I think this might be the first time I see Solas so amused.

What's even more amusing and ridiculous is that once you made a decision regards the guardsman in the queen's bed, the court disapproves. As if they were right there to see what's going on. ![]()

Are you sure that the court disapproval actually registers? Because I've been shocked to see something ridiculous like -27 Court Approval or something flash up on screen only to have the Court Approval totally not change at all after the cutscene ends. Usually, this happens when I'm already maxed out (which I usually am at this point), so I figure that it was meant to be an approval gain but since I'm already at 100, it's showing how much I'm losing to keep it at 100.

No it doesn't register. The bean counter is already maxed. What I mean is why the msg should even appear at all at that point. It would have been more appropriate during the official address by the Queen; I felt there should have been more reactions shown, I doubt everyone really supported the radical notion of an elven noble in court.

I finally bought Tresspasser ♥
Now I have to create.. and create... and create characters, I will stop when I find one I love ♥.

Sadly in other scenes she looks like she vomited herself and her nose is too big, I am going to recreate her but with blue eyes and blue paint.

I fall in love with the character of Ascendia, is the sorcreress I always wanted, I just wish I could play her as a human but the elfs are not so bad.

Ha excellent! This playthrough I'm naming my crafted stuff after Westerns. I just made some Dragon Hunter armor for Thomas called The Quick and the Dead, Dorian is wearing Blazing Saddles and wielding Unforgiven. I'm saving Red Dead Redemption for serious endgame shenanigans :-)
In Thedas today and on the lookout for Sutherland at the Storm Coast. Thomas needs a foot rub.

I haven't posted in this thread for awhile and I was in the middle of a dwarven playthrough. However, I decided to delete this character in order to start afresh (wasn't too far in the story anyway). I've started a new playthrough to experience all the things that I haven't experienced so far and to get all the trial achievements. The last few days, I did a speedy run to get the achievement where you have to get to Skyhold with a low level character. Didn't particularly like doing this speed run because I couldn't collect any codex entries or quests and focused mainly on requisitions to get the power.
So I started a new game today with the nightmare difficulty and all the trials turned on (apart from the 1/2 experience trial). I don't have friendly fire on though because I'm not a glutton for punishment
. Some of the decisions I plan to do include: ally with the wardens, Morrigan drinks from the well, romancing Cassandra, human Cole, sacrificing the chargers.
Created a dwarven inquisitor warrior who specialises with a sword and shield (not keen on this fighting style at the moment because I usually play a dual wielding rogue). I decided to keep his default name because I wasn't feeling creative today. Edric's personality will be diplomatic/helpful because he is seeking redemption from his criminal carta background. Imported a world state where the dark ritual was performed and Loghain is a warden.
Started going towards the Temple Of The Sacred Ashes and encountered the first wraith. The trial decided to make this wraith an 'improved' version and lowered both Cassandra's and Edric's health to less than half. Cassandra decided to guzzle all the potions at once because one of the trials made healing potions ineffective. Edric died against the next couple of wraiths
. I got the "your journey ends" screen which says the breach's growth goes unchecked and demons destroy the world. Edric decided to flee tactically evade these enemies and head straight to Solas and Varric's position. Edric died again
in this fight as well. Died a third time but I'm stubborn and refuse to lower the difficulty
. The fourth attempt, Edric just ran around like a headless chicken until Varric and Solas finished them off (It worked!).
Edric found a mace and went clubbing
. Solas's barrier magic is a real life saver as the next few enemies were dispatched with ease. Varric had a conversation about Edric being a shifty smuggler type. I'm probably going to keep Varric in the party for most of this playthrough because shifty smuggler types should stick together! Edric levelled up and his health restored to the max. The pride demon fight mainly consisted of me running round the tower and disrupting the rift whenever possible. Died two times in this fight so it was third time lucky.
Edric stopped the breach expanding, awoke in Haven and the Inquisition was formed.

*is greatly burnt out on DA, is in Tamriel currently. Is tempted to talk about it. To rage over locks and how her Male Dark elf who is a level 19 sneaky Archer rogue couldn't get past Master Locks in a dungeon when he's good at lock picking stuff. Wants to throw something at the Besthuda for making it hard to get past doors in Skryim*
Sorry; I'm having a rage on locks in Skryim which I think is something I think many people rage about, lol.

