Wahy Levellan, Chapter 2a: Waking up in Haven After putting on her fancy new armor and dashing staff, which were delivered to her cabin, Wahy ventured outside and saw a horde of people waiting for her. From what she could hear, she was now somewhat revered... as the Herald of a Shemlen God.. or demi-God or whatever. She moved on to speak to Cassandra in the Chantry. Along the way she heard more 'rumors' about herself. These Shemlens really like to talk.
Just before she got to Casandra, she heard Cass bickering with Chancelor Roddick. It appears the now less angry Templar is on her side. Good.
After this little Shemlem bickering party, where Cassandra reinstated the Inquistion, Wahy was supposed to talk, among others, the blacksmith. But she decided elsewise. She immediatly returned to the Chantry, where she got introduced to Cullen and Josephine, and finally got a proper introduction of Leliana.
Wahy's sensing an overabundance of Shemlen in the Inquisition.
She got access to the map of Southern Thedas. She ordered the scouts to go the Hinterlands, but didn't immediatly go there herself. She sent out her advisers to do some missions first. Or well, not her advisors in person, most likely her agents, cause they never seem to leave Haven. Contact was made with her own clan using the idea of that cute Shemlen woman Josephine.
She then went to see Josephine in her office:
After this nice display by Josephine, the Marquis left and granted us our stay in Haven. Wahy then talked to Josephine about who she is, why she's with the Inquisition and whatnot. Basically, it was an interrogation veiled as a normal conversation.
In Jospehine's office, there was also a city dwelling Elf mage who's the Inquistion's creature researcher. After talking to her about her for a while and suggesting she would've been better off if she were Dalish, Minaeve's eyes lit up in rage and she told Wahy not to let the absensce of Vallaslin fool her; she was in fact born with the Dalish, but left to fend on her own after they discovered she had magical powers.. at the age of 7. Yikes, the cruelty. That would never have happened in the Levellan clan. Turns out we Dalish aren't all that good ourselves.
She left the chantry on her way to see the Inquisition's alchemist, a not so chatty nor friendly guy who really doesn't want to do the job he's doing. Great, hope he doesn't turn our potions into poisions that eat you from the inside.
Outside of the alchemist's house was the other Elf, Solas, the one without Vallaslin but who apparantly has never been in an alienage nor is he Dalish, who appears to know a little too much about what's going on with the Breach. She decided to talk to him:
And then she questioned him: about the Fade, the ancient Elves (of which he seems to know a great deal through his... Fade walking), other Dalish and the Breach. So much knowledge, such a calm, soothing voice.
But there's something not quite right here...
Tune in again tomorrow for chapter 2bI told you this was gonna take forever. Reading every codex entry and taking every investigate option again, like the first time (except Codex entries, have never read them, this is the first time), to really get into my character, is going to take a loooong time.
But the Blood Lotus codex entry is hilarious.
