Crafted the most Bad Ass looking gear that perfectly matched my Dalish Archer Inquisitor's heritage while sporting my Inquisition heraldry. Then contemplated creating a Dwarf Inquisitor and just couldn't bring myself to do it.
What Did You Do Today (in the DA 'verse) ? .... oops ;)

Haven't done anything DA related in the last day or so (busy with Rise of the Tomb Raider and Xenoblade Chronicles X which both were received during Christmas) but I did finally create a Steam account yesterday and today I'm going to buy KOTOR 1 and 2, Skyrim Legendary Edition, and Dragon Age: Origins Ultimate Edition. ![]()
I will play more DA though today. I'll start Here Lies the Abyss and try to get it done with my Rift Mage Lavellan.

That's odd, if you don't have the key, you can't enter so how does going right up against the entrance break the quest? ![]()
Another oddity for me in this PT; I've never sent the Chargers off to investigate Therinfall Redoubt because somehow or other I completely missed that line about sending them when talking to Krem in other PTs. I put it down to failure to go through every dialogue line or not having talk to Krem enough.
I find it kind of funny that the report would say they nailed the demon. As if it's that easy to kill it but they wouldn't write down a lengthy blow by blow account of how it went in the official report. The result is all that matters. I don't suppose Krem would actually narrate what happened.
Hope everyone had a great holiday. ![]()

The powerful feels when playing as Anders. Indeed!
Then he was mostly a heal-y mage in DA2. But what bite he lacked in magical abilities, he made up for in the bite of his personality

Anybody remember meeting Anders the first time in Awakening? He was the first mage in the DLC with all the new powers so he made an impression. I was like "whoaaa this Anders dude is a mighty powerful mage."

I remember! He said, "Uh, I didn't do it" and I immediately thought of Bart Simpson. X)

I went to the Hissing Wastes and met two Venatori mages who had mastered the art of Barriers. Once at full strength they took forever to whittle down, and if you fell prey to one of their many, many elemental glyphs that Barrier shoot right back up to full strength.
Iron Bull, Varric and Cole were not particularly helpful during these fights, one could say they were in fact bloody useless and spent most of their time playing dead.

Three rogues and no one having Bee Grenades is a bad idea. With Bee Grenades, you only need 1 rogue to complete the mission.*disgusted noise after the 10+ time dying while trying to aim the trebuchet*

I think if you just click on the locked door the quest will start that way as well. You still need to get the key from the fortress though.

Oh I don't mean the Valammar quest, I mean I broke the "The Mercenary Fortress" quest by getting too close to the entrance of Valammar.

Hmm...I don't know why that would be the case. Don't you just have to keep killing bandits until the letter drops? Maybe you haven't killed enough of them?

Julian is ready to confront the qunari. I was going to do that tonight but figured just about the time I got to the dual it would be bed time, and I really don't need that kind of adrenaline rush right before bed.
So, I'm saving the mayhem for tomorrow.
I've really had a good time in Act 2....lots of emotional stuff this time for some reason. I remembered to bring Anders with me to Bartrand's house and after he wiggled his fingers to bring Bartrand back to his senses, I just felt so bad for the little turd. He sounded so helpless and pathetic. Poor Varric had him carted off to an institute. I wonder if he gets better once Meredith is killed/turned to stone? Eh, maybe not if he's some form of lyrium-addled. That doesn't just go away, unfortunately. I think Bianca mentions trying to help him in DAI if he's still alive.
Then there's my Fen-mance and all that entails in Act 2.
I ended up putting the romance scene off for longer than I intended, but I just headcanon they spent a lot of time together before that with Hawke teaching Fenris how to read.
Must remember to do Legacy before they reconcile in Act 3; otherwise the banter dialogues make no sense.
And, of course, "All That Remains." I have a love/hate relationship with this quest and I tend to put if off for as long as possible. I just rage at the incompetence of both the Guard and the Templars in this case. The remains weren't identifiable? What about the ring ID'd by Ghislain as belonging to Ninette? Ugh. So much stupid to make this quest workable is just annoying. And yet, when Hawke is kneeling by his dead mum with his closest friends standing vigil....oh, I just want to hug him. ![]()
Anyway, a few pics from Act 2 (including one classic Hawke face
)

Kiri was quite busy yesterday even tho she mostly just run around on Skyhold.
She had to make some harsh decisions with her first two Judgements, sending Movran to Abernache and executing Captain Denam for what he did in Therinfal.
Then she talked to Varric's friend on the battlements about the disappearing of the Wardens.
And I don't know how I did it, but everyone loves Kiri so much I got most, if not all of their +35 Approval scenes. Even Vivienne loves her.

