I wonder if anyone has cataloged all the cheeseter eggs in the game? There's at least one in every zone, including the DLC zones.
I've not seen anyone with a count yet. I know this one in Crestwood was new to me, and this is my fourth playthrough.

Dwarven warrior playthrough (on nightmare) continued...
Spoilers for "In Hushed Whispers"
Recently started a playthrough with a male human mage this time. He's going to romance Cassandra and support her as Divine. He'll generally be pro-mage, but he's not an extremist. He values peace and order above all. He's about to make the decision to approach either the mages or the templars for help. He wants to support the mages, but on the other hand getting the cooperation of the templars and allying them to the Inquisition could prevent them from continuing their genocidal war against the mages. He will either ally with the mages or conscript the templars. I haven't decided yet, ugh. I've only gone the templar route once so I may be leaning in that direction...
Anyway, here are a few photos from Berengar Trevelyan's travels:
Mini-update: farming is complete. I've got 16 power points (15 for CotJ and 1 for afterwards). Marcus is still level 3 and has 1190/1500 pts toward lvl 4. I crafted some weapon upgrades but I'm using regular weapons (+dragon maul) and item pack armor. Marcus and Cass are going qunari style, while Varric and Solas are sporting Avvar classic black and white.
My difficulty is set to hard, so wish me luck.
Edit for update: getting out of his head and into the Great Hall bumped Marcus to level 4. The others are 50 pts shy still. I tried to avoid all the codex loots but did get the dogma stats (couldn't pass those up!). To be continued tomorrow since I gotta go to bed.
Did you pick up Sera and/or Vivienne, or leave them for later? I'm not sure if Vivienne earns you any XP, but getting Sera does. Skipping them would be really hard for me, I always look forward to picking those two up.
No, I only have Cass, Varric, and Solas. I haven't recruited anyone else, though I could wave at Blackwall from where I was gathering up blood lotus.
Everyone is down to about 1 hp with no health potions left and now they have to hold off waves of reds while Barris and his buddies bring down the barrier. My poor level 4 party has been brutally abused by numerous level 8 horrors.
I'm going to have everyone go hide at the other end of the hall and hope they survive since they are in desperate need of the supply cache on the other side of the barrier. ![]()
Oh wait....if I save and reload I should get all my health points back! ![]()
Edit: well, damn, that didn't work. ![]()
Edit #2: After several botched attempts at hiding, Marcus and crew were finally able to wait out the barrier and get on with killing the envy demon. Not sure exactly how it all went down but one second everyone was flat on their backs after Envy jumped up through the ground, and the next, the battle was over.
I'm not sure if Cole got in a lucky critical hit or what, but everyone survived (for the most part) and they still had 1 health potion left over at the end.
After getting the first groups of Templars settled, Marcus went back to the Hinterlands to pick some more blood lotus and elfroot, enough to make sure everyone has a full belt of potions for whatever comes next. Marcus is still level 4, with 2020/3042 points earned toward level 5. Is it just me, or is 3042 a strange threshold for a level up? Why not just make it 3K?
Next up: IYHSB

Cassandra is dressed for an episode of Xena Warrior Princess. Love it.
This.. seems so wrong on so many levels for Cassandra. So much exposed skin to stab. This is like.. Cassandra on her honeymooon before sexytimes outfit.
I have some screenies but have not had the chance to upload them to the internets yet. I've been reading this giant Sherrilyn Kenyon novel in my spare time that can only be described as emotionally gut wrenching. Nothing quite like crying on the train while on the way to work and feeling emotionally exhausted before you even clock in. Read Styxx (or Acheron - which you should read first) at your own risk. Anyhow.. carry on, friends.!
Reached Skyhold again. I just did Dorian's romance completely, and now I want to do Sera's. But there's a voice in the back of my head telling me 'you can still romance Cullen...' Someone help.

Perhaps she's cosplaying as a character in her favorite guilty pleasure novels, Swords and Shields.

I'm romancing Sera for the first time right now. I couldn't tell you if you should romance her over any others just yet. I'm barely into her romance.
But I have romanced Cullen. I found it to be one of my favorites. There's a couple of really sweet moments where Cullen just wants the Inquisitor to be safe and come home from the fight. Awww. There's also a nice little make-out scene involving his desk.

SeraSeraSeraSera. You won't regret it, I promise.
I just purchased the PlayStation 4 Deluxe Edition of Dragon Age: Inquisition (on sale for 14.00 right now) as well as the Descent and Trespasser DL Cs. It's gonna take a gew hours to download them all and them migrate my PS3 saves, but I can't wait!
It's also been a while since I've last posted here, because I lost interest in playing Inquisition and I had other games to play like Persona 4 Golden and Fallout: New Vegas.

Well, she does have a shield for that sort of thing.
Still, I ended up putting her in different armor for the few extra protection points it offered.
Finished downloading the game, now to the start the long process of migrating all my saves from PS3 to PS4.
Not really much to mention. Just gave Ullia Mint Tooth a spin and I continue to make good progress with her in JOH. Just dinged level 24. However I am having issues dealing with my final three dragons (Hissing Wastes, Third Du Lion, Storm). I found it interesting the thane felt humble to go toe to toe with Ullia as opposed to meeting her with the Thane sitting down. The thane never met a qunari before. I found that interesting. I pretty much need to get Storvaskyr but I plan on heading to the Forbbiden Oasis to finish off the temple since I collected all of the shards (-collecting all of the shards from JOH). I've honestly been jumping games from SKYRIM, DEADPOOL (finished), TTT2, and TR. I still got to get back into RISE OF THE TOMB RAIDER. I've been off/on it. Also Ullia hasn't had any picture worthy moments yet. Next more likely be like JOH or the final fight depending on how the temple goes on NIGHTMARE. I only beaten the temple once on NIGHTMARE and that was with Chasimess Winters (female human DWK/ASSASSIN rouge). I'm unsure about doing this with Ullia since doing Maliaoniss (male elf bow/tempest rouge) turned out to be a fail for the temple.
By the way Welcome back Uncle funny of mine.

