Decided to use spoiler tags because I've just realised some people may want to experience playing in similar way rather than be spoiled through my over-descriptive ways

Edric the dwarven warrior (on nightmare)...
So the next step is to earn 15 power to get an audience with Alexius. Edric helped the refugees with some food and found them a local herbalist in Redcliffe. This was all what needed to be done because I already had 13 power stored. Started the "In Hushed Whispers" quest and Edric is level 6. Edric decided to talk with the mages rather than the Templars because he reckons the mages would have a better understanding about magical holes in the sky (plus I want to recruit the mages as free allies because I have done this yet).
Went to Redcliffe Castle with Varric and Solas. Edric tried being diplomatic with the Tevinter magister (which gave a couple of Solas 'slightly approves') but this was pointless. It seems the... time
for conversation was over and Alexius opened a rift. Dorian and Edric had to work together to find the other companions. They found future Varric first and his sense of humour has altered in the year. I like the line he uses: "Everything that happens to you is weird"
.
Encountered Solas next and Edric told him he looked ill. Solas replied that he was "dying, but no matter". So in this future (given what we know about Solas), why would he be hanging around Redcliffe in a cell for over a year, when he has other ambitions? So does this mean if Alexius/Elder One had succeeded then Solas would just wither away in his prison cell without doing anything? Maybe I'm reading too much into this as this is a hypothetical future. Wandered into one of the castle rooms to find that future Connor had died.
Currently on the Alexius fight without hardly any health. I manage okay against Alexius on his own but find it difficult against his demons. I haven't even gotten his health below 50% yet because I get stuck on the first summoned rift.
I won't post again until I defeat him but at this rate, it might be next year ![]()
(I'm still going to persevere with the nightmare difficulty and with all the trials on)