Oh I don't mean the Valammar quest, I mean I broke the "The Mercenary Fortress" quest by getting too close to the entrance of Valammar.
I've found the letter in two places: during The East Road Bandits by the Dusklight Camp, and by that big cluster of bandits south of that open air pavillion where Cassandra's rogue templar is in Hafter's Woods. Whenever I've missed the letter in one of those places, it has been there at the other one. I've even cleared out the Mercenary Fortress entirely (without ever having gotten the quest for it), then gone and picked up the letter later and had the quest assigned and completed immediately.
My point is that I don't think you did break the Mercenary Fortress quest entirely. Or at least I hope not.

I was thinking about my completed Hinterland quests and I think I got both letters, or at least I got the letter you can find, when you do the East Road Bandits quest. But the Mercenary Fortress quest didn't activate. ![]()
Oh, well, I killed the Mercenary Leader, if I ever get the quest it should complete itself now. ![]()
I just did Dorian's Last Resort Of Good Men quest and immediately after that got his friendship scene.

Julian kicked serious Arishok butt. I goofed first time and ended up skewered. Second round: 1 decoy + 1 mark of death + 1 upgraded assassinate = dead Arishok.
It was almost too easy, but it's payback for all the times I had to kite for 10 minutes (or more). I pretty much level up my characters in preparation for that fight. So far, rogue assassin is by far the fastest at taking him down.
Ran around at the beginning of Act 3 talking to everyone (except Fenris 'cause saving best for last). Then, before shutting down, I scrolled through the achievements only to find the one for "killing" Corypheus in Legacy is called "Conductor."

For this PT, the warden is a guy whose LI is Leliana and he did the DR. I had a similar tapestry in one of the oldest PT with some differences; the warden did not do the DR for one. The exception this time is that Alistair is a warden and the DR was done with the warden. To my surprise, I found Alistair talking to Morrigan in the garden and the conversation was of course, on the warden; did he know? did he see his son? etc.
I had a PT where Alistair did the DR with Morrigan but I never did catch him talking to her.
Also noticing some weird voices from mobs. As they die or after they died, they uttered a aaarghhh!! in a man's voice, then said "What the?!" in a woman's voice. It's a weird weird world when NPCs can't decide their own gender.
I'm also getting some lines from the party I may have missed or cut off when mobs attacked suddenly or whatever. Varric would suddenly say out of the blue; how much would you bet that Ruffles would have a new fashion by next fall?
uh...where did that one come from?
Or Solas would mutter that the elves' history are in bits and pieces but they're mostly right. uuuh..ok. At least you're not muttering about how thin the veil is...
I've definitely decided I can do without Viviene, it's so peaceful and I don't have trouble figuring out who'll be the Devine. There's one more tapestry I would try and that'll be the last PT.

My Gemma Cadash.. Well, she is on hiatus for Evie Frye and the Jack the Ripper DLC for Assassin's Creed Syndicate. Victorian Era England will win my heart every time - plus murders! But I won't abandon her. We're just on a break. Gemma's a little bummed that no one loves her. Did WEWH and at the end only Josie came out to console her. I made her dance with Josie, but I'm going to have meta-meta game to romance her because I have no interest in her. While nice, she isn't compelling.
Also, can we talk about the fem Cadash's boobs? They look.. weird. Like they tried to shrink and widen the human body form and they just got placed oddly low on her chest. Like the poor girl is wearing an ill-sized bra and has no support. DWARVES DESERVE MORE, BIOWARE... Maybe it's just that stupid formal uniform?

Also did Josie's personal quest. Here is a nice shot of how cute my quizzy is.

Also. WTF happened here?