Nope, no more elves, returning to my first character I make, if this program says she is stunning, she is.
I only play stunning and human characters, I am so superficial and racist ♥
(She is 27!!
)
(But.. He is 29 at the end of Da2)
(He is just 22!!!... at least is Stunning)
Looks like only Solas and Flemeth can be Godlike.

Took a brief break from DAI and went into Spec Ops On The Line which I've never played. It's been a long time since I dropped into a FPS SP so my targeting was off. Took about a few hours to get used to the weapons. While the gameplay is nice though some situations is right down impossible (Really?!! You don't suffer broken bones / wrenched spine from falling from a height, several floors, by a rope attached to body?!!! And to top if off, having to drop the last few meters onto really hard stuff...wow, superman), The chars, especially the one shooting off his mouth (there's always one), talk so much and so loudly in enemy territory. What's worst, the loudmouth just has to pick a fight as the story progressed. There's a time and place to kick sh** and he's picking all the wrong ones. He has no leg to stand on to complain / gripe / argue but he's doing it all the same.
I labeled him Farthorn and wished he would just shut up and focus on the mission.

The Darkbrother hood decided to make my guy (who's an nightingale; he should know better then just going around killing innocent people; then again he does need money...) go kill innocent people for gold and an nice horse. He's decided he wants to be guild leader of the Brotherhood... Although it requires going against his own self concious.
Yeahhhhh, I'm pretty done with the DA series I fear; I've finished DAO five times (burnt out) and DA2 three times (no I don't want to play DA2 anymore), and DAI (only twice. I'm happy with that to be honest).

Edric, the dwarven warrior (on nightmare)...
Started chatting to everyone at Haven by investigating all the conversation options. Solas's conversation was the most random though because he approves of Edric's inquisitive nature but he disapproves of Edric's actual opinions about the subject. So it appears that they are going to have a yoyo relationship (but I think the disapproval is winning at the moment because of one of the trials). Edric returned to the war-room to let everyone know that he isn't too keen on the idea of being called the Herald of Andraste.
Next up was to meet with Mother Giselle in the Hinterlands and this turned out more difficult than I imagined. First, Edric met a charming scout named Harding and then made his way to the Giselle's location. Managed to kill the first group of Templars okay but the next group of mages were tough. The trial 'upgraded' two of the mages with barriers and frozen immunity (I thing one of these mages had HP of around 4500 and then add another 4500 for their barrier as well). Edric died on this encounter
. Scout Harding should've provided covering fire from the cliff above
. It took me around 10 minutes to kill one mage grunt. At this rate, this playthrough will take me a looooong time...
Edric eventually found Giselle and he needed to build some power to get to Orlais. So the plan was to collect power without fighting more enemies. Edric built two base camps on his way to Dennet and avoided fade rifts, Templars and wolves. Had a chat with Dennet and made a passing comment about being a "mule rider" and Edric didn't appreciate this so he called him out on it. One easy power point was just for mounting your horse.
Returned to Haven once more to have another chat with everyone. Cassandra asked Edric if he believed in the Maker and he avoided her question by saying he was a dwarf. He wanted to get to know her little better because they will be travelling the road together and he attempted a bit of harmless flirting. This bit of flirting wasn't appreciated though as she gave disapproval (not the best start to their relationship
). He had a chat with Leliana as well and chose not to intervene in the traitor conversation because it wasn't his business. Edric made the later conversation awkward by asking if Leliana was "more than friends" with Justinia
(this is probably one of the most cringe worthy lines IMO) Completed the inquisition weapons requisition to get the fourth power needed to go to Orlais.
Edric travelled to Orlais and told the Chantry that he doesn't proclaim to be a herald and he is "just a dwarf at the wrong place at the wrong time". Followed a red trail and met a deluded Orlesian (I like this whole scene because Orlesians are so eccentric and the way he delivers his line of: "I'm too important for this to be an accident!"
). Sera was recruited and the next stop was Vivienne's salon. Edric encountered another obnoxious Orlesian but left his fate to Vivienne. She spared him his life but not his embarrassment. Edric attempted to flirt with Vivienne
but she charmingly declined.
Returned to Haven to chat some more. Specifically Josephine, as she had a question about Edric's beliefs and his background. She asked if he believed in the Stone and he said he didn't. She also wanted more information about his criminal carta background. Edric admitted that his time with the carta had been a violent time and took him all over the place including Orzammar. He said he was with the carta until the Conclave events but he sees the Inquisition as a chance to change his future.
Returned to the Hinterlands.

