Yesterday Kiri went to the Western Approach to meet up with Hawke and Loghain.

That done Kiri did some side quests in the Approach, mainly the quests for Frederic of Serault, until she hit Lvl 16 and was able to buy some Tier 3 mats in the BE. Now she has a pretty new armor.

That done, Kiri took Sera, Solas and Bull to fight the Abyssal High Dragon.

Bull died three times and then I quit rezzing him.  No more Dragon fights for you Bull.

It's everyone's favorite rebel mage on the Storm Coast!
 

So that's what he looks like! By the time I've gotten that close, he's face down. Every time we've battled, he's been at the bottom of the hill and I'm at the top, or he's at the top and I'm at the bottom. As a ranged fighter. And it's usually someone else, like a Mabari or darkspawn, that starts the fight. That's the only way I ever find him, because I hear the fighting. I guess I could have switched to the warrior that was piling on, but it never occurred to me to do that. I just wanted him dead ASAP!
 

Also, I was traveling around with Bull and Dorian a  lot to see if I could get them to hook up.  Guess that backfired.  ;-)

Don't you have to romance IB and them dump him for the Bull/Dorian romance to happen? Or is that just an option?

Also, on Cassandra's book quest, In all of my PTs, Dorian has always walked past and said how terrible the book is.  In this game, Cole walked past and said he read it to her.  I've played this game an embarrassing amount of times and this is the first time I've had a different companion walk past there.  What gives??

I think it depends on whether you recruit mages or Templars. That's the way it's always worked for me anyway. If I go mages, I get Dorian; if I get Templars, then it's Cole.

Yet another beautiful Gilli action shot. I always thought the Red Hart was one of the prettiest mounts.

I put Bloodstone on anyone who wears metal armor. It looks good on Blackwall and IB also.

I've never had an IQ dump anyone. All Gemma wants is love, damnit.  LOL!    I've had Dorian and IB hook up twice.  But those PTs were human females who romanced Cullen.  Maybe I never got any of their banter because my in this PT she was sending out love vibes to Bull?  I think in terms of flirting I had her flirt with Sera and Josie more, but non-committally with them too.  This is by far the longest I've had a quizzy go without hooking up with someone.  Go figure.

Why thank you.   Yes, it really is a beautiful mount, first I thought about giving her the Royal Sixteen, but it didn't suit Kiri.

 

Oh yes, I agree, I love Bloodstone on IB, tho I prefer Silverite on Blackwall. In my first PT I once gave him a purple tint (can't remember if it was Nevarrite or something else) never again. I kept mistaking him for a Red Templar and tried to attack him.

Maybe it is some combo of both?  But my friendship approval with Dorian is pretty darn high.  I've done all his war table missions and his personal mission.  It's not as high with Cole. At least not that I'm aware of.  I haven't done his personal mission yet or the war table mission to find Rhys and Evangeline. 

 

Also I almost always tint my armor with Nevarrite or Lazurite.  Mage robes in the ring velvet.  I like doing Cassandra in a purple teal combo!

I don't think it has anything to do with friendship approval; the standing with both is always good for me. I've done both choices a few times and I always get Dorian for mages, Cole for templars.

Regarding the Bull/Dorian thing, it's my understanding that they only get together if the Inquisitor is officially 'locked in' to a relationship outside of those two. Until then the game keeps Bull and Dorian as an option for the Inquisitor, so they won't happen. I haven't managed it myself as my male Inquisitors have all romanced Dorian and my female Inq romanced Solas, which locks in very late in the game.

I might be wrong but it makes sense, although it does seem a little cold.

Started Hissing Wastes with Lavallan and I'll get it done later tonight. Hoping to start What Pride Had Wrought too. I just realized how useful Charging Bull is to get around the area faster. I've been switching to Blackwall and using it, makes getting around a little faster and easier.

It seems like to get really neat dialog out of Dorian and Iron Bull you have to throw in Cassandra too. Like for instance I was in the Hinderlands and Iron Bull was asking her if she knew what a certain nickname was. Dorian interupts by bringup up how derogitory the term is. Iron Bull was a bit offended by Dorian interupting. Cassandra does give her input though and says no and why. Iron Bull give her his thoughts while Dorian interupts again and suggests how what Iron Bull says is a bad thing. Iron Bull gets mad and ends the conversation.

