad will be:
PC - not decided on a name yet. Some exotic name meaning 'discovery' or something.
Blackwall - never used before, and he seems less likely to oppose all the thing Solas and I will do than Cass. Also to take a look a look at the Champion spec, which I'll most likely take on a 5th run
Solas - cause duh
Cole - cause Solas. Will spec for ranged though.
And I'll just exploit Sera for Dragon fights.
Now, I gotta decide on a name. I'm looking for a name that means something like 'shocking discovery'. Some languages have a single word for this.. does English have one?
Ugh. Revelation is the word I was looking for.![]()
Googling for names meaning Revelation is just AWFUL. All kinds of biblical nonsense
Alright, a religious name it'll be: Wahy. The Arab word for a Revelation of God.
Serenditpity - happy accident ![]()
Thanks. Me too! Find out when I get home later.Nasty. I hope it resolves things for you at least.
Completed Josie's quest today. All those war table missions...Still, she is friendzoned so be silent, woman. Didn't kill the dude at the estate, though i waited 10 minutes in case the wardrobe opens. Got nothing. Sweet talks, 'kay bye. Ran around Val Royeaux, bought some decoration, mostly beds...which i will never use xD.
Back in Skyhold Cass was beating Bull with that big-ass wooden stick, always a good sport.
Everyone was like...quizzy in the mid. Omg i am such a Supernatural addict but who isn't. Too lazy to edit the gif, but their faces are priceless.
So. What is Claptrap?
I judged Servis. Due to a corrupted autosave I was able to hang out with him in the crowd *during* the judgement. I told mother Giselle to shove off which prompted Dorian to become my BFF (about time, mister). I met what I believe was either a pod person impostor of Cassandra or maybe a Mirror Universe Cassandra (no goatee though)-- it's the the only explanation I have for her referring to me as "a friend"
. It was a nice gesture, but I'm sure she'll spit in my food tomorrow to compensate for this slip up.

I put Cassandra in my party after neglecting her for a long time and she died on me twice
She died where Dorian(!) survived! Gotta respec her back into s/s asap.
I also went to Hissing Wastes, spent almost half of my resources on the Templar armor schematic, cried a little, and made my beau Blackwall a shiny new Templar armor. Ogled him a bit, as he looked smokin', then went to the Winter Palace and decided to call it quits after the first cutscene. A very productive day indeed.
Emerald Graves, Take II
The crew continued their exploration of the weird elven forest today. Sullastine found a dragon, some kind of Mistral. Bull was all for taking it down right there, but she pointed out that they weren't loaded out with the proper potions for dragon hunting. He, at least, needed about 15 dozen more regenerations potions and Dorian needed some healing mist grenades to cover Bull's squishy butt some more. At least he was good natured about conceding that point even though he covered it by pointing out how he's the only one who really gets right in there and tried to dig out those dragon teeth while it's still breathing fire.
Sullastine made it up to him by suggesting that they thin out the rampant giant population in the high plateaus. Bull seemed to think this was a grand idea, and since Cass only made a half-hearted disgusted noise, she was either kind of into the idea too or giving up on steering the party to the real business of the Inquisition. At any rate, the first three giants went down without much trouble, and then, the shenanigans set in. Maybe it was overconfidence or maybe it was Sullastine's curiosity about what would happen if you lobbed a random fireball at a mating pair of brontos, but at any rate, one giant plus two angry brontos equals a whole lot of mayhem ... and a couple of dirt naps.
After the smelling salts, Sullastine was heard to ask what the number of that bus was. Upon hearing this, everyone looked pretty confused since no one knows what a "bus" is, and Cass started waving her shiny new beetle shield in Sullastine's face asking how many she could see. Sullastine asked Cass when she ticked off Solas and got turned into a cockroach. This prompted an emergency trip back to Skyhold for a thorough examination to make sure that nothing got too rattled. It was probably for the best though because they had some lyrium smuggling letters that needed to be delivered.
Upon returning to the Emerald Graves for yet another assault on the place, Sullastine decided on a new strategy. She left Dorian behind and took Solas with the group. Grumpy elf might have some insight into the creepy elven forest that the rest of them lack. Everyone seems to be pretty sullen about it though. Solas misses his Michaelangelo work at Skyhold, and Bull and Dorian were loathe to part from one another. However, on the up side, the immediate area around the group no longer reeks of Dorian's Axe cologne. Maybe now the forest can be persuaded to yield its secrets!
Brought Celene and Briala together and saved Orlais from the nefarious plans of Corypheus! Still need to go assault Adamant, will get that done shortly.
Killed the Greater Mystral and helped saved the Emerald Graves from the Freemen!
Allowed Bull's men to die holding the hill. Hard decision, but as The Iron Bull himself said earlier, "a leader must be the one to make hard choices". Or something like that. It's incredibly sad but hey, there -were- people on the dreadnought, too.
I'm almost level 20, meaning I'm going to seriously out level Corypheus when I get to him.
Hung out with Cole in Val Royeaux earlier - I'm so proud of him for being a real boy now. *wipes a tear away*
P.S. Suck it, Solas, I totally made the right call with Cole!
P.P.S. I still
Solas as a bro, but he just has to let this Cole thing go!

So he probably wouldn't get you your man-slippers, but he would possibly not tell you where they were? ![]()
Tried to recreate my noble warrior dude as a mage for a new play through but something always seems off on the new one. Heres hoping for an added ingame da2 mirror type patch that gives us face codes to copy and paste.
So he probably wouldn't get you your man-slippers, but he would possibly not tell you where they were?
He would take immense pleasure in not telling you where they were, but more likely he would command you to get his man-slippers, even though he doesn't have feet, and he wouldn't shut up until you did. He's kind of annoying that way. And yet, he's funny, so he's tolerable... for awhile. I mean, it's not as though the game will let you shoot him. ![]()

I wholeheartedly support the idea of a DA2-type mirror, perhaps even the return of the entire Black Emporium somehow.
Got the Hinterlands in much better shape, though there are still a few rifts to close. Slogged through the marshes in Fallow Mire to rescue some Inquisition soldiers and killed a bunch of undead along the way. I really tried to stay out of the water this time. Finished everything doable in Storm Coast (took a lot less time since I didn't waste 50 hours trying to get to those darn lyrium deposits that you can't get to until later
). With all that done, it was finally time to decide who to recruit. I went with the mages on my first playthrough so this time it was the templars' turn. All went well until after I killed the envy demon and when the cut scene back at Haven started, I had no sound. So, I exited the game, then tried to restart it but it got hung up so I rebooted my system. Finally got the game open, only to discover my last save was from before the demon fight, so I had to do it again. But, when it started, my character and everyone but Cassandra, were stiff-as-a-board cutouts that moved around the area without actually moving.
I felt like I was in a Mario game or something. After exiting and reloading two more times, the game finally decided to behave itself and I got both normal movement for the fight and sound once the cut scene started. Whew! Recruited the Templars as allies. Now I think we're ready to attempt sealing the breach.
My game works again. Yay. So Harold, Cassandra, Bull and Dorian proceeded to Redcliffe to meet with Alexius and all hell broke loose -- almost literally. Alexius did some magic and
Uh, anyway, back to finding Alexius and making him pay... or something. Dunno yet how we're gonna do that, or what will happen when we try, but try we must. Also gotta add that Dorian has already become a much more interesting character than in my first game, where I picked the templars.