For the record I have yet to do a playthrough where I have ditched Sera (I guess I like her that much. Lol?) but I have ditched iron Bull (Rubblocke: male dwarf 2H warrior), Blackwall (Maliaoniss male elf bow/tempest rouge and romanced Dorian), Cole (Lylia On female elf bow rouge), and Vivianne (unsure on who). I don't think skipping Vivianne gives you exp since all it is is a meet and greet and "would you allow me to join the inquisition?" yes/no. Sera, iron Bull and Blackwall all give exp because you kill people in order to get them as allies. Cole is yes/no. if you do CHAMPIONS OF JUST then yes defenetly. But when you reach Skyhold and did IN HUSHED WHISPERS instead then obviously not really.
Trial of the Fool is done....finally. I gave up trying to do IYHSB on hard with trials on after getting my a$$ handed to me about 20 times in the first few waves. Stupid uber-powered barriers and fire mines, and Solas with no Dispel spell yet.
I turned off the trials except the Fool one, and changed the difficulty to casual.
Skipped through most of the Cory cutscene.
Some weird things occurred while tramping through the snow. I could actually run, which has never happened before. I managed to go the wrong way and found an "examine" spot where he said, "Keep going." A little further along, Marcus fell over and sank beneath the snow and I got reset to the second fire pit. Then, in the final part where you are supposed to be moving super slow through hip-deep drifts, Marcus was able to run right up to Cullen, Cass, etc., where he promptly fell over again as they exclaimed, "There he is!"

Final stats:
Level 5, 504/3498 toward Level 6.
Game time: 9:24
After the Skyhold cutscenes, I deleted all my saves after waking up in Haven. Speed-runs just aren't for me. ![]()

"Trail of the fool"?....*Scratches head*....i admit I've been away from this MB for months so I have no clue what your talking about. If you were doing a speedrun on NIGHTMARE it's tricky to do i bet. I have enough of a hard time doing the first two reccomended areas after reaching Haven so jumping over to IN HUSHED WHISPERS or CHAMPIONS OF THE JUST immediately after getting the one sister would be nuts because traditionally "speedruns" require you to do NO SIDE QUESTS and STORY MISSIONS ONLY! This is why at best it would be better to do it on Casual or Normal. I am sure it's possible to do DAI on NIGHTMARE but...pffft....I don't want to.

The trials are part of the Trespasser DLC, though unrelated to the story of Trespasser. They are basically challenges to give some variety to subsequent PTs. This one in particular is a challenge to reach Skyhold before your character reaches level 6. When the trial is checked as active, it halves the experience points you earn. I plan to leave it on for all my future games, just to avoid hitting the level 27 cap before finishing the game.
The trial called "Even Ground" promotes enemies up to your level (it does not scale them down, however) and then challenges you to kill the Ferelden Frostback when it is level 16 or higher. This is another one I plan to always have on, since it prevents you from being over-leveled at later stages in the game. Another promotes random enemies to much tougher versions (for example, super strong barriers that can effectively only be taken out with Dispel, or guard-generation where they won't normally have it) and you get the achievement for killing x number of promoted enemies.
I think they are a lot of fun and make the game a bit more challenging. Still, they don't call it "Trial of the Fool" for nothing.....I was level 4 trying to take out level 8+ promoted enemies and it wasn't working out so well for me. ![]()
I'm taking a DA break to play Jade Empire (loving it so far, even with dated graphics and weird combat I haven't quite figured out yet) but when I get back to DAI, I'm going to replay Marcus to get the "Skyhold by lvl 5" achievement, then do a real PT with my qunari guy. I just don't want to play a new character and miss out on stuff, especially on NM. Besides, I want to redo my Marcus/Dorian PT anyway, and starting out that relationship by never meeting Dorian in Redcliffe should give it a new flavor.
What did you think of Lord Fondlebottom? And his shield? ![]()
I finally made it back to DAI.
Doing a speedrun to (hopefully) get the Trial of the Fool (to Skyhold by lvl 5) achievement. I booted up Marcus again, so this time he is Marcus the Third. Since this is basically a silly throwaway game due to skipping all the fun stuff, I decided wearing silly armor is the way to go.
Well, that and because the dragon armor still makes him look fat.
At the breach

I think after leaving VR he was lvl 3+ 800 pts. He's been trolling the req officer to get decent "don't need to kill anything" req's and so far has 5 of the 15 power points needed to go get the Templars. Next he will head south to close a couple of rifts and meet with the loonies held up in the fort. There are a few agents to collect while there, and maybe some drakestone too, for another requisition. I never thought I'd ever be yelling at my monitor: stop giving me XP!![]()
I can see the wheels turning in Varric's evil writer brain. Hmmmm?! ![]()
What did you think of Lord Fondlebottom? And his shield?
The debate mechanic was confusing the first time I did it, but on a second run, ol' Lord Fondlebottom was put squarely in his place. Not sure what you mean about the shield though?
DA related - will post some pics tomorrow from Marcus' latest speed run.
^ Maybe he's referring to that BP the fellow's wearing? With a picture of a hammer on it.
I thought it was a potato at first. ![]()
It took all night but I can now play all of Inquisition on PS4. The first thing I did was use the Golden Nug with my first Human character. Then I used the Nug with my first Qunari character.