For my last DAI run, I'm playing a sword/shield champion, Elissa Trevelyan. She idolizes the Hero of Ferelden. I let her stay single, because I didn't want to romance anyone, however.... I've noticed in my last two play throughs, Cassandra thinks my Inquisitors are flirting with her, but they're not. The same thing happened again here, and Elissa's like, "What are you talking about?"
After that awkward moment, the Iron Bull also thinks my lady Inquisitor is flirting with him ![]()
Anyway, I also got into playing DA Origins at my relatives' place during the Christmas holidays. I played as my cousin's Warden Cousland, who romanced Alistair, and they were made king and queen. Yup, the fairytale ending. That got me into reading a lot of Alistair/Cousland fanfiction and writing stories as well

Edric the dwarven warrior (on nightmare)...
Recruited Blackwall and Iron Bull. Followed up the bandit rumours on the Storm Coast leading to the Blades. Edric challenged the leader to mortal combat. The leader had support from his canine allies. The leader and his dogs had ability upgrades from the trial and I was expecting the worst. The dogs had around 6500 HP each and the leader had 6500 and an extra generated guard of 6500. It wasn't as bad as I thought though because the fight passed quickly and there were no deaths
. The redemption theme in this playthrough continued as Edric recruited the Blades to benefit the Inquisition, thereby absolving their past activities. Edric's team came across the giant/dragon fight and the dragon flew away, leaving an angry giant in our way. The giant killed everyone on the first attempt
but was slain on the second try.
Returned to Haven to talk to the new companions.
Went to the Hinterlands with Varric, Vivienne and Blackwall. I am not going to complete all the Hinterland quests at once (like I normally do) and space them out to getter better pacing throughout the game. Edric is currently level 6 and he is surviving more enemy encounters because I am developing his vanguard abilities. I'm also getting used to playing with the sword/shield style. Vivienne and Blackwall are verbally tearing each other apart while the two dwarves remained focused on the task on getting to Redcliffe. This wasn't a simple task though because the team couldn't get past the rift blocking the Redcliffe entrance. They didn't die, they just fled to live another day
. I'll probably return when Vivienne learns the dispel ability.
(I got the achievement where you need to kill 20 promoted enemies. However, I am keeping this trial switched on because I like the challenging enemies)

I'm taking a DA break to play Jade Empire (loving it so far, even with dated graphics and weird combat I haven't quite figured out yet) but when I get back to DAI, I'm going to replay Marcus to get the "Skyhold by lvl 5" achievement, then do a real PT with my qunari guy. I just don't want to play a new character and miss out on stuff, especially on NM. Besides, I want to redo my Marcus/Dorian PT anyway, and starting out that relationship by never meeting Dorian in Redcliffe should give it a new flavor. ![]()

Just a quick update as I tried the Redcliffe rift (after I had a few hours break) without the dispel ability and managed just to scrape by on the first attempt
.
Edric got to Redcliffe and then I just realised that the Hero Of Ferelden was a casteless dwarf! So it appears that the Thedas trend is to rely on dwarven criminals as their saviours
. Edric had a chat with Connor and told him the events at Redcliffe wasn't his fault. Vivienne greatly disapproved of this assessment though (this is probably my first ever Vivienne 'greatly disapproves'). Edric will end up hating her but she still is one of my favourite characters. Still like her snarky attitude towards Fiona.
Later, Varric's silver tongue managed to persuade Tanner to join the Inquisition and Edric's team made their way to the Chantry. Died 3 times in the Chantry rift fight
. So Edric decided to try another way by hiding behind one of the stone pillars while Dorian attacked the wraiths (the other party members were unconscious
). This unorthodox method worked.

Even though I knew what to expect it was still really tough seeing that final scene between her and Solas. I loved playing the DLC though with her and honestly I would put her in my top 3 playthroughs of mine for Inquisition. The Solas romance was great, even though it wasn't the happiest romance. I'm going to be taking a break from Inquisition to focus on some other games, especially since I'll have my new computer by next week and will be spending a good amount of time playing games on that. (KOTOR, TOR, Origins, and I got Fallout: New Vegas
) I still have my Male Trevelyan on the Xbox One that I'll continue eventually and I wouldn't mind playing Inquisition on PC in the future as well.