Finished my DA2 game today. Julian is now a hero to the mages since he, of course, opted to defend them from being killed for Anders' actions. Killed off Merrill's clan for maybe the second time ever. They just got on my nerves this time around. The keeper was stupid and she was possessed, so they had to kill her. As Cass would say: Deal. With. It. Anders didn't get the murder knife and Sebby finally grew a backbone as a result. Not to worry though....whenever I get around to importing this world state and playing it in DAI, Aveline will get all the help she needs to kick his sorry arse back to Starkhaven.
 
I forgot to do a few things along the way. Missed Aveline's armor upgrade in Act 1 and missed the heroism (ie gain a level) potion recipe in Act 2 (still finished at lvl 27). Finally managed to properly poison Leopold in MotA. I didn't realize you had to actually add the mixture to the food since I'd never seen it (the food) there before. I don't think it helped any, even if he did glow green for a bit.
 
Not sure what I will do next. I might get back to my qunari who is trying to get to Skyhold before reaching level 6. So far, all he's done is stabilize the breach and wake up in Haven with a big headache.

I actually wanted Kiri to be done with Here Lies the Abyss by now, but some side quests demanded her time first (and I want her to have Thousand Cuts first)

Still being in Val Royeaux Kiri went to Vicinius home, only to find him murdered. Back in Skyhold she talked to Leliana, who sent one of her agents on a mission. Not wanting to sit around until the agent came back, Kiri went to the Western Approach and claimed Griffon Wing Keep.

Just as that was done, the agent came back and Kiri learned about the Shrine of Dumat. Taking Sera, Dorian and Cole with her, she went to investigate and found Magister Erasthenes. Calpernia's old master. He told them about Corypheus plans and then asked Kiri to release him, which she did, freeing him from his prison.

Deleted a bunch of my extraneous saves from DAO/A and DLCs. Didn't realize it would take so darn long so rather than do the same with my DA2 saves, I think I'm just gonna go play something.

Finished What Pride Had Wrought and had Lavellan drink from the Well. I figured it makes sense because she is an elf and as she even tells Morrigan it's her heritage. I brought Sera, Solas, and Cassandra and all of them had some interesting things to say during the mission. The mission is even better if the Inquisitor is a Lavellan because of the unique dialogue options you have. Now I will do the DLC's before the final fight so I can do them with a certain character.   Once that is done I'll fight Corypheus and do Trespasser.

Inquisitor has hit 20 and I think it's time she does Adamant. Putting it off though. I ended up listening to all three ME soundtracks while considering sequence for the next MEfanfic chapter. Nostalgia. The first ME main theme always hit the mark for me. That and Vigil, that air of adventure, mystery, questions and beyond these two pieces evoked.

I like all three. Each ME game had very different soundtracks but each one of them were good.

See my human women always romance Cullen and that locks in quickly.  And same with my males and Dorian.  Locks in nice and quick!  Usually Bull locks in quicker too.  But I wasn't trying to have my Cadash romance him.  I mean she really didn't flirt with him at all until after the Chargers.  Didn't even think to ask him to dance with her during WEWH.  But now he's locked in.  Go figure.

 

Anyhow.. went to the fade!

Back in Skyhold talked Kiri with everyone and got Varric's Well, Sh!t quest. She was still in Stealth when they reached the door in Valammar and got out of it when the cutscene started. Got lucky and got a pic of it.

Ironically I hopped over to SKYRIM here and there myself. I did give Ullia a quick touch as i said before and had her crush a bit of JOH though (90% of the west side of the map is cleared). I may get back into DAI eventually just to finish Ullia then hop over to my other characters.

 

I like all three. Each ME game had very different soundtracks but each one of them were good.

 

I did like the ME games music but i hated how 80% of the tracks on ME 3 for the story mode were recycled tracks from ME 2. One of the reasons why is the artist pulled out after ME 2 was done so they got someone else to do 3.

True about the PC and console. Since I have been playing DA games on my XBOX 360 I have been either doing it via my hard drive directly (DAO/DAA) or just clicking X to delete a guy or two. Unfortunatly I am quite limited to how many characters I can save per game so I have to delete older people here and there. Amolla Vollsa never got to try JOH at all because I deleted her before the 360 version of the DLC was availible.

I play Skyrim when I'm bored of Inquisiton. I play KOTOR when i'm bored with Skryim. And then I play Revan once I'm in the mood to feel confused out of my mind.

Yeah, I went the "pick and choose" route so it took me a few hours since I had quite a few saves built up. I tried to keep the first one from each new area, as well as ones at key points, like heading to the Landsmeet and going up to the roof to fight Archie. I don't know how large the save files are, but I figure I should have freed up at least a couple of GBs of space. Maybe I'll tackle DA2 next weekend.
