Reached Skyhold again. I just did Dorian's romance completely, and now I want to do Sera's. But there's a voice in the back of my head telling me 'you can still romance Cullen...' Someone help.

Not sure it will work with Sera but... I've now been able to successfully reproduce being able to romance Blackwall, break up with him during his trial, and then let Cullen help me pick up the pieces of my broken heart.

Edited to add a goofy Cullen grin since I wound up TOP and... well it's Cullen.  ;)

SeraSeraSeraSera. You won't regret it, I promise.

I had so much regret romancing Sera and will never do it again.  It was like romancing my little sister and seeing her boobs was weird.

I'll romance the hell out of Dorian, Cullen or Iron Bull though.  I tried to romance Cass once but she took too damn long.  I have a low tolerance for the slow game, as it were.

Anyhow..  I did the Descent.  We dealt with some earthquakes..

We saw wonderous things, yo..

Please note that I dusted Solas off and actually took him places.  You can see the sheen on his bald head.

Also, I went to the Frostbacks.  I found this dude... Not sure why he is dead.  He had both wine and cheese.  Are those not the two most important food groups?

Cullen does not have that facial hair on PS3. It looks so nice.

So I booted up Inquisition for the first time since September/October, and it seems that the latest Radeon drivers have messed it up. I noticed glitches where none were before, especially in the inventory screen. Nasty black squares appear over the characters. I can fix it by changing the renderer from direct3D to mantle, but that introduces a performance hit, especially in cutscenes. Most annoying. Did anyone else experience similar problems?

Some weird things occurred while tramping through the snow. I could actually run, which has never happened before. I managed to go the wrong way and found an "examine" spot where he said, "Keep going." A little further along, Marcus fell over and sank beneath the snow and I got reset to the second fire pit. Then, in the final part where you are supposed to be moving super slow through hip-deep drifts, Marcus was able to run right up to Cullen, Cass, etc., where he promptly fell over again as they exclaimed, "There he is!"

Before they patched it, I had to replay the snow scene over and over again, because the camp sing-a-long kept crashing. Then I was doing a bunch of videos of the finding Skyhold/become Inquisitor cutscenes, Good thing you can save at the very last part, right before they find you, or else I would have gone nuts.

But I did do my best to break the game before that point. Went in every direction but the one I'm supposed to go in. They did put a couple of very minor easter eggs for crazy people like me -- the Keep Going examine point, for example -- but most of the time it's just time limited. If you don't make forward progress fast enough, it skips you forward to the next section. I even tried just standing still and doing nothing, same deal. I never saw being able to run, though. That's new.

Messing up my roleplay: Part 2.

This time around, the dialogue option I regret is "We should avoid needless slaughter" as a response to Wynne regarding the mages (Broken Circle).

I'd intended to take it slow with my Dalish Warden warming up to humans, as in helping no one in Lothering and coming to care about people's well being by the end of the game. That line I picked hours ago in the gameplay sort of rushes it.

I've tried to rationalize it, like "maybe he just doesn't like this right of annulment" or "well, if he really didn't care he would've sided with the templars". Still, that line I mentioned made it sound like my Warden was really worried about these human mages.

And I suppose it no longer makes sense to hesitate accepting Teagan's request for help when I get to Redcliffe as I'd planned to...

The debate mechanic was confusing the first time I did it, but on a second run, ol' Lord Fondlebottom was put squarely in his place. Not sure what you mean about the shield though?

DA related - will post some pics tomorrow from Marcus' latest speed run.

Sorry - it was Fondlebottom's breasplate with the wedge of cheese on it. :D Cheese is always DA related isn't it? B)

Is that the new Crimson Edition, 16.1? I haven't installed it yet....now I'm afraid too.

No it's 15.12. I've updated a couple of times since the last time I played but not to 16.1 yet. I just noticed that I still have the package for 15.7 on my hard disk. Might try rolling back to that...

Hmmm... Old driver didn't do anything. I swear I never saw anything like that before, and the only thing that changed since the last time I played was the driver. Weird. Oh well, it's still playable.

I've made Tier 3 Keeper armor for Solas and my Female Elf Inquisitor. I also gave Solas, Cassandra, and Inquisitor crafted Hakkon weapons. And I'm still in Haven.

Well it's human and elven mages. If you've any sympathy for non-dalish elves there's an easy justification.

Not helping :P

So far, flirting with Sera is going well. She made me cookies :D Now I'm in the "I like you Sera," - "I get to know you, we'll see" -phase.

Just came back from a vacation in Austria, so I couldn't play DA, but I still did something in the DA'verse by finally finishing The Masked Empire and Last Flight (both are great books) and listening to the DAI soundtrack to fall asleep.

Here some of my fav moments from the two books  :)  (ofc behind spoilers for those who haven't read them yet  ;) )

With the words of Varric: "Well, Sh!t!" (The Masked Empire)

This part had me laughing so hard. (Last Flight)

The Nug is so, so great. All those hours farming for tier 2 and 3 armor upgrades on my other characters was worth it.

Like seriously, Hunter Coat Legs were the hardest thing to come by.

Of course, I don't have every armor and weapon upgrade yet, but this will make getting them all far easier.

Oh, I also got my first Trial reward, a useless diamond. Luckily I saved before opening it so I could get something better, and I got a Belt of the Fire Pack the very next load. I'm using the Even Ground trial btw.

I've been doing a "let's just explore the maps and not worry about actually questing just yet" playthrough and I have to admit I was slightly proud of myself this morning when I picked up a bottle in The Hissing Wastes and... COMPLETED the quest!  I've completed it before, but not without using a guide to help me remember places I hadn't looked.

So the trick to speeding up War Table operations is ever easier on PS4. I can just change the date without having to save and close out the game.

Okay, I'm at that point where I'm ready to mod the Wicked Grace out of my DAI setup. I'm only looking for appearance mods, nothing that changes gameplay.

Any recommendations?

SK Hair mods (the several) look really good. Waist length hair also looks good.

There are a few total cloth retexture mods, any favorites?

I'm looking through the IQ jammy replacements. Most of them are too frilly or skimpy or armory (like the wear your Trespasser armor to bed one) for me. For calibration, my preferred vanilla jammy is the Trespasser Casual/Vivacity outfit. Something along those lines would be good.

Vivacity_-_female_elf.png

Any other suggestions are most welcome.

EDIT: Seems that there aren't as many mods for female dwarf as for every other female race. Unfair! I'm starting a female Cadash Rogue Artificer, fwiw.

Express my rebel mage views to Viv, watching her approval drop like a stone. Every dialog choice resulted in a "Viv strongly disapproves."

It was awesome

I can't help ya except to say try one and see A) what it really looks like and B) what it does to your gameplay.

I couldn't use mods on my old PC because already slow loading screens got horribly worse after just installing a couple of hair mods.  Now, the load screens are fine, but I haven't found anything "polished" enough to satisfy me (I will however admit I'm UBER picky about the appearance of any modded content).

I'm a Templar girl myself these days but anything that annoys Viv is a win in my book!  Have you given her the wrong heart yet?

I decided to load up Eldrida Trevelyan. She's a mage who I made to romance Josephine, but I hadn't even taken her through the prologue.. I spent a good part of today hopping between Haven and The Black Emporium, farming materials and tweaking Eldrida's face a little. Now She, Cass, Varric and Solas have Tier 3/4 armour and weapons. Next job is to get enough power to get to Val Royeaux

I've no suggestions myself but I think I might have a look at some mods, too, now that I've come back to the game and all the DLC and patches are out. I'd welcome people's input.
